This is the hotel I stay at every time I go on a business trip. I also left a very good review in the past. But now it is not the hotel it used to be. I used to stay at the hotel when I was Sonesta and always had great experiences. However, my recent stay in Wyndham left much to be desired. First, I was asked to enter a credit card to secure my Reservation while I was already on my way at 8pm, which seemed unnecessary and unserious, considering that I already had a confirmed Reservation. I had to ask my son to do it in order not to lose the Reservation as I was driving to my destination, something that never happened to me before.
When I finally got to the hotel, check-in was efficient, but the problems continued. Wanting to shower, there was no shampoo in the room. I called reception several times and even sent a WhatsApp message, but received no reply until 10:20 p.m., hours after my check-in. Unfortunately, they never sent me the shampoo. The next day, I expected to enjoy the pool, it was closed, but my experience was already marred by poor care.
Also, the breakfast buffet was very poor compared to what used to be. Before, there was an extensive variety of foods and it was quite a wide place where one could eat without problem. Now, the offer was very low, which is unacceptable considering you pay $127 a night. Value for money is definitely not fair. Upon check-out, the staff was rude I never greeted and was like lost, a lady arrived and she attended me.
It is a shame that a hotel in this category has these service failures. I hope they will improve in the future.

Whether you're on a business trip or relaxing in the tropical weather, this hotel has what you need to make the stresses of your trip melt away. This was our first trip staying in Guayaquil. We felt safe by having such a wonderful Front door service getting into a cab an exiting. In addition, the walkway over to the mall made it easy to access great food and shopping. The TRYP by Wyndham Guayaquil Airport is a great location an very economical.

We arrived about 1:30am and the girl at the reception desk couldn't have been nicer - it was so nice to be greeted at that hour of the morning with such a friendly smile and cheerful attitude! The room was extremely comfortable and quiet and we were able to sleep in without any noise or disruptions from other guests or housekeeping. The airport pick up was great as well, so nice to have someone waiting with our name on a sign rather than have to search hotel vans for the right one. The location right next to the mall is nice too if you have extra time in Guayaquil. Will definitely stay here again next time we fly into GYE!

The location is very near to the airport and the direct access to the shopping mall is available. The room was clean and the food at the breakfast buffet was nice.
