My husband and I spent the night at the oral Verde hotel in Guayaquil and we could not be more pleased! From the moment we pulled up, we were welcomed by Eduardo, the concierge who took our luggage and helped us check in. Edoardo was extremely accommodating with a genuine desire to make our hotel stay a five star experience. We were so appreciative of his care. The hotel itself was perfection. The room was spotless! The staff, friendly, professional, and caring. The pool was in a beautiful courtyard and perfect for laps or relaxing. The men’s and women’s locker rooms each had a hot tub, a cold plunge, a sauna and a steam room. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with all kinds of hot dishes, cold dishes, fruits, and juices. They even boxed up sandwiches for us to go! Our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

I had a very nice and enjoyable time in this hotel. I was especially pleased with the staff, they were very friendly and helpful, 1 staff member's name is Byron, a very friendly young man who could speak Dutch well and could provide more information about the area and the various activities that could be done. He also took us to different places with transportation and is an excellent driver. Furthermore, the hotel is very hygienic and the food in the restaurant is very tasty and fresh. Highly recommended if you want to stay in Guayaquil!

This hotel is one of the Top-rated in Guayaquil City and very convenient because it is 8 minutes from Guayaquil Airport. Definitely recommended. The only thing they should change is the fees because they charge double fees. I made Reservation by Expedia and paid $18 dollars but at the hotel we were charged $16 “international rates”. I never understood why they recharge you another rate but the service is good, the food and rooms are very nice and clean. I'll be back.

We stayed in this hotel after departing from a Silversea cruise, staying 2 nights before flying home to the UK. The hotel is modern with a contemporary feel and ideally set up for cruise arrivals and departures. The staff are very friendly and helpful with some speaking good English. The restaurants are comfortable with a variety of international meals and drinks. The rooms are spacious with great walk-in showers and large beds, so no complaints at all. The hotel staff also forwarded an email to Francisco regarding a Guayaquil city tour on the 2nd day.
The tour was a fantastic addition to our Ecuador visit. Francisco has lived his life in the city and has extensive knowledge of the history, culture and traditions. He showed us much of the city always mindful of our safety and any limitations we may have had regarding the amount of walking and the heat. The city is very busy with a lot of traffic that slowed Francisco travelling between areas. However, the tour should have been about 3.5 hours but we were out for nearly 5hrs making sure we saw everything that was planned. I could not speak more highly of Francisco he provided the ultimate city tour and is very pleasant hard working and polite. All in all a very good stop over

The accommodation and stay was very comfortable.
They were always in every detail, from bringing us hot water, after hours, having change for our expenses, the diaro greeting, giving us tastes in meals, or surprising us with a typical dish from Ecuador, or some dish from our countries, hairdressing recommendation and places to visit.
The rooms always well cleaned, especially I want to highlight Lady Ortiz and Supervisor Violeta, their friendliness and attention at all times, always with the intention of making us feel good during our entire stay of almost 1 month in the hotel, with the deference of entering the room and leaving us a chocolate on the cover, small details that caress the heart.
The super comfortable room, the living rooms to work with all services, sound screen, desk, air conditioning, decoration, swimming pool, sauna, gym
Restaurant, Cafeteria, Confectionery....All in one place
Great location and quiet
I would definitely return... I recommend it.... Don't miss the experience.

Don't come to this hotel, you will pay 120 dollars for a room that should cost 80 dollars. The room reeks of cleaning fluids. There are too many employees looking at you. There are only 6 chairs in the pool and it is a very small pool. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel.

This was the first hotel we stayed at on our National Geographic/Lindblad expedition to the Galapagos Islands. The Oro Verde was luxurious and seemed like an oasis in the city of Guayaquil. The pool is small, but warm and Instagram-worthy. I enjoyed the workout room for stretching, treadmill, and showers. The cafe is affordable and has many delicious pastries. The gift shop is small, but I saw some items in there that I didn't see later in my travels. Our room was huge and the rain shower in a deep tub was magnificent...I'm not sure I've ever experienced such water pressure before! We ordered room service, so we didn't experience the restaurants, but I heard from fellow travellers that the Swiss fondue restaurant was very good.

This hotel has a great buffet breakfast (on a par with the various Sofitel's I've stayed at. The meetup with the hotel shuttle at 12:02 AM was flawless - FYI the driver met us just outside the door not in the arrivals hall and the driver was exceptionally welcoming.
We got upgraded to the "Premier" 8th floor on our way to the Galapagos and stayed on the 5th floor on our way back. Having stayed in both I would say the additional cost of the 8th floor is good value for money with a better room, better shower, and better toiletries.
The only negative is the neighborhood where there is nothing much to walk to in the way of shops or restaurants until you get within a few blocks of the Malecon (river park) which is a 20 minute walk at a leisurely pace.

Exceptional hospitality from entering the hotel, check-in, to housekeeping , and restaurant service, our experience had the feeling of cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The morning breakfast buffet was filled with fresh healthy options for all food lovers including the amazing coffee. And a kind reminder, please TIP your server, luggage carrier and room service a few dollars go along way to help and they go above and beyond to accommodate you.

my sister and I met in Guayaquil for a sister week: Of course flight was late coming in. Arrived way after midnight. the hotel greeted us with a smile and interest in our visit. We were escorted to our room, given complimentary drink coupons also. The room was amazing. The breakfast buffet should put American hotels to shame…hot chocolate cart, fruit bar with fresh papaya, cantaloupe, pineapple, yogurts, juices, cheeses, meats, two danish bars, one which included jellies and jams, then hot bar, which besides the scrambled eggs and potatoes, had several items I didn’t recognize. Also a chef to fix omelets, waffles. A wait staff that was constantly filling coffee
