We have booked Seagrape Plantation Resort for a family retreat. We had 2 bungalows with a/c and fan. The bungalows have a nice ocean view where you can feel the breeze. Nice breakfast with different menu each day. You cannot take a swin in the ocean from the resort as there are too many corals and waves. But there are only a 6 minutes walk to the nice beach at Half Moon Bay (West End) which is wonderful. The pool at the resort is nice and our kids enjoyed to spend their time there. The pool area and the outdoor areas of the resort seems a little bit worn out and the photos you see when you book; does not match what you get. But the pool is ok and kids loves it. The wifi works at the pool area but there are no wifi in the bungalows.
Always a beautiful experience. As far as I am concerned it is the best place to stay and dive. I always meet new friends and old ones! Like me, they just keep coming back. I stay in the bungalows near the pool. When not diving that's where the action is. The grounds are so beautifully kept. Rooms always nice with good service every day. Ricky's Buffet, on site, is great! Dive staff is the best. Such a great value.
I stayed at the SeaGrape in May 2022. The staff was amazing. Always helpful, and pleasant. Location was situated withing walking distance to town. Food choices, while limited, were very good. Would definitely stay here again, in fact planning a return trim next year.
What an amazing vacation at Seagrape Plantation Resort. The cottage was perfect with amazing ocean view from the porch hammock. The restaurant provided an assortment of delightful meals. The dive shop and staff insured we had memorable dives daily! Everyone treated us like family! We will definitely return!!
The resort is right on the water and is very clean and well maintained. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The divemaster's are excellent in and out of the water. I found Roatan to be some of the best diving I have done. I plan on returning to the Seagrape resort next year.
I just returned from a week in bungalow 4B at Seagrape. I would definitely go back again. The bungalows are well maintained and the grounds are lush and impeccably cared for. But most impressive is the staff: Housekeepers, kitchen crew, office staff, and everyone involved with the boats and the dock were super helpful and had a great attitude.
We stayed at the Seagrape in April, taking a two week package of accommodation and diving. The location was very nice as the resort has relatively large grounds with a surprising variety of plants and trees and even rabbits and agouti wandering around. Accommodation is not fancy, but the waterfront cottage we staying in was pleasant and had a fridge, air conditioning and a nice deck to sit on. The maids did a great job of cleaning and changing the linen every day in the morning while we were diving. Our package included breakfast and lunch at their restaurant which looks out onto the grounds. While no choices were provided, the meals tended to be very good. Surprisingly, though we were there for two weeks there was no apparent repetition. A short walk into town gives access to a large number of restaurants for supper. We were glad to be away from the West End when the partying got loud over the "Semana Santa" celebrations over the Easter weekend. Diving was very enjoyable, primarily due to the efforts of divemasters Kevin and Ricardo, and boat captain Admiral. Arriving at the dock, our BC's and regs were mounted on the tanks, leaving us to check and adjust. Dive sites were less than 10 minutes away. The divemasters pointed out much interesting sealife including turtles, seahorses, eagle rays and moray eels. Kevin was great for macro life including three species of pipefish, nudibranchs, tube blennies and bristleworms.…
Our family of six spent a week in the bungalows while diving with the resort's dive shop and the stay was wonderful. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the grounds well maintained and the dive shop more than met our diving needs. The resort is a short walk to the West End restaurants and activities, but maintains a nicely quiet profile. But what makes Seagrape Plantation Resort outstanding are the people. From the initial communications with Mariela to the front desk help of Tirza to Rhonda, Kevin, Ricardo, Hugo, Admiral and Corvin in the dive shop and the restaurant, housekeeping and grounds keeping staff, everyone was a pleasure with which to interact and make Seagrape a special place. We very much enjoyed our time at Seagrape and look forward to a return trip.
I stayed in an oceanfront bungalow which was simple, but clean and delightful. The resort's grounds are beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. I purchased a 5 night/4 dive package with breakfast and lunch, which was really great value. The food was delicious and the dive equipment was very well maintained. But the best thing about this lovely West End resort is its people. Competent, responsive, extraordinarily thoughtful and courteous, everyone makes you feel genuinely appreciated and cared for.
I brought my 12 year old son here for a week of diving. It was exactly right. From getting picked up at the airport to checking in every single person you meet here is super friendly and willing to do anything they need to to make sure you’re taken care of. When we first got to our room we thought it was a bit simple. After spending a little time on the island we realized it was just perfect. We had a standard room but the bungalows looked amazing. We had two comfy beds, cold a/c, a tv with American satellite programming for our down time and good wifi. There’s also a mini fridge to keep the cerveza cold. The maids cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels each day. The beautiful grounds were always kept clean by a busy staff. The pool was a nice place to relax out by the ocean. What we came here to do was dive. With only 15 dives under our belts we needed a skilled dive master to make it a good experience. We didn’t have a good experience we had an amazing one. Our dive master Kevin was super professional and knowledgeable about everything to do with our dives. He was helpful and patient and made us feel safe and comfortable during our 10 dives. A couple times people had equalization problems. He took care of them safely and efficiently and made sure the others all still had an enjoyable time. Between him and our captain Admiral it was quickly apparent why other people on the boat had been coming back for years. We really enjoyed this week. Seagrape is a short walk to town, has literally the most friendly and helpful people on staff and runs a great dive shop. It’s not a matter of if we’ll be back but a matter of when.…
