We booked a last minute stay at Casa de Romero after we discovered that there were no buses traveling into Peru until the following day. We were not disappointed. On arrival we got a full run down of the hostel and some restaurant recommendations. Te staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We also put our washing in that afternoon and... More

The room was big, and had a good balcony. It is really well located, near to everything worth seeing in Guayaquil (Plaza Centenario, Plaza de las Iguanas, Malecón Simón Bolivar, Malecón 2000, Isla Santay, and Barrio Las Peñas. Very nice breakfast.

The staff is helpful and has English speaking assistant who arranges help with taxis directions, etc. Room rental includes good breakfast. Rates are reasonable and I am returning to this B&B next month.

A friend stays here often and recommended it to us. Our room was on the 7th floor, clean, quiet and comfortable. $5 taxi ride to the airport, which they called for us before 6:00 in the morning. We left early so could not avail ourselves of their breakast, though we stashed our own food in the fridge. The two receptionists... More

The last time I stayed here was in March 2013 - whenever I've tried to rebook since the hotel has always been full (good for them, not for me!). I've stayed here twice and always found the staff friendly and willing to answer any questions about facilities or Guayaquil in general, and two of them spoke English (my Spanish is... More

We were 2 women each with our own room. My room had a private bath, aircon, cable TV, closet and an old fashioned dresser. My friend's room even had a balcony. There was a breezy living room with free wifi and good free breakfast. The location is just perfect, there is an elevator to the 7th floor and they called... More

We were late coming in due to airline delays. They were still accommodating and helped us get settled even at 1:00am. Thank you! Breakfast was wonderful as well! Thank you for the hospitality! We would choose again upon a return.

We booked in advance a transfer from the bus terminal to Casa de Romero. The driver arrived 45 minutes late, no apologize and gave us attitude. We were charged $10 for a $3 ride. The hostel is located in a residential building. In a extremely busy main avenue. Rooms are shabby. I found a bunch of long black hairs on... More

After we landed in Guayaquil, the taxi brought us for 5 dollars to the hostel. The hostel is situated in the center of the city, on the 7th Floor. (Elevator available) We arrived around 3 AM in the night, but that wasn't a problem as we warned them. Our luggage was still in Miami. The staff of the hostel helped... More

Centrally located in the DT area. Hostel situated in a high rise apartment building so the security is awesome and the view good. The sign is a little hard to notice next to the front door, could be bigger! We only stayed for one night in a private room with AC (very important for AC) room was clean, beds where... More
