I was pleasantly surprised when after 15 minutes of a rough road, we arrived at this beach oasis, with a hearty greeting from the lodge’s manager. This place was reccomended by my tour company and I wouldn’t have found it otherwise. There are palm trees everywhere, beautiful clean lodges (I had an issue with the toilet in my first room and was promptly moved to another), the sound of the waves lull you to sleep but the lodges are far enough back from the water that it doesn’t disturb you and prevent sleeping. AC was fantastic. Wi-fi was very slow but the 3G network out there was good enough intermittently (and honestly it was nice to disconnect). Food was good. They have a great bar selection including Malibu to get your pineapple and Malibu on the beach on. If you need a day to just unplug, this might be it. I also appreciated how kind the owners were and they even helped me take some pictures of myself since I was travelling solo!

In November of 2019, my aunt, sister and I stayed at this resort and were blown away by the incredible hospitality. The location is stunning and rejuvenating. The staff made us feel so welcome. This place truly made our stay in Ghana unforgettable. Would definitely stay here again!

This has been a constant stay when I bring my groups annually. There’s nothing like it in Cape Coast in terms of hospitality and serenity. Auntie Agnes runs this establishment single-handedly and does an amazing job with the help of some of the nicest staff you will ever meet. I mean that. No one is kinder than Adjetey, who does everything with a smile. And Echo looks quiet and stern, but he has a heart of gold.
In all honesty, this is a very quaint establishment. It’s not a European or American hotel, so don’t expect those standards. Expect it to be clean, comfortable, have good air conditioning, incredible food, and absolutely amazing hospitality.
The lodge is off the beaten track, down a very long and bumpy road, but it’s worth every bump because when you arrive, you literally land in paradise. I think this is the only Cape Coast hotel with an unobscured coastline, and the view and the water is amazing! What a beautiful thing to be able to eat delicious award-winning meals right by the ocean side. And make sure when you get a fresh cut coconut, fill it with a shot of Malibu.
Come here ready to relax and unplug, leave your expectations behind, and let this little beach lodge engulf your senses.

This place exceeded our expectations, from food, room, view, etc. True, getting there is a little bumpy but once found all will be forgotten. It's off the main thoroughfare, so if it's peace, quiet and relaxation you want, no need to look further.

Brenu Beach is like a Bounty island. Beautiful beach and see. The service is perfect and Agnes, the owner is a wonderful host! The food is good and staying there is really great!
The road to the place is one-off the worst in Ghana, but this is not the responsibility of Brenu Beach; governments work, or better absence! The advantage is that it is not crowded!🤣

I located the hotel on the Internet but was not sure of the place because of the location. Yes it's further away from Cape Coast but the experience you go through makes one forget about the distance. The cleanliness is non comparable, the food was very juicy and tasty and the owner a very sweet woman. She ensured my family was very comfortable. I will definitely go back to Brenu beach resort, thanks to all the staff.

I made my booking but was Skeptical about the place because most times what you see as pictures on the internet is not what you get.
I arrived and my reservation was in place and I was more than impressed with what I had earlier seen on the internet.
The place is awesome, neat, good food, homely, clean environment, the rooms are decent; in summary I would say SPLENDID.
I had a long walk by the clean beach and the staff were all very welcoming and attentive to your needs. The Madam (Aunty Agnes) was available to make sure that I was comfortable and happy.
I had regrets leaving as I wanted more after two night vacation.
I will sure recommend this place for all type of vacations. It was a perfect choice I made.

This place is not easy to find. But once found it is a secluded delight. Set right on the beach the Lodge has a small number of rooms set back from the beach on the side of the hill (no views). There is a lookout from the top of the hill that provides good views.
The rooms are very basic but have AC and bar fridge. Our room was spotlessly clean and in pretty good condition. The grounds of the hotel are tidy and beach is swept daily. The beach is pleasant and water is refreshing, though the waves are powerful and break right on the beach.
There is free wifi in the bar/restaurant area. The menu is limited and the food good, even if delivered in stages — which is a shame. A basic breakfast is complementary, though you pay for extras like fresh juice.
The Lodge has a website, so check it out for more detail.

We went with a group of ten for 2 nights. We loved being right near the ocean and hearing the surf.
Let’s start with the road to get to the resort. It is long and rough and not well maintained. You will know that you have reached the resort when you get to the beach. We were greeted warmly by the manager and staff. He insisted that one person go with him and sign for the rooms while the staff took us to the rooms. We explained that we would all be paying separately but he only had one sign the book.
The rooms were clean and comfortable but old. They were probably very nice once. Each cottage had at least 2 beds and a bathroom. A small older tv with cable (I think), a small refrigerator and a dining table and chairs. Little things were broken or just didn’t work but you could tell that they were trying to make it nice.
The staff was so gracious and helpful. After we had checked in they brought a menu to each room, asking if we wanted to order dinner now so they could prepare it. We all ordered and, in about an hour, met at the covered tables on the beach for dinner. More than an hour later they brought the first meal. Over the next hour the rest were brought. The food was good (not great) but very slow. The first person was finished before the third person got their meal. The Ghanaian dishes were the best and the most responsible priced.
We relaxed on the beach and snoozed in the hammocks. The drive back to the road was a chore but we visited the castle and the canopy walk, both worth the effort (don’t miss either).
On the 3rd morning we all showed up at the beachfront bar with our credit cards to check out. THEY DON’T TAKE CREDIT CARDS! We all pooled what cash we had but one still had to go all the way to town and back to get cash from an ATM.

The WiFi was very limited - the area immediately around the bar allowed some access. This might explain lack of email response.
We arranged for a 4x4 car to take us from Accra to Brenu Beach. It cost $150 (US) and we paid the same for the return.
A local taxi driver, who used to work at the lodge, took us to Cape Coast and Elmina Castle waiting for us as we did guided tours. I think we paid $30.
A meal such as local fish with rice or chips (!) was about £12.
$75. and $100.00 at the time for a single and double.
