We had a fantastic time at Anthony’s Key. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for diving and relaxing. The food was SPECTACULAR. We stayed in a bungalow on the island. Cleaning staff was great—everyone was, really. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We did not stay at the resort. We were on a cruise ship that offered this dolphin experience as an excursion. This was an awesome experience. I would highly recommend taking it. The only draw back was we had to get in a small boat to go to the dolphin pens.
I did not stay at Anthony's Key, but rather booked a dolphin experience with them and truly enjoyed my time. The guides were extremely courteous and knowledgeable, and they gave us a truly intimate view of the dolphins. Speaking with people living near the sanctuary, it is also good to know that the dolphins are so well cared for and that they live happy, long lives. I would recommend this to anyone living or staying on the island.
Our family did the dolphin experience and snorkeling. If you are on the fence, do both! It was amazing to learn about the dolphins and touch them, but it was even better to swim around the lagoon and play with them! Our whole group had a great time with the trainers and the gentle beautiful dolphins!
We just came back from our trip and we have booked again for next year. My daughter was enrolled in the dolphin camp and she had a blast. I rarely have been in a resort where the kids activities are so well coordinated with the diving experience for the adults. The people at the diving shop were extremely helpful when I had problems with my equipment. The rooms were spacious and in the afternoons we loved sitting on the deck’s hammocks - just make sure that you have bug repellent later in the day :) Shared facilities were always clean. All the staff was friendly. The menu at the restaurant is limited - 2 option for starters, 2 for entree + a vegetarian option - but everything was tasty.
We came here June 30th on the day of my birthday with my family. We reserved in advanced about two weeks prior to the date. An I paid two days before the event. We were staying at a hotel close by and took a water taxi to the resort. We booked only the dolphin encounter since I had my 6 and 3 year old. We checked in at the front, signed our waivers and waited for the boat ride to take us to where the dolphins were at. They had a small training at the beginning that was offered in either Spanish or English. It lasted maybe 15 min and then we waited till we were able to go in groups to the beach near the dolphins. We were split in about 3 groups of 8 and each group had an instructor that gave us info about the dolphin that we had in front of each group. Our instructor was funny and informative. Our dolphin was Bailey and she gave us quite a show with tricks, singing and kisses. This was a beautiful experience! My kids loved it and were not scared at all. We were able to touch her and take Pictures with her. The water felt nice and the dolphins together looked beautiful! Would Definitely recommend for the family! They even had snorkeling with the dolphins but for sure we will come back to do that when our kids are older. Loved the experience! Thank you!…
This was such an amazing and educational experience. My only regret is that I didn't do the encounter + snorkeling with dolphins package! A note of caution would be to count on spending more time than the website says, because the experience itself lasted longer than 30 minutes (but so fun!) and you have to count in the short boat ride and prep time as well.
100% Recommended, we had a great time with the dolphins, and I would do it again. I booked this experience directly with Anthony's Key Resort, I loved the place, the people, the dolphins, everything was perfect!!
My party and I went on a diving excursion at Anthony’s Key through a Royal Caribbean cruise. I can honestly say that was the best decision ever. Our Dive Master, Edwin, was a fantastic guide. He led us on two 1 tank dives through beautiful coral reefs and canyons of reef. We saw tons of marine life, to include a lovely seahorse. We enjoyed the excursion so much that we are planning a dive trip just to their resort. 5⭐️. 10/10 recommend!
We came to AKR after a friend recommended the place. We were blown away by everything the minute we stepped through customs. They send you tags for your luggage ahead of time and they know who you are when you walk out of customs and they introduce themselves and take your bags from there to the resort. We were then put on a bus with all the other travelers that were going to AKR so from the airport you are taken directly to the resort. We are used to having to stop many times before getting where we stay. Once at the resort they had us all go to a reception area where they got us wrist bands and a welcome drink. Then we headed to our rooms on the island and our luggage was brought to us within minutes. We had requested to be near the other 2 couples which we were and we had requested David as our dive master. The next day when we met David and our boat captain Jimmy we knew we were going to have an amazing time. The new restaurant on the ocean was not finished yet but we did love the current restaurant on the hill in the lush rain forest it was so beautiful. The day we were leaving we ran into Julio the owner and he gave myself and my husband a tour of the new restaurant and lobby and we can't wait to go back so we can see it done and running. The food at the resort was amazing and not a buffet anywhere. One day we met a new couple that had just arrived and when they heard we were divers she asked if we had seen a seahorse while we were diving and I said no we saw 6-8 of them. She was very excited about the prospect of seeing one so I hope she got to. We do not have a single complaint about the resort or the people that work to make everything perfect. Okay one complaint was I had to come home.…
