It was meet of new year. Everything was fine but did not new year party. Dinner separately, meeting separately.At 01:00 it was all over. Low water pressure, it is impossible to wash thick and long hair. The staff is friendly:)

We enjoyed our holiday at Barcelo Sharm. We liked the hotel very much and definitely will be back. The restaurant was organised very well, especially under the conditions of COVID. Food was fantastic, everyday different choice, during the 10 days it was alway fresh, different, everyday seafood options...the service in restaurant was excellent, especially Ahmed Amin who made our trip memorable with nice and amazing surprises ....we really appreciate the professional approach of Mr. Alaa Sedek....Kadry Ahmed was too much caring and excellent treatment person. We liked the room, it is designed for families, every room has balcony. The beach was nice with sand. Fantastic experience with amazing and beautiful fishes just on the shore. The animation program was also interesting with local dance and music. We loved the hotel🐠🐠

The temperature was 20-25C. It was mostly sunny with some cloud and one thunderstorm. On arrival in Sharm airport we were greeted just outside of the exit and transferred to the hotel by a Barcelo driver. Bareco is quite a distance (25min+ drive) from the main hub of shops and restaurants in Sharm but it's not an issue - there really is no need to leave the hotel. The hotel is a little tired but still very nice and is being well maintained. The lush gardens are beautiful and attract local birds. The hotel and its shops accept GBP, EUR and USD as well as Egyptian pounds. We stayed in a swim-up room in the west of the hotel. It was a big room with a really comfortable bed and large sofa. The bathroom design was lovely but the shower was a bit grubby and the toilet leaked. It was a really great position, close to all hotel amenities. Unfortunately the swim-up pool was shaded for most of the day and was too cold to use. When the thunderstorm hit, the patio flooded. Water came in from the patio doors and ceiling and power was lost for a short time twice. We used the bins to catch water and towels to mop up. Housekeeping cleaned the room the next day replacing all towels. Housekeeping would leave really cute and resourceful towel displays on the bed which we really enjoyed. The hotel's position next to a bay means it's quite windy at the private beach. Robust windbreakers were provided with each sunbed though making sunbathing very pleasant. The sand was quite harsh underfoot, not silky at all. The sea was absolutely wonderful though! Warm enough to swim for hours and was full of life - take a snorkel! The food was great. The buffet restaurant always had a great range of foods. Highlights were the freshly baked croissants and feteer. Often the hot meals were barely warm though. They would be tastier served hotter. The a la carte restaurant was nice but nothing we hadn't already had in the buffet restaurant. The beach restaurant was good for snacks like fries between meals. The drinks were lovely from every bar. Delicious beer and a long cocktail menu. The upstairs bar had a TV showing English football. The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone was multilingual, extremely professional, friendly and eager to help. It didn't seem like tips were expected but we did tip those that regularly served us. Although we didn't partake in the animation activities, the animators were engaging and impressive. A special New Year entertainment program was in place with singers, dancers and a dj on an outdoor stage. The dj was fantastic - we'd have enjoyed this outdoor music every night! We had a great stay at Barcelo. We hope to return one day :)

I will definitely consider going back to Barcelo Tiran Sharm. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t make us feel more at home. There was an excellent range of food and it was always cooked well and tasted delicious.

currently on my last day of a two week stay at this hotel and I thought it was worth the time and the effort to write a review. I have chosen the hotel because I used Barcelo hotels in other holidays and I was impressed with their service; it has proven to be a good choice. The quality of service in this hotel is very good ; from the reception staff who are effective and supportive ( including with printing the counteless papers you need to travel in times of Covid ), to the outstanding animation team in this hotel ( who are by far the best and most engaging animation team I've seen in the past five years of travel ) . The location of the hotel gives it a spectacular view  - the fact that it's the last hotel in the lineup of beach side hotels in Sharm means less traffic but also ... the view. i can`t put it in words how beautiful the view is. The room - I had a single superior room , and just wow on the space and again - the view . The bed was so comfortable and the room was cleaned superbly every day by Ahmed ( and the fun towel characters he made ,did make me laugh).. The hotel does have signs of wear and tear but from what I noticed the hotel is working on improving on those ; plus to be honest I didn`t come here to be an architectural or interior design critic, I wanted to rest and relax and I got exactly that. Some worth mentioning points :  - at the time I write this review the hotel still does not have a working ATM. They  did bring an ATM to be installed but this has not happened yet and they're waiting for the bank to do so ( which I suspect might be after New Year's ).  - it's windy. Lots of open space means windy so dress accordingly.  - unlike other hotels I have never been asked to tip anyone for anything here . I tipped when I was pleased with the service but massive bonus points not having to deal with the constant requests and expectations for tips  like in other places. - There  are sellers of various spa and beauty services on the beach. Again, unlike other places if you say no they don`t harass you. If you do not want to interact with them the reception of the hotel provides( upon request ) a red flag that you can tie to your sun umbrella or lounger that signals discreetly you don't want to be disturbed. - the animation team - 10 out of 10 for these people. Super positive and super engaging, multilingual, filled with incredible amounts of energy. I have watched them interacting with all kinds of people ( some who were quite rude ) and they've always found a nice way to engage everyone regardless of gender, nationality or age.  I consider them to be a massive + for this hotel. Even when the weather was pretty crap they always found ways to engage with everyone and have been very present and visible. Massive thanks to Aigirim and Castillio who made me laugh more than once and whose positive vibe and energy I admire . - the food . If you are European and you've never been to Egypt you might be shocked to learn the food here is different. that being said , there are plenty of options and I can't say I starved.  - transport - the hotel offers a limousine service - basically similar to a taxi service. I have used them frequently whilst here and I was pleased with the service. Price wise they are not very different from the taxis in Sharm but to me they seemed more reliable.  - the toilets close to the pool area , the lobby bar and the restaaurant  - more often than not lacked soap and toilet rolls , which was quite ... unpleasant. I liked the fact that on my birthday, without having told anything to anyone I found in my room chocolate cake with a happy birthday message, I thought that was very thoughtful.
