Absolute perfection! John and Barbara are so hospitable and sweet. Mel, Angel, and the rest of the staff are shining stars. The moment you walk through the doors your tension will melt away. The food is amazing as well as the dining experience. If you decide you love this island like we did, and you want to look into purchasing...

Wow. Usually, I see the stunning photos online and figure it will be 60% or so of the expectation they set. Mayoka was 200%. From our initial email conversations, the bar was set high. John sent information on currency, suggestions to make the trip smooth, list of attractions on the island with contact numbers, everything to make planning easy and...

Unless you want to stay in an impeccably beautiful, small , intimate resort on the beach....unless you want a romantic getaway with your spouse or significant other...unless you want to wake up to the best breakfasts on the island...unless you want to enjoy the beautiful ocean outside your patio.. I hate to write this review because I'd love to leave...

I've been meaning to go to Roatan since early 80s, as I'd heard it was a scuba Mecca. It definitely lived up to my expectations. I no longer scuba, but snorkeling is great, and easy to get to. We loved the Mayoka. We had the Royal suite, which was very comfortable and convenient. Unlike most hotels, we felt like visitors...

I stayed at Mayoka in the middle of July 2016 which is sort of the shoulder season in this part of the world. The managers (John and Barbara) were gracious and accommodating and the staff were professional and thorough. The property itself is really special, right on the water, intimate yet full of modern conveniences like wifi, air conditioning, a...

We stayed at Mayoka in mid-December 2015 and had a wonderful time, even though the weather was on and off sunny/rainy for most of the trip. John and Barbara went out of their way to make sure our stay was great, and that all of our needs were met. They rented a boat for the day to take us around...

Oh Mayoka, how we love thee. Let us count the ways: * Serenity - quiet mornings above the trees, birds call and bright green lizards scamper from leaf to leaf. Infinity pool flows and private corners of the walkways and decks are brilliantly illuminated. * Comfort - our every wish fulfilled, from perfect breakfasts and custom made sandwiches to pasta...

My wife and I just left Mayoka after spending the holiday weekend in the Mayoka Suite. Everything was wonderful. John, Barbara, Natalie, Alex and Angel all knew our names and went out of their way to make our stay better. The food is also better than anywhere else on the island. We never go back to the same place twice,...
