Excellent treatment from reception to restaurant service. The rooms were very comfortable, they gave us facilities to accommodate us, I traveled with my wife and three children; the included buffet breakfast was very varied; The restaurant's dishes are very delicious. More than recommended hotel and at a cost below everything it offers.

Our stay in early May 2023 for three days was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped to arrange a reliable pick-up from the airport which was around midnight. The restaurant staff were nice, and the food was very good. The room, lobby and restaurant were all kept very clean. The included breakfast was excellent along with the service (different than the evening staff). There was a variety of items – coffee, yummy hot chocolate, fresh fruit, yogurts, breads, along with hot items and you could order a variety of egg dishes made to order. The location was quiet and made it easy to access the Malecon.

All very well. Excellent hotel. First-class service, spacious facilities with everything you need. Very qualified and attentive staff. Always ready to assist you in everything. The location of the hotel is very good in the city center, with shops nearby and an excellent taxi service from the hotel itself.

On Hotels.com picture 2 has a beach. This is not a beach hotel. It isn’t on a beach or near a beach. Picture 9 is the first picture of the exterior with a large, stately palacial building - which is not the hotel. Picture 10 is the second exterior picture- but it’s not the exterior of the hotel, unless they mean the exterior of the hotel is several blocks away.
This is a clean, attractive, cheap, comfortable enough hotel near some fun places on a ramshackled street, looking out on to ugly buildings and feels a little sketchy at night. It’s not an old, grand palace on a beautiful beach.
It would be a reasonable place to stay. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good. The price is unbeatable. However, it’s easy to find a much nicer hotel for only al little bit more.
It’s shameful that they put those pictures in their photos, leading viewers to believe the place was something other than what it is. It’s even more shameful that reviewers give 4 and 5 star reviews like it’s a fabulous resort destination!

We appreciate your comments, they have allowed us to correct the description of two nearby tourist sites as what they are, by mistake they were exposed as outdoor areas. We apologize for the discomfort caused. We hope that this correction will allow us to understand that the areas mentioned are actually for entertainment in the surroundings of the hotel.

Upon arrival, the rooms assigned to us had a musty smell. When we asked to change them, they gladly helped us. The food service starts at 7 but since there are people who go for business reasons, they should be able to serve breakfast earlier.

Very good hotel with connecting transport to the airport at a very reasonable price. The room is clean and large enough. We are very comfortable there and the night is quiet. Soundproofing exterior windows is effective. Very central location and close to many shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant seemed a little expensive so we didn't have dinner there. The lunches are very good and complete. The employees friendly and very professional. We are received with a welcome cocktail and free coffee is available at all times. I recommend.

Everything about the hotel and staff was great. We were a group of 16 on the way to Galapagos. I made arrangements with the hotel months in advance and they were all perfect. From several pickups at the airport to all 8 rooms being exactly as promised, it was all great. The hotel is spotless, the breakfasts good with lots of hot options besides the buffet, the rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The showers are hot and strong. The staff, especially Cynthia, are incredibly helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations and also with arranging taxis for the group. The location is great, near the malecon, the iguana park and lots of restaurants. We highly recommend the Hotel Palace.

My wife and I did a mandatory 14 day quarantine at the hotel. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. They often went above and beyond, even going to the store to buy anti-dandruff shampoo for us when we needed it. Rooms were clean, everything worked well, internet was fast, hot water, good air conditioning. Room service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you!

The hotel is a few blocks from the Malecón and the Cathedral. It's a convenient location if you are staying for just a few days and want to hit highlights. It is a little past its prime but it is clean, well maintained, and has a competent staff.
The restaurant was surprisingly good; have the ceviche Jipijapa (which had an almost Thai flavor). It was also open very late, which is great if you arrive at 9 or 10pm and don't want to wander the streets looking for a place to eat. That said, the prices were really high for Ecuador, but moderate by NYC standards.
Complementary water in the bathrooms to brush your teeth and chocolates on the night table. Good curtains, which is nice because the sun comes up with a vengence at the equator.

Most of the main tourist sites and good restaurants are nearby.. Just a short walk away. The staff is superb plus the breakfast was nice. My room was large with a comfortable bed. No problem with room or water temperature, and the wifi was dependable. I had no issues with my stay.

We just hailed a cab outside the hotel. They are around at all hours. Short ride to the airport, very inexpensive. You might want to have someone from the hotel hail the cab for you. Some drivers are "rogues" looking for naive tourists they can overcharge. You don't have to be paranoid, just on guard. Make sure they start the meter or negotiate the price in advance.
As others have said, throughout Ecuador the currency is US dollars. I didn’t try to exchange money at the hotel. ATM’s are readily available in Guayaquil. Good luck.
There are more places to choose from in the Guayaquil area.
