We just returned from a week stay at Anthony's Key Resort (AKR). From the moment we landed in Roatan, AKR provided excellent customer service. To be honest, the great customer service started even before we arrived with our communications with Vivian. She is truly an ambassador for AKR. Everyone is terrific (just to name a few) Israel and Gregory who met us at the airport, helped us when our luggage didn't arrive and truly saved us when all the flights were cancelled upon our departure. Yolanda who got us settled in at the resort. Hill, Steven, and Saul who provided excellent dining service. Lucas (was our dive master) and Santos (was our Captain) really made the trip complete. I cannot say enough good words about them. The accommodates were amazing; the view was amazing and I really think AKR has thought of everything. They were safety conscious (with regards to COVID) but still allowed a sense of freedom. Thank you for making this an amazing experience and hope to see you in the future. Clinton and Elizabeth…
What is the best thing you can say about a vacation destination - It Just Keeps Getting Better! And Anthony's Key is constantly getting better! Just finished our 12 or 13th visit to AKR and had a really good time. Of course people make it the best and AKR's people are by far the best of the best. The owner is on the property talking with the guest and very proud of the on-going renovations and upgrades, as he should be, they are fabulous! The new reception area and restaurant is going to exceptional when it is complete From the time that Gregory meets you at the airport and takes your bags, to meeting Melany and Yvonne at check-in, the whole team at AKR makes you feel welcome and relaxed. The dive operation is top notch - Denny is the best! The restaurant staff (Thanks Loren, Saul, Perry, Steven and Hill) for taking care of us to the bar staff (Thanks to Timmy and Morrison) for keeping our glasses full and the taxi boat operators were all great. AKR creates a friendly, laid back atmosphere where you can meet new friends and explore the reefs of Roatan. We had some bad weather and Melany went out of her way to make sure everyone was taken care and we all had something to keep us busy, including an afternoon trip to the West End and an afternoon at Roatan Island Brewing Company. You should plan to go, just remember, you need to be bring bug spray and ant-itch cream. But don't let the bugs stop you - you will have an awesome time.…
When have of the other guests you meet are returning for the fourth, fifth, and even twelfth time this already tells you a lot about the place. This is an amazing dive resort. Everything is well thought off and well organized. At the same time very easy going and really nice staff. The rooms, or let’s call the bungalows are great – AC and comfortable beds. The best part, however, is that they are at the water’s edge, so the view is stunning and the sound of the small waves breaking an invite to relaxation. There is a small motorboat the crosses you over the mainland and I never waited more than 2 mins for the boat to arrive. The restaurant is great. Not a buffet but always great options to choose from and every dish well prepared and tasty. Diving! Wow! Three dives per day and two days per week a night dive. Plus, they also have a shore dive you can do on your own, so if you are looking to spend a week here, you can do more than 20 dives weather permitting. The boats are incredibly comfortable and the captain and divemaster super competent and experienced. The dive shop well organized and runs smoothly. WiFi is just fair and will support emails, but not big uploads of pics and videos The one thing they can improve is there online check-in process and form filling. Does not work well and I had to go through it four times...and it is not a short form... Everything here is special and I certainly plan to return.…
We had a great time at Anthony Key. The rooms were so cute and cleaned perfectly each day. The diving was great with a Marlin the first week we stayed. He truly is an asset to the company as was our boat captain Ross. The second week the sea was rougher and the diving was not as enjoyable. The food is very vey good. To be honest, our first week there the service and food were better than the second week. Even the bartender at the pool was super friendly the first week, and the second week not so much. I feel like I had the dream team the first week and the second team the next week. Some people that made our time great were Luis, Marvin, Yolanda, Steven, Ross, Kevin, Denny, the girls in the snack shop, David, Pete, Tati, and Edgar. Yolanda was so nice and a great representative of Anthony’s Key. We were even able to talk with the owner and his son. Both of them are down to earth and kind. Overall it was a wonderful trip. We met so many nice people. …
I just spent a week diving at Anthony’s and even with Delta brushing, the diving is great. The staff was so accommodating and pleasant. The food choices were great, the food made with fresh ingredients and seasoned well. The cabins were very comfortable on the island. I dove on the Sabrina with dive master Ven and captain Santos. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful they were. Ven can find the tiniest fish and life underwater. Santos cares about your dive as well. The set up for diving and snorkeling is great.
