Stayed 5 days at Casa Mojanda and enjoyed amazing meals spectacular views and friendly knowledgeable hospitality. Casa Mojanda is near the market town of Otavalo. I stayed in a room that was comfortable with views of the mountains, a fire place and private bathroom. Each cottage/building from the guest rooms to the library, TV room and the dining room are... We spent 5 nights at Casa Mojanda. The place is beautiful, rooms spacious and comfortable, food was superb, and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The location is great for hiking and day trips to Otavalo, Lake Mojanda, Cuicocha volcano, Intag Cloud forest and more. Highly recommend.

Just finished our First Annual Millennial Women's Retreat - what a home run, thanks to the staff, manager and owner. It made my job as facilitator much easier to know everyone on site wanted our retreat to be a complete success. The food, the hot tub, the pooches...it all made for a perfect place to bring our group. Thanks!

Can't say enough about this place. This is a family run lodge that makes you feel at home right when you walk in. Owners / Managers Diego and Ana Maria were welcoming, always available and able to help out with anything you need. Dinner in the evenings was a community experience where you could meet others or keep to yourself.... More

The place is, as you can see on the pictures and read in previous comments, very beautiful. Diego & Maria took care, that we enjoyed our stay, with fire in the rooms, tasty breakfast, a hot pool and waterfall hike. The cons are the following: The place is very difficult to find. Sign posts are needed starting at the main... More

Our experience was above expectations from the first contact with Anna Maria about reservations until check out with Diego. They are a brother and sister team that have a beautiful hotel above Otavalo. The rooms are very nice; ours had a fire place which was added benefit. We ate all our meals (breakfast and dinner) at the hotel and the... More

I cannot adequately describe and do justice to our private cottage with the most incredible views of the mountains, the fireplace that was lit for us every night after dinner, the kind and welcoming staff, the hot tub at night with just the stars over head. We stayed at Casa Mojanda for our first three days in Ecuador, and it... More

I am here with my family on our way back from the Galapagos. My travel agent recommended it and without thinking we booked it. We had no idea!!! This place is amazing. A series of small bungalows in the Andes. You feel at one with nature here. The owner and manager are wonderful. Full of helpful advice for exploring the... More

We have now stayed at Casa Mojanda twice and we enjoyed it both times. The breakfast and dinner served family style in the dining room is a great opportunity to chat to the other guests, the walk to the water fall is fun and worth the effort, and the fire in the room is a fine way to finish the... We stayed at Casa Mojanda for 6 nights and both Diego and Ana Marie were wonderful hosts. Not only was the food fabulous, but they were so helpful providing suggestions for places to visit and things to do. The cottage we stayed in, #6, had an excellent view and was very comfortable.

Casa Mojanda operates on the basis of a firm and ongoing commitment to the principles and practices of ecological tourism and contribution to the surrounding community. Casa Mojanda was designed to have a minimally intrusive impact on our local ecosystem and culture. When it comes to lodgings and resorts, we believe that small is beautiful. By keeping Casa Mojanda large in vision but small in scale, we are able to interact with our guests personally, and whenever there is interest, we will connect visitors with local schools, clinics and environmental projects.
