Having had a less than good experience on our last trip to Egypt, the Cleopatra Luxury Resort has far exceeded my expectations. When we arrived we were shown to our room which did not have a sea view ( unless you craned your neck round the edge of the balcony) as expected and paid for. Ali on reception accepted our complaint with grace and upgraded us to a deluxe room with sea view which is spacious and exceptionally clean. For me cleanliness is a high priority and this hotel has very high standards of cleanliness. The staff are all very polite and helpful and greeting you if you pass them. The room is spacious and our lovely room cleaner just brought us a vase of flowers today and has left pretty towel displays. The gardens are beautiful although it seems strange seeing summer flowering plants in full bloom in January. No lugging soaking wet beach towels to a drop off point, the room cleaner changes them for you. The quality of the food is very high with a good range of choices.
I must mention Ebrahim on gate security who went over and above to ensure we got picked up for our trip, phoning the company for us.
Having been to other all inclusives in Egypt, the drinks are in real glass inside and reusable plastic cups round the pool. The entertainment staff do well but it is typical hotel style entertainment.
The main restaurant does feel like a restaurant rather than a noisy canteen at some big hotels. All in all this is a good quality hotel with great staff in a fab location and would highly recommend it.

The Hotel and grounds were absolutely beautiful. The groundsmen, cleaners and general staff really do an excellent job. The hotel as you drive in looks wonderful, it’s very well protected with security to make you feel safe and is in an excellent location just a short taxi ride from the Airport and other attractions such as Soho Square, Nama Bay and Old Market.

My wife and I went with another couple and were booked on neighbouring rooms 8012 & 8015. The rooms were great, very spacious, lovely views of pool and sea. We also had a lovely little seating area with a surrounding garden, great for spotting wildlife!

The pools were great, there’s a family pool which we didn’t use but looked nice. The main pool which was opposite our room, this one is great if you don’t mind talking and getting involved in games etc. The music can be quite loud but we didn’t mind it and the animation team were great. The pool bar is great, you can swim up to it but chances are you won’t have to as the staff are so attentive they usually have another drink for you on it’s way (although we did tip well but was thoroughly deserved) There’s another quiet pool down towards the sea, it looked lovely but again we didn’t use this one either as we were happy at the main pool.

The restaurants were I guess what you might expect. The food was ok at best, it’s pretty repetitive and wasn’t the most appealing or appetising. We went for breakfast once then didn’t bother for the rest of the holiday. The Italian restaurant was really disappointing and I hate saying this as the staff were great but the food was particularly bad. We didn’t use the seafood restaurant so can’t comment on that one but the beach cafe food was again below par.

The drinks were great. All cocktails, beers, spirits and soft drinks were included and were served between 10am - 5pm by the pool and then until 2am in the hotel pub and lobby bar.

We booked two excursions, the first one was the pirate ship to Ras Mohamed & White Island. It was £70 each but was a luxury boat (cheaper options were available) It was a great day, superb instructor lead snorkelling and visiting some picturesque locations. The food was great, all cooked fresh by a chef on the boat. The second excursion was a quad bike, camel ride and a Bedwin show / meal. This one wasn’t so good, it all felt very chaotic and a lot of messing around for a short time on quads / camels. The food was inedible and the show was over in 10 minutes.

The staff were incredible throughout the hotel. The service was fantastic and they really did make the holiday feel very special. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel and I’m sure you will have a lovely time just as we did.

Thanks Cleopatra for a lovely holiday.

We stayed at the adults only. We arrived and was quickly checked in. Concierge took us to our room on a golf buggy and carried our luggage to the first floor. We entered our room and it was well beyond expectation.
We arrived late evening and went to the restaurant for late night food that was excellent and welcomed by Mohamed in the Palmetto restaurant who took care of us throughout our 11 night stay.
We hit the English Bar and sampled several cocktails and had the pleasure of another Mohamed who also took care of us throughout our stay
We spent our days by the pools as we were here purely to relax and recharge and was taken exceptional care of another Mohamed who was the lifeguard and our batman, again another Mohamed was our bar boy who kept us refreshed with drinks all holiday.
What we liked most....all staff are really attentive and really go above and beyond to make sure you have a good holiday
Waleed and Mohamed at the buffet restaurant endured a first class service and the food was the best I have ever had on all inclusive and always hot. We tried the Asian restaurant but it was nothing to write home for ....first course is miso soup for miso soup.... absolutely rank then you get a salad that consists of iceberg lettuce and a dressing. Three choices for main that surprisingly was very nice and there choices of dessert that weren't too bad. In truth the buffet restaurant was far better
Our room was cleaned daily although sometimes late in the day we found our cleaner cleaning our room and in truth although room was cleaned to a good standard, I did notice the dead mosquito still on the side of the bedside throughout our stay
Cocktails we good but not strong so didn't get drunk on them.
Entertainment....Natalie and Morgan worked relentless throughout the day and evenings. Evening entertainment could do with a bit of better shows as not the best but in all fairness daytime there was always something going on. Music can be very loud and lots of club music that became a bit annoying. Foam party on Sunday afternoon was epic. We thought we were coming to an adults only hotel for relax but sometimes felt we were on a party holiday for all ages over 16. In truth, we did have a good time and although it felt like we were at a club 18-30 holiday perhaps a lot less quieter would have been boring.
Would I return?.... absolutely. The staff are outstanding in particular the above mentioned. What would I change?.... perhaps better alcohol as they aren't the best.
The bed is the best bed I have ever slept in, they have the thickest mattress imaginable.
One gripe.... Checkout and lack of courtesy room to refresh. You have to go to the spa at family side and then they couldn't confirm if they had a hairdryer.

For me, this hotel did not disappoint and I am already looking forward to giving it another visit in the not too distant future.

Not the first time in Egypt. Were
2 years ago after the pandemic and were shocked by the level of service, food, etc. It was obvious that they tried very hard. So we decided to try again this year. I chose the hotel very carefully and for a long time and, of course, there was hope that everything would be at a good level. But... On the positive side: a beautiful, well-groomed area, no steep ascents or descents, a good room (for which we had to pay extra), and that’s all. The food is simply no good: a small selection of salads, all with potatoes, a lot of everything, but nothing to take. Yes, there is meat, chicken, cheap pangasius fish, which was passed off as sea bass, but everything is dry or overcooked, grilled chicken is generally charred 🤢. Even the chef's meat wasn't the most delicious. Shrimp 1 time per week and then 3 pieces each. Fruits: apples, tangerines, a few days there was guava, dates and melon, also not every day. As they say, you won’t leave hungry, but this is not a 5* level. Next is cleaning. I had to ask several times to change linens, slippers and bathrobes upon request🙄. You had to carry beach towels with you; you can only change them the next day, when you have to go to the beach, and only when the room is being cleaned or when you run to look for a cleaner. The wind was strong and I wanted to cover myself with a dry towel, but there was nowhere to take it. Panton was closed all week due to the wind; swimming from the shore is only possible from the neighboring beach when the tide is high, and it is very shallow. If you have a room on the ground floor, be prepared to hear everything from above. Locals lived above us, smoking hookah from 1 am to 5 am, knocking and constantly moving metal chairs. I complained, but everything repeated itself. The water in the pools was cold in a strong wind and did not have time to warm up. Evening programs are uninteresting and often aimed at local audiences. The animators were only at the pool. We were lying by the sea, but the animators didn’t get there. And lastly, if you don’t tip, then you are no longer particularly welcome, this can be felt everywhere. I don't know who writes such laudatory reviews. Apparently people don't know what good quality rest is. The hotel is clearly overrated.

We stayed in the adults only hotel. Beautiful hotel very tastefully decorated. Rooms are huge and clean and well cared for. Beds were comfortable with luxury linens. The light mirror in the bathroom did not work but was fixed the same day it was mentioned to the cleaner. We stayed all inclusive however there were things that were not all inclusive which was slightly irritating at times. No alcohol in the mini bar only soft drinks which was only replenished twice per week. We drink the local spirits and the beer was good. Food in the restaurant was fairly basic and did become a little tedious after a few days with limited choices and average quality meat offerings. The pool snack bar had a limited menu but was adequate for a light snack. Pools were clean and staff were attentive and friendly with nothing too much trouble. Gym was superb all new high spec equipment and never busy.
We used the hotel taxi service several times and only had one issue when returning at 2am having to wait for over half an hour for our taxi to collect us but the staff apologised and gave us a reduced fare to soho square.
Overall a great experience. The only gripe would be that as we were flying home late in the evening we requested to keep our room for an extra 3 hours but was told this would incur an additional charge of $80 which we felt was disproportionate as the hotel was only 30% occupied.

Second visit to the Cleopatra luxury resort, and sadly it wasn’t as good.
The best thing about the hotel is the amazingly beautiful gardens, the gardeners work so hard and it obviously shows in the hotel grounds.
When we arrived at 9.30 pm after a long day of travel , received no welcome drink and told restaurant now closed .
Taken to room which was overlooking the top pool area , although I had paid £210 extra to easyJet for a sea view room 😳 took it up with reception and they offered us a smaller basic room overlooking a scruffy back area.
Food in the main market restaurant has sadly gone downhill with not much choice and always lukewarm even when we went as soon as opened.
Beach restaurant has absolutely beautiful view but again food was just ok.
One day we waited 1 hour at the beach bar to be served for food which is unacceptable, I felt the waiters couldn’t be bothered sometimes.
Beach and jetty nice with a very deep reef with some lovely fish to see.
Drinks are ok but nothing special or tasty.
I found the best staff to be at the top pool area, always happy to help and ensured you always had a drink.
I found the loud raving banging music round the pool area to be not relaxing and thought a wider range of music to suit everyone would be appreciated.
Age range was 50 so loud rave music is not what people want , but as the animation staff are early 20s this is what they play.
Room cleaning staff was ok , no towel art in 10 days , left us with no loo roll on 3 days and forgot to restock milk sachets so no brew in rooms on some days.
For 5 star hotel there was no evening entertainment really , maybe bit of belly dancing and a few children’s songs. Everyone had gone to bed by 9pm.
Also the Cleopatra adults only hotel across the road have full use of this hotel and having spoken to lots of guests they all said they received much better service than the people paying to stay.
Sadly I won’t return .
For supposedly a 5 star resort the food and drinks are more like 3 star.
Reception staff all appear sulky and bored.🥱
Gardeners are amazing and always received a warm smile and hello, so well done to the gardener for which I gave the extra star to , otherwise I would rate 3 star.

This hotel is incredible, all of the staff are so welcoming and friendly and can't do enough to assist you. They come around to see I'd you need drinks just sat around the pool instead of going up to the bars yourself, the place is gorgeous and lots of different places to go- there is a pub called the English Pub where the atmosphere is good and there's a pool table and ping pong outside. There's another bar above the all inclusive restaurant and an Asian restaurant with a free meal option and an option you can pay extra for if you want to try the experience. The all inclusive foods and drinks are very good coming from an extremely picky person. Breakfast insists of eggs, mashed potato, onlettes, doughnuts made from scratch, pancakes, pastries, fruits, salad. Lunches are overall better than dinner but both consist of- chicken, beef, fries, salads, pastas, vegetable pies, deserts such as cakes, cake slices, fruit. Lots included in the mini bar on arrival too and the hotel rooms are cleaned impeccably with staff asking if everything is okay after being cleaned but it always is. Additionally, it was my partners birthday whilst being over here so they gave us a free cake as a surprise to him (organised without him knowing and they asked when we would be out of the room for them to either put it in the room for us to return to or bring it to the restaurant when we would be in there). Overall a fantastic stay and the weather for this time of year has been lovely, chillier on a night but perfect sunbathing weather through the day. Cheap taxis. Lovely staff. Gorgeous hotel and facilities.

We visited the Cleopatra resort for our honeymoon this week and we had an amazing time. We stayed in a deluxe garden view room in Block 7, which was perfect. It was quiet and cool, and really spacious. We got fresh beach towels every morning, which was a nice perk!

The whole place was so clean all of the time and the staff were very attentive to anything we needed. The food in the main restaurant was great quality too and varied, so you aren't eating the exact same thing every day. There are plenty of options at all meals, with things like bbq and live pasta stations. We also ate in both the Italian and seafood premium restaurants and enjoyed both, but the seafood one was definitely the best.

It was a bit too windy to snorkel at the beach so we didn't get a chance to do that, which was a shame. But we did do a boat trip to Ras Mohamed, so that was great! We hung out around the main heated pool mostly, and enjoyed the swim up bar and entertainment there. The animation team were great, really fun and friendly, and always getting people involved. Pilli Pilli pub is nice and we enjoyed a few evenings there watching various dance shows, doing karaoke and other fun stuff. The alcoholic drink options are simple/local and quite strong, with a great cocktail and mocktail menu.

Make sure to take extra tips for the staff (even if you're all inclusive) as they definitely deserve it. You can also ask for a Do Not Disturb flag at the pool from the lifeguards, if you don't want to be approached by people from the spa/excursions team.

Overall we had an amazing time, and we'd definitely like to come back in the future.

I would definitely come back if the food was better.

I really don't want to repeat what all the other reviews have said but it's very true the people that work here are just so nice and helpful and i would give this hotel a 5* rating if it wasn't for the poor quality of food in the main dining room its 3* food at best.

The people that work at reception i found where first class and so helpful especially Reda the desk manager, thank you Reda for clearing up a problem for me, Cleopatra you a very lucky to have him working for you he is very professional and knows his job.

I had a beautiful ground floor room overlooking the infinity pool it was superb, bathrobes, slippers, very nice and toiletries that were replaced everyday also tea and coffee that was replaced everyday plus a bag with beachtowels that you can change everyday. A flat screen tv that had a couple of English channels BBC news ect.

One thing I would say is be very careful when booking a taxi in the hotel because the taxis are nothing to do with the hotel and can charge you an exstreamly lot of money £20 for a 5 minute journey in England the same journey would cost you £5 a total rip off, I do think the hotel needs to address this because this is not good for the hotel.

Would I go back? I would love to go back BUT not until the food improves the Cleopatra hotel group need to up their game where this is concerned the food is very poor.

Went with my brother and despite emailing Love Holidays and the hotel directly we still had to wait for a while to get a twin room as they had seen the name being the same and thought we were a couple. The first room we got given was supposedly a sea view and if i had binoculars it probably was. took a day to get sorted after our rep Eham stepped in made the hotel sort out at a quicker pace. The second room was "wow" much closer to the sea and was fairly recently renovated in the much lighter wood rather than the main complex rooms dark interiors. If we had started the trip in this room i would have given a five rating.

the bed towel system is much better than the old towel card system with staff changing towels throughought the day if they saw you laying on a wet twoel. The beach staff were fantastic and we found ourselves having light lunches in the beach restaurant most days. Staff again friendly and attentive with a good knowledge of your previous orders.

Staff in general are fantastic, friendly and approachable. The entrepeneurs are not too pushy but you do have to haggle for the best prices. We used the spa options and had a boat trip which required a little too much haggling to get to a price we were all happy with but a simple no thanks sent them on their way.

Beach is good, clean and ..... rocky. you will need beach shoes to paddle out and going off from the pier requires brave pills in January due to the swell of the waves. Most days were red flagged so we could snorkel off the 25m shelf but plenty of marine fish in the shallows.... find the beachy areas to walk into the sea just at the nubian hotel beach

animation team and shows ........... maybe its better in the summer but to be honest i wasnt there to be entertained but all staff were friendly and engaging.

Food...... yes it can be repitive as others have said but thats the same as other all inclusive hotels. the food choices are really large if your more adventurous with not having chips every night. You will not go hungry.

Cleanliness is pretty good. detailed cleaning may be required in bathrooms but i always take a bathroom cleaner with me just for peace of mind.

Definitely going back to this hotel and now have contact details to prebook/choose a room once ive booked with love holiday holidays again.

Second time with Love Holidays and its been a massive money saver for me.
