A good solid quality hotel with comfy beds, a decent shower, fluffy towels, etc. Our room had underfloor heating which was excellent. We had a budget room for 2 people and it was big enough for a couple of nights but if you plan to stay longer you may want to take a standard room instead. However, the room was great value for money. Breakfast (self service) is decent with plenty of options. The location in the old town is great - right in the heart of the cobblestone streets, with an ancient church directly outside the door. For the price, and with this location, it's excellent value.
Room was in good condition, and very silent in night. Breakfast has a low level, with disgusting coffe. Beautiful walking road outside building. Different doors from the road into rooms, reception and restaurant.
just the best view in ohrid. this apartment on the 3rd floor has a lovely living room with windows all the way round, two of which open and slide right back to fill the room with just a gorgeous lake breeze. you can watch the sunrise over the hills from your kingsize bed, and the kitchen is just so well equipped, though ohrid is so cheap to eat out im not surprised the oven and the dishwasher have never been used! especially as breakfast in the winery next door is included and has everthing you could want....really good coffee, fresh bread and rolls, cheeses, meats, eggs, fruit, sweets. yum. the hotel is right in the pedestrian area of the old town, about 15 mins walk along the lake boardwalk to the famous church, and surrounded by bars, cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. ohrid is just lovely, the lake is full of swans, moor hens and cormorants, and it is a real pleasure just to sit and watch them. this is not a sophisticated place, rather it is sweetly old-fashioned and has a real charm. lovely views, people, wine and food. what more could you want. i would be happy to live in this penthouse!…
Ideal location in the old town of Ohrid. Most of the main sights are in a short walking distance. Rooms are next door to winery - we had a complimentary glass of wine on the night we arrived. We stayed for a few more local wines which were great. They offered wine tasting as well
This lovely hotel is situated on one of the most picturesque streets in the Old Town and exudes gentle charm. We stayed in one of its larger rooms, from whose balcony we enjoyed the views of Ohrid by day and night. The room itself was nicely appointed, including a minibar, although the safe wasn't working. There was plenty of storage space and room to relax, but the old-time setting did mean a shortage of power points for recharging. The beds were spongy and comfortable, with good pillows, and we slept well. We were surprised at how quiet it was, but then we were staying midweek - weekends may be more boisterous. The ensuite was functional to a point, with a toilet slightly too close to the wall (and lumbered with a sewerage system that means you have to dispose of toilet paper separately, which is off-putting if you're not used to it; although that isn't the hotel's fault, of course) and a shower with only half a glass separating wall, meaning water ends up on the floor. The actual floor of the shower itself is also rather slippery, even before you start with the soap or shampoo. Breakfast was served in the attached restaurant. Since the hotel caters to a small number of guests, the choice isn't huge, but on the whole the quality is fine. Alongside the usual eggs and sausages, hams and cheeses and salad items there are also freshly baked rolls and sweet options including stickily tempting baklava. A decent range of teas and coffees is available, although I can only attest to the quality of the tea as I'm not a coffee drinker. All the restaurants, bars, shops and sights of the Old Town are within an easy stroll, although you do need a firmer footing on its cobbles and inclines.…
