Our stay in early May 2023 for three days was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped to arrange a reliable pick-up from the airport which was around midnight. The restaurant staff were nice, and the food was very good. The room, lobby and restaurant were all kept very clean. The included breakfast was excellent along with the service (different than the evening staff). There was a variety of items – coffee, yummy hot chocolate, fresh fruit, yogurts, breads, along with hot items and you could order a variety of egg dishes made to order. The location was quiet and made it easy to access the Malecon.

My wife and I did a mandatory 14 day quarantine at the hotel. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. They often went above and beyond, even going to the store to buy anti-dandruff shampoo for us when we needed it. Rooms were clean, everything worked well, internet was fast, hot water, good air conditioning. Room service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you!

The hotel is a few blocks from the Malecón and the Cathedral. It's a convenient location if you are staying for just a few days and want to hit highlights. It is a little past its prime but it is clean, well maintained, and has a competent staff. The restaurant was surprisingly good; have the ceviche Jipijapa (which had an almost Thai flavor). It was also open very late, which is great if you arrive at 9 or 10pm and don't want to wander the streets looking for a place to eat. That said, the prices were really high for Ecuador, but moderate by NYC standards. Complementary water in the bathrooms to brush your teeth and chocolates on the night table. Good curtains, which is nice because the sun comes up with a vengence at the equator.
