The hotel is very pretty, with a private courtyard, gardens, and really nice rooftop terrace with views of Chimborazo and Tungurahua. The rooms are bright and spacious and super clean. We loved being able to use the kitchen, with was fully stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed. Elena and Mauricio were wonderful - extremely warm, helpful, and caring....

The hotel is very well run by nice Ecuadorian people with ample experience in Europe, which gives the place a nice old world feel to it. Breakfast and beds are impeccable, and the reception as friendly as can be, with access to the kitchen etc. It is a bit away from the centre (taxis are needed, but blow two dollars),...

We stayed for two nights in Hotel Rincon Aleman, just outside of the city centre of Riobamba. The hotel feels like a home. You can cook in the kitchen or order pizza (the owner calls for you). The hotel owner can do your laundry (for only a few dollars), which is really nice when you just arrived from 4 days...

We stayed as a group of 22 people from Canada on a Dental Brigade, to serve communities around Riobamba. We occupied the whole hotel, and the service was outstanding. Our breakfasts were great and lunches were provided to us for the day! The rooms were clean, and comfortable, and it was relatively quiet, except for the barking dogs in the...

This Hostal is located on the North side of town, several blocks from the Pan American highway. The rooms are bright and cheery - very clean and comfortable with European style furniture and comforters. There are sitting areas to relax and weather permitting, tables in the garden. Be sure to go to the third floor terrace where there are amazing...

The hosts are friendly and helpful. The room we were in was spacious and very comfortable with a nice view of the garden and a view of the mountain as well. The roof terrace was also very pleasant with a good view. Being out of town meant that our stay felt quite low key and relaxed, a bit like Riobamba...

I recently stayed at this hotel for two non-consecutive nights whilst travelling with my sister. On the first occasion, we arrived early, prior to the specified check-in time. None the less, we were welcomed and shown to a room. Our standard twin was not ready, but we were invited to use the junior twin suite overnight (at no extra cost)....

Pick this place, nothing else. Rooms are comfortable, modern and cozy! I loved the afternoon tea in a teapot brought too my room. Sooo nice! Hint: it is not super easy to spot, know the location and phone number before you go. Hair dryer upon request. Kitchen available but they can arrange some food delivery where you choose from the...

This attractive, quiet and secure guesthouse is located outside the center of town. Taxis consistently cost us over $2 each way to the train station, which is at the beginning of the historic center. Our room was spacious and had sufficient furniture to set things out, as well as a table and chairs. The bed was quite firm. There was...
