This place is very nasty. For 800gh a night it’s not worth it. I stayed in room 116 and water leaked all over the bathroom floor into the bedroom after I took a shower. Do not waste ur money. U are better off staying at a cheaper place. Zero star if I could. If u are looking for a place to stay, please stay aware from this place. I had to tell the manager the place needs work and she agreed with me. I am writing this review so that consumers will know not to book this expensive yet dirty hotel. There is nothing at this place that is worth the price. Just stay away
We came to the Elmina beach resort hungry from touring the Cape Coast and Elmina Castle and we expected our food to be served after 10 minutes from placing the order. It's beautiful architecture and the sea breeze. That notwithstanding, we were excited for our last destination because we could finally rest and have a whole meal while enjoying the sea breeze.
We stayed in this hotel while on a Ghana trip with Can Do Land Tours for 2 nights. This resort is huge and the walk to our rooms was long and confusing. There are lots of auxiliary buildings with rooms in them. You have to be very mindful to be able to find your room after dinner. The beds and bed linen where nice. The rooms were clean. We ended up changing our rooms the second night and the room did not have the modern key which made it very difficult to go for dinner and get back into our room. We had to ask another guest to help us. We ate dinner in the main dining room each evening. The food was OK but it took forever to be served and then get your dinner. We swam in the pool, one afternoon and it was wonderful.
This was my most preferred hotel in Cape coast and the tag line is saying it all my feelings about this hotel. As I said this is my last visit because what I saw the changes within a month : 1. Poor individual customer service 2. Only focus to corporate clients for big parties and conference where one don't need much of personal care 3. Too many mosquitoes in the room and no help even after follow up 4. Very poor / low lights in room and half of them don't work and same again no help even you request for a change 5. Poor in room service, even after 3 calls and waited for more than 40minutes no one turned back to pick up the room dining plates 6. Only plus thing that they never say no to any request but will not fulfill the same I will miss the foods and restaurants of this hotel in future. Good luck …
The location is, on the water. The hotel is large. I found it to be clunky, to get around. The design is confusing. There is no elevator. There are three floors and a lot, of steps. There was a long walk, from the lobby, to the rooms. There are showers, in the bath tub that may not be safe, for older travelers. So I would caution, to ask for a shower that you do not have, to climb into. There is a restaurant, on site. Food choices are limited. There are T.V. wifi and other amenities. They have a pool. The bed was comfortable. The room clean.
Beautiful!!! The grounds were so picture perfect and had a gorgeous beach. The food was awesome and very affordable. We stayed here 2 nights on our last stop to Elmina. The rooms were adequate and very clean. I wished we had more time to explore the grounds. I would stay here again.
Rooms were clean, bed comfortable and AC worked great. There was a beautiful view of the water. Staff were friendly and helpful. A few things could be upgraded but overall recommended. As a vegetarian, food options in restaurant were limited and I did not particular find the veg options very tasty.
My family and I came to this establishment to eat. The door greeter was very pleasant and helpful but that’s where it all ended. Went into the restaurant, wasn’t greeted, they gave us 3 different menu’s none for children. We asked for bottled water and the waitress came out with a bottle and no cups, she didn’t even know how to open a beer bottle with a bottle opener. Maybe they should give a class or two before they start new workers. To Top it all off, my wife order Snapper and they gave her Cod, I ordered pasta and they gave me the seafood platter. Craziest part is my mother in law told them they got the order wrong and they didn’t try to rectify it. When they brought the receipt out, all the orders were correct (on paper) but they decided to do their own thing. Very pleasant front desk to the hotel. Restaurant service and workers need a lot of work!…
We came here for a one night getaway. The service was excellent, helpful, and friendly. We enjoyed the meals and the view of the ocean out of our window was perfect. We loved sleeping with the sound of the waves right out our window. Would recommend again!
The Elmina Beach Resort is a huge hotel complex along the coast side with a very nice surrounding and also very beautiful design. The place is well kept, clean and secure. Internet works very well A little pity was the not so nicely presented breakfast - when coming later, it might look a bit messy, but anyhow it is of good quality.
