After several trips to Roatan where we were not satisfied with our accommodations we finally found a winner with Seagrapes. Everything we had hoped for and more! The rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The TV offered lots of American stations, the AC was efficient, and the bathroom was clean and attractive with plenty of hot water and fresh bath towels daily. Tashana and Shorell in the dining room served our breakfast and lunch with meals prepared to order and always tasty. We especially liked the salads with homemade dressing and the pasta bolognese.

The dive shop crew went above and beyond trying to make sure we had good safe dives even though there was a tropical depression in the area for 3 days. Each of those days they bused us across the island to where they had moved the boat and the water was flat calm. Kevin, Ricky, and Ricardo were great guides and Michael was always at hand to assist getting us on and off the boat and take care of topside duties when needed.

Despite the weather we had a great time and will return.

We stayed at the Seagrape in April, taking a two week package of accommodation and diving. The location was very nice as the resort has relatively large grounds with a surprising variety of plants and trees and even rabbits and agouti wandering around.

Accommodation is not fancy, but the waterfront cottage we staying in was pleasant and had a fridge, air conditioning and a nice deck to sit on. The maids did a great job of cleaning and changing the linen every day in the morning while we were diving. Our package included breakfast and lunch at their restaurant which looks out onto the grounds. While no choices were provided, the meals tended to be very good. Surprisingly, though we were there for two weeks there was no apparent repetition.

A short walk into town gives access to a large number of restaurants for supper. We were glad to be away from the West End when the partying got loud over the "Semana Santa" celebrations over the Easter weekend.

Diving was very enjoyable, primarily due to the efforts of divemasters Kevin and Ricardo, and boat captain Admiral. Arriving at the dock, our BC's and regs were mounted on the tanks, leaving us to check and adjust. Dive sites were less than 10 minutes away. The divemasters pointed out much interesting sealife including turtles, seahorses, eagle rays and moray eels. Kevin was great for macro life including three species of pipefish, nudibranchs, tube blennies and bristleworms.

The resort goes out of their way to make you comfortable and the dive guides will put you on pristine sites.
The ocean side bungalows are comfortable and steps away from the pool.
The location is only a short walk to West End where the after dive fun continues.

Just finished my Divemasters course at Seagrape Plantation with Ricky as my instructor. This was my second visit since November. Seagrape is truly a wonderful resort. Ricky is an outstanding instructor - knowledgeable, professional, patient and a really nice guy. Yes, the beach cottages and resort are extremely spacious, clean and quaint; the dive shop, equipment and boats are fully staffed, in excellent condition and right on great dive sites; the resort itself is on a very quite and beautiful part of the West End and only a 5 minute walk to great restaurants, bars, shops, etc.; and, the resort restaurant serves wonderful home style breakfasts and lunches; etc. etc.. However, the best part of the resort is the truly exceptional, warm and friendly folks who run Seagrape. From Mariela, Rachel and Rhoda on the administrative side; Ricky, Kevin, Ricardo, Dan, Michael, Hugo and Angie in the Dive Shop; Tshana at the restaurant and Angelo and Chelsea in logistics; everyone at Seagrape makes you feel like you are part of the family that owns and runs the resort. That really makes a difference when you are looking for a great dive destination.

We have stayed at Seagrape the past 2 years, and have booked it again for 2022. The staff is courteous, professional, welcoming, prompt, and helpful. From pick up at the airport to arranging a rental car for us, ensuring a clean bungalow, serving breakfast and lunch with adjustments if necessary for specific diets, we could count on them. The plantation is beautiful, with lush greenery and flowers about. The bungalows are clean and very well maintained. The pool is clean and fresh, with a spacious deck and well many lounge chairs. Seagrape is a peaceful and relaxing resort. You can snorkel right off the property, and dive from their boat just a 1-minute walk away. Seagrape is a short 5-minute walk to a multitude of restaurants, small grocery stores with beverages and basics, souvenir stores, fishing charters, and water taxis to West Bay.

This family-run resort was an outstanding choice for a visit to Roatan. We booked a 5-day dive package. It included a charming seaside bungalow, two delicious meal a day, 10 wonderful dives, and transportation to and from the airport. The dive operation was on site, professional, with very small groups. After watching beautiful sunsets every night poolside , we took a short 10 minute walk into town to eat at one of the delicious restaurants on the beach. The entire staff was attentive and a joy to be around. All in all, it was a tremendous trip. I can't recommend this resort enough! Thank you all for a wonderful trip!!

Seagrape Plantation was recommended by diving friends for our first trip to Roatan. From the moment we were met at the airport, we knew we had made the right choice. We stayed 10 days including a 7-day dive package and are planning to return. We chose an ocean front bungalow. The bed was very comfortable, and we felt secure with cleanliness during this Covid time. I loved sitting on the porch listening to the waves beat against the lava. My serenity was not disturbed by loud music.
The dive team was top-notch: Rachel, Kevin, Hugo, and Capt. Admiral were terrific. They provided the extra care I needed as a result of multiple back surgeries. I was handed my gear on the dive boat swim step and perfected the face plant entry as Captain Admiral held the weight of my tank. All my gear was taken from me prior to exiting the water. There was no rush, just expert proficiency and kindness. The dive sites chosen were excellent. The reef is healthy, fish diverse, and dive masters pointed out the little critters I might have missed. I appreciated the fact that our gear was rinsed, hung, and securely stored each day at the dive center.
We enjoyed breakfast and lunch each day at their restaurant. The set menu was varied, delicious, and served with a smile. It was so convenient. In the afternoons we wandered the lively town of West End, or read a book. At the office Mariela was ready to book any additional tours of the island, but we chose just to relax.
Seagrape Plantation will be the place we return to on Roatan. Next time with young people to earn their Padi diving certificate and grandchildren to play. This is a perfect family vacation spot.

Seagrape is an excellent Resort, I stayed Aug.8-12th, 2021, and I can’t wait to go back. Mariella is the absolute best at coordinating everything, airport pickup/dropoff to tours. I loved how they make you feel like family, you are taken care of your entire stay. The resort is so beautiful and all the employees are amazing. My first day there Chelsea took me and two others on a tour of the island and we ended up on the other side of the island hanging out, dancing and listening to live music with the locals, which made a perfect first day.
I failed to inform them I’m a pescatarian and as soon as they were aware, they made sure I had something available, that was delicious.
The dives were amazing, Ricardo and Hisen was my our dive masters. They made sure that we seen everything, and Ricardo even helped me face my fears of night diving. Seeing the Sea of Pearls was breathtaking, and actually seeing an octopus was awesome. Rachel was a boss at hooking up dive trips. You will get spoiled not having to carry your gear the entire stay.
I stayed in a bungalow with the breakfast/lunch package and that’s a must, waking up to the gorgeous view was the perfect start to every perfect day. My bungalow was very clean, and cleaned daily. There’s no TV, which I loved, and the room is very spacious. No microwave, but the restaurant was willing to heat my food for me. I got to watch the sunset from the hammock on my porch. This was the absolute best vacation I’ve ever had by far and I love to travel.
It’s a very short walk to town where there’s a local beach, shops, grocery stores to get snacks. I felt safe my entire solo stay. You can catch a water taxi to West Bay, for $5 or a regular cab for $10, if your alone. I can’t definitely see me making this a yearly trip. This Resort is absolutely a hidden treasure. If you want to be treated like family, eat great food, have amazing dive experiences, and wake up to breathtaking views every morning, than this is the place to stay. I love this place!!!

I researched a lot of diving resorts in Roatan and found the Seagrape Plantation the best value on the island.
From the moment I left the airport it was there driver who made sure I had the opportunity to get to the resort for the afternoon dive, thanks Chelsea.
Then it was great diving day after day. With two boats leaving for any skill level, whether new diver, recreational diver or nitrox enriched diving.
I signed up for 10 dives but added 4 more on that, with breakfast and lunch included for non stop access to the diving.
Also Mariela was so nice after the trip was over so I could get some video of a moray eel another diver had on video.
The dive masters were great and happy to give us the time of our lives.

We were met at the airport by a smiling and dancing Cleve and what a welcome to this wonderful island! He gave of a short tour on our way to Seagrape, and had a selection of beers to try when we arrived at lunch. They stayed open late so we could eat, and we had a delicious first meal! The bungalow was large and had everything we needed. The WIFI was spotty and we had to leave the room to use it, but we wanted to disconnect so this actually benefits us greatly. It limited our time spent worrying about anything other than enjoying the island! Bungalows have no TV, who needs it with that view! Admiral, Ricky and Hugo at the dive center were awesome! We saw a seahorse our first day, and our last day of dives! Had some rough weather, so we had flexibility and took our island tour with Cleve one day when waves were too rough! What a treat! Each breakfast and lunch was great, and the wonderful kitchen staff made a cake for husband's birthday!! Sweet chef! The grounds are always being cleaned and the gardens are beautiful! Mariella and Jessica made sure we had everything we could want and got our exit covid tests scheduled for our last day...😪...We had 2 dives a piece that we weren't able to use, so they added those to our package when we come back in August, along with making sure we would be in our same room! A1! This was our first trip to the island, and we were taken in by this family (everyone is related) with such open arms that we had to come back. We cancelled our other destination!!!
