Not for daily visits

I don’t recommend this resort for daily visits just because of your double standards…one treatment for the guest during the day, another for the guest that are staying in the resort. This treatment in one expensive resort is not acceptable for us. We went to lunch but we changed our mind. Your young personal is so rude and impolite.

A mix of pros and cons

First of all this is not a 5 star resort! While the staff was pleasant and the waitresses and help staff were really nice and helped a lot the overall feeling of the place is that is a little outdated. There is no room temperature regulation so if you are visiting with a small baby (under 6 months)i would not recommend it cause the first night we froze while the next morning when we woke up the radiator was at full power. We strictly told them we are with a small baby and they gave us a room that was located beyond 2 flights of stairs so it was a real problem with the stroller. They didn`t tell us the pool was being renovated so we woke up to the sound of a construction site at 8 am (mind you, we have 4month old). Its great to visit because of the food the staff (they were really great) and scenery but it really needs renovations and an upgrade to the rooms. p.s The deer reserve were really cool, you can feed them for a small fee of 2 euros…

While I would guess this is the nicest place on the east side of Macedonia, it is not a 5 Star facility. The property is beautiful in a nice setting but needs a bit of work. We had problems with hot water in our Villa. They told us it was the city electric company but strangely there was a brand new commercial water heater sitting outside of the Villa waiting for someone to install it the entire time we were there. If you buy the rate that includes dinner, they give you a different menu that has few choices. The food was NOT good from that menu but the food on the regular menu was very good with lots of choices. The walk around the lake was nice except for trash everywhere. Much of the trash was within 20 feet of a trash can. Clean up the lake for goodness sake! The person in charge of the spa and gym was not pleasant and the gym was dirty. The pool, which was advertised as heated was not heated enough for a comfortable swim except on a ver hot day. Understand what is “included” and what is not. You may find charges on your bill at the end of the stay for you’d morning coffee. When we checked out there was a “tourist tax” added to the rate. That was not true in Skopje or Ohrid so I never found out the truth of that. This could be a very nice place to stay, just do your research ahead of time!…

Berovo gem!

We loved the Hotel Aurora the location can't be beat! We had a spacious room for 3 with beautiful views and wonderful service and hospitality from the staff. Our room had all of the conveniences we could hope for and we loved the breakfast every day! We will definitely plan a return stay on our next visit!

An amazing gem in the middle of nowhere

We arrived at the hotel late morning and we were taken to the restaurant and offered free beverages until our room got ready. What an unexpected start although check in was 2PM Location of the hotel is amazing, with magnificent views and surroundings. Morning Fresh air smelling of pine is like all the medication combined. 2. Clever use of local resources (Wood and stone). 3. All the paintings displayed across restaurant walls and hotel rooms were world class (unfortunately not for sale) 4. Staff are very polite and helpful.

Amazing place, lovely personnel, beautiful nature.

Amazing place, lovely personnel, beautiful nature. Aurora Resort and Spa Berovo is a great place for a relaxing holiday. The nature around the resort is beautiful. Great for walks and hikes. There is a lovely mini zoo at the premises, where you can feed the deer and the rabbits. The food at the restaurant is local and some of it is homemade, which adds to it being authentic and delicious. All people who work there from the front desk to the restaurant staff were really nice, helpful and welcoming. The room was also great, spacious with a huge bed and a small living room. It was very cold outside, around -16, but we couldn't tell as the heating inside the premises was great. I'd love to go back again, and will surely do very soon.

Breath-taking views, comfy stay and delicious home made food and local specialties

We had a lovely room with a breath-taking view which was perfect for our chilled 3-days stay. The room was heated 24/7 and we didn't feel the cold, despite outside being -15 C. The staff was very welcoming, nice and helpful and they even told us how many of the local dishes were made and suggested some traditional foods to try out. Most of the food prepared is local and home grown, or hand made and that adds to it's authenticity and taste. The whole resort site is beautiful to walk through and the area around the resort is lovely for walks too.

Less than avarage

First time in the resort and it did not really live up with my expectation, considering the 5* rating and the highest price for BB in the region. Rooms: 2/5 In the rooms you may find broken wardrobe, rusty bathroom elements or damaged floring, but you will not find bathrobe, sleepers, quality shampoo or infobook. The rooms were not properly heated, in the night we had to sleep with sweaters on. This was not a 5* room whatsoever. Spa: 1/5 The spa is extremly small and you can use it only 1 hour per day. The sauna, steam bath and the hottub were not available by the excuse of covid protection (nonsense), the obvious reason was reducing electricity cost. Also the whole area in the spa was very cold. No bathrobe again, just a small towel. At least they did good job saving their money. Personel: 5/5 This is the bright spot of the resort. The personel is super friendly and kind, as well as well trained. Restaurant 4/5 The restaurant is good, the food was also good, but still, nothing spectacular for a 5* resort. Value: 2/5 No reson to add more comments here. …

Disappointing

I just want to inform you that I am extremely disappointed, despite the fact that I thought it was a serious Resort, which would not dare to do something like this. After a short telephone conversation we were confirmed that there are available rooms for the period we want to book with Grouper Coupons, for a short period the coupons were sent to you and again you were contacted by phone to confirm the reservation to which your answer was that you will confirm the reservation immediately . After 1 hour to be notified in email that there are no available rooms for that period, and during a telephone conversation the explanation was that there are available rooms in the hotel, but not for reservations with Grouper Coupons. This is extremely frivolous behavior, it is shameful to behave like this towards your desired guests. Make sure this will seriously affect your publicity.…

Best food and view

I stayed in Aurora resort for 2 nights, the resort is big and has different paths with wonderful landscapes. The food is very delicious, their chef was coming out after lunch and ask us if everything was good, which left a special impression on me, as I was already thinking after the first meal that I should go inside the kitchen and say my gratitude to him, for his great skills, especially because I was on diet given by mine nutritionist and worrying what I will eat. The mix of ingredients that the chef has in his dishes was exactly as recommended by my nutritionist and that makes me happy. The rooms are very big and comfortable, it feels like you have your own house in the mountain, the matrix is comfortable and I slept very well. Winter clothes are needed for outside only, inside the hotel everywhere is warm or even hot in the rooms. The view from the infinity pool was amazing, I enjoyed relaxing there and catching a tan, watching the sunrise with the morning coffee or reading book.…
