This is one of the coolest properties we have visited. It is rich with history; the grounds are incredible; it is very charming. We stayed in the off-season and were upgraded to the room which Simon Bolivar used to occupy (no extra charge). Only one other family staying during our visit. It isn't pristine & a 5-star Marriot, but you...

Visited here for a family reunion event. The hacienda itself is charming, but they keep the fires lit with gallons of kerosene so everything has a terrible smell and you are breathing in fumes all the time. The beds are very lumpy and soft, but lots of warm covers which is good since the nights get cool. Warm water in...

We stayed in the Hacienda Pinsaqui for one night because of our visit to Otavalo. The Hacienda is a historical place from the time of Simon Bolivar (he also stayed in the Hacienda). On the day you arrive they invite you to the cave where they explain you the historical events near Otavalo and the history of the Hacienda. In...

Amazing history and concept but borderline liveable. Questionable cleanliness, care, and partial state of disrepair. We stayed in the Simon Bolivar wing May 2012. The sink and the sheepskin rug were from the same century - the rug was quite disgusting it was so filthy. The restaurant ceiling looks like it's going to fall on your head. Common area decorations...

We had the privilege of staying 2 nights at this lovely, historic Hacienda as a part of an Adventures By Disney trip to Ecuador. Our host, Victor, gave us a wonderful walk through the physical compound as well as the history. The grounds and the buildings have been wonderfully restored/maintained through the years. Our suite was quite spacious with very...

An impressive old hacienda with great architecture and lush tropical gardens. Clean, comfortable with lots of character. The en-suite rooms are spacious and well appointed with plenty of power points, lights, large beds, power showers etc. Each room has its own fireplace or wood burner and in the evenings the turn down service includes a beautiful lit fire with a...

This is really an old, converted hacienda. Each room was different and unique. We only stayed here one night and that may have been enough but not because we didn't enjoy it - there didn't seem to be many activities available. The staff was very friendly and the food very very good too! Aside from loving the fact that each...

After a busy day at the Otavalo market, what a delight it was to make a stop at this simply gorgeous Hacienda. As you enter one feels he is in a time when romance and elegance was dominant in these kinds of establishments. Each room is more beautiful than the last, and when you arrive at the dining room, you...

Very friendly service and a very warm welcome including a fun welcome drinks party in the 'Cave'. Dont expect full on luxury but the rooms are full of character and we loved the open fire in our room. Very impressive grounds. Food was ok without being memorable. We found wifi tv room very useful. Overall service was really excellent with...

After a recent stay at Hacienda Zuleta (see other review), we were looking for a more reasonably priced option since we travelled with our two young kids. Hacienda Pinsaqui is a beautiful old Landhouse / Farm, quite well kept and with lots of charm. As a family, we ejoied the spacious room that came with a nice fire place (lit...
