I recently returned from a two and a half week trip through Albania with brief stops in Macedonia and Kosovo (Dec 16-Jan 17). I stayed in 12 different hotels and Villa St. Sofija was absolutely one of the best in terms of customer service. Like most hotels on my trip it wasn’t very full given that it was winter time,...

Clean and simple. We had a room for 4 people. Very big. Good heating. We had a balcony with a great view of the city. Friendly staff, close to everything. But than, the city is tiny. If you are planing to visit, stay in this hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel exactly where we wanted to be. Staff works very hard to please guests!!!!! Hotel has one of the best restaurants in Ohrid, but there are literally dozens to chose from. Very close to the harbor. We took a cruise to St. Naum that gave us 2 hours 30 minutes of free time there. Hotel arranged a 4.5...

Our room, heavily discounted since our stay was out of season, consisted of a large bedroom and separate sitting room. Breakfast was not buffet style but cooked according to what one wanted and when one wanted to have it. Fruit was provided free of charge in the room and the night before leaving we were given a bottle of wine....

Stayed here for our first night, it's located in the old city and if you are driving in at night take care. We were attended to promptly by the receptionists who helped us park our car. The room was clean and had everything but tea making facilities. Bathroom was clean and had complimentary toiletries, when opening the window there was...

We stayed here a few days ago. Positives: good location, friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms with fruit platter. They do have a parking spot to the rear of the hotel. They only have 5 rooms. Negatives: there was no water on arrival (apparently the whole old city), breakfast at 4 euros pp was ok (the pancakes were cold & omelette...

As many have written, the staff here is great. The location is fantastic and the hotel itself is quiet at night. However, we were disappointed with the hotel. First, there is no lift. The rooms are on the second floor, so if you have any luggage, it is quite a schlepp. The room was hot. The AC did not work...

I stayed in June 2016 and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The decor and bathroom were not the newest but the charm of the place more than compensates for ageing bathroom fittings. My only major gripe was that the air conditioning doesn't work and I suspect from prior reviews hasn't worked for some time. I was really angry...

Lovely hotel, comfortable room, nice breakfast, great location, and would definitely recommend it, but be careful if you're thinking of driving your car and using the free parking. Driving in old town Ohrid is miserable - very narrow, one-way cobblestone streets where you have to dodge pedestrians - and so just be prepared. And the hotel's restaurant is nice too,...
