Awesome hospitality here. The venue itself is so striking with an incredible array of artwork, both tradition azz l and modern. The rooms are incredible: very large we with comfortable extra large double beds and high ceilings. The bathroom itself is large enough to be a small suite, and I did figure out how to get hot water the second day. The TV works well with a wide range of channels. The only thing I noticed that could use improvement is the restaurant organization, as the staff are a bit slow doing their duties.
The hotel is amazing, it is like being in an art gallery. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, hot water and a/c working perfectly, the food was amazing and the staff was kind and helpful at all times, specially Marcos.
My wife and I stayed at this place and we would certainly recommend it to anyone who visits this tremendously beautiful town, the most typical heritage of the country. The hotel is practically a museum, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, all premises are impeccably clean, breakfast is really good, and most importantly: their Staff members are extremely professional, pleasant, friendly and helpful. We felt just at home in this place and will definitely, God willing, go back some day. Jonathan checked us in and welcomed us to our room where he explained all the details related to the hotel itself and the services offered during our stay. He has an outstanding personality, demonstrated to be very efficient, polite and congenial at all times. The young man at the bar was also very kind and accommodating with our request. Thanks a million for having provided to us such a great experience and excellent time in this Magnificent Town! Jorge y Ana San Juan…
This is by far the best hotel you can stay while in Suchitoto. We had a great stay and staff is very friendly. The hotel is pet friendly and very nicely decorated. All areas and hotel amenities are world class. This is an authentic boutique hotel in Suchitoto. Widely recommended.
I've been lucky on recent travels to find special places, ones that I would visit again without hesitation. Los Almendros was such a place. The owners have taken a historic compound and made it both romantic and comfortable. I stayed in the older part of the house in a beautiful high-ceilinged room and was happy to have made the decision to be there 3 nights. It helped that they make a wicked margarita and that the pool is so clean and refreshing. Suchitoto is unique...a quiet place but interesting and with a good feeling to it...and this boutique hotel is an important part of the experience. As an aside, I never felt unsafe in El Salvador and hope to return.
My husband and I took a week long vacation in El Salvador and stayed here for one night in Suchitoto. It's an historic building in a great location in town! We booked the panoramic apartment and it was so cool!! 2 stories with the bedroom upstairs with a balcony overlooking the pool area. Very serene! GREAT views of the lake and surrounding areas. The staff was so very nice! The bar area is beautiful! The breakfast was yummy! 100% recommend! And "Lorenzo" is the owners' dog. Precious!! Thanks Los Almendros de San Lorenzo!
One the best boutique hotel I ever been, more of a historic site than a private mansion. Run by French -Salvadoran partner, it has beautiful garden, rooms all around, restaurant, pool, paintings, pieces of arts. Price Is a consequence of all this, do not expect any particular treatment.
This boutique hotel is a true gem in Suchitoto. Unrivaled decoration and service. The hotel is very nice with various amenities. It has a big pool and restaurant. The food is delicious. Each room has its own magic. Widely recommended for a treasured stay while in Suchitoto.
The staff and owner are delightful and will do anything to make your stay a great experience. The restaurant and bar are very good. The views from the deck of the lake are lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean. This hotel is a great value.
I just picked the hotel based on the pictures and recommendations and it was a very good choice: the owner runs it as a boutique hotel with hundreds of small details and furniture from all over the world. All is maintained very well, we were in the Suite where also the Spanish queen was sleeping 2 years back, as the owner proudly told me. The suite is something very special, the room is more than 4 m high (12 ft), about 80 m2 in total and fully decorated with nice stuff (see the pictures). The terrace is beautiful early in the morning to watch a lot of colorful birds, the dinner we spent inside the restaurant to avoid mosquito bites. I recommend a 2 hours trip with a small boat to the bird island, incredible who many and how exotic birds you can observe! The hotel is a must if you should be in this area. City center is around the corner and all the town can be explored by walking around. If you want a really good coffee then go to Casa de Abuela (house of the grandmother) to get an espresso you will never forget.…
