A truly outstanding hotel with such wonderful ambiance! Located steps from the riverfront in the lush historical park, the hotel is an oasis of tranquility and exudes grandeur and luxury in every detail. The staff was very welcoming and courteous throughout our stay. Our ground floor corner room faced the front of the hotel, but was very quiet and peaceful. The room was very large and elegant, impeccably clean, with an oversized marble bathroom and a comfortable bed with fine linens; the mini bar well stocked with delectable selections at reasonable prices. We loved the lemonade welcome drinks and delicious chocolates and the turn-down service with late night cookies. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Casa Julián was magnificent. We were part of a group of travelers that had an international 6 am flight the morning of our departure and to our amazement, the hotel arranged for a complete breakfast buffet served at Cafetería El Jardín at 2:15 am! That’s guest service at an exceptional level! Our highest recommendations for a stay at Hotel Del Parque !

The Hotel del Parque is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed. The building was a former hospice from the 1800's, which was dismantled and moved to its current location within a small tropical park. It's only 20 minutes from the airport (there's a complimentary shuttle) The rooms are impeccably furnished, and the beds are very comfortable, which is especially important after an 11 hour flight. The beautiful and tranquil park is surrounded by a wall, so that wandering around at night is safe. Most importantly, the staff was kind, helpful, and amazingly efficient. COVID protocols were strictly observed; the staff members are fully vaccinated and masks are required. We were on our way to the Galapagos, and the Hotel del Parque was the perfect introduction to Ecuador. It's pricey, but worth every penny.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Hotel del Parque. It was relaxing, luxurious and very special . We so enjoyed the location and the staff were so friendly, helpful and ensured everything was of highest standard. Delicious breakfast in courtyard was such a perfect start to the day and the range of options so fresh, tasty and included local scrumptious produce. Room service was so kind and helpful and having travelled from UK for a wedding laundry ensured clothes were pressed perfectly . Hotel del Parque is a very special place to stay and such a beautiful location in green oasis with relaxing ambiance ,delighted with their concern for the environment and attention to detail in all aspects.
Highly recommended and one of the best ever . We had such a positive experience and were so wrapped in luxury and attention. If you are heading to Guayaquil, this is the place to stay and you’ll not want to leave !
We will return to stay as it was so special .

To make a long story shortish when we checked in (after we were greeted by several Management staff as we were with an important group) we found a few large crickets in our room- most in/on the pillows! The second bed also had multiple bug droppings on it. I called the front desk and 2 staff arrived. What disturbs me is for a Relais & Chateaux hotel they clearly displayed their lack of caring about the situation bordering on amusement. I showed the bed with the stains and the housekeeper changed the pillowcases leaving the stained sheets until I asked her to change them also. As they left the room their disdain was palpable. Management was not heard from.
Your hotel has beautiful indoor gardens and I understand there are many insects in this environment. You should ensure that all room doors are sealed at the bottom. When we returned later that evening we watched crickets walking along doors seeking entry (and often succeeding). The rooms are beautifully appointed otherwise but no one wants to wake up with crickets on their pillow.

We stayed at the hotel prior to our tour to the Galapagos and were extremely impressed with all levels of service - from the door man to the wait staff! I cannot say enough good things. We arrived early (about 11:00 am) and were greeted with a delicious apple/cinnamon drink as Karen checked us in and let us know our room was ready. What a nice surprise after a long flight into Quito! Bell service was efficient as we were shown to our gorgeous room. It was spacious, spotless and the bathroom was large enough for a family of eight. The rainfall shower was wonderful after a long day! Beds and pillows were comfortable!
The ingredients and recipe for making a lemonade imperial greeted us when we entered the room. It was an amazing touch for weary travelers!
We had lunch and dinner at the hotel's El Jardin restaurant. Service for both meals was exceptional! The starter of hummus with plantain and sweet potato chips was a fantastic beginning to our meals. We enjoyed four different entrees and all dishes were freshly prepared, hot and hit the spot!
As we toured the grounds before lunch, we noticed the hotel building includes a church. We asked our waiter is there was an entrance to view it. A young girl was helping maintain the restaurant and he asked her to show us, She was also instructed to open the main doors into the park area and the view was just beautiful! Services are held on Sundays only. Magnificent small service touches made our stay memorable!
Karen, Jeremy and Esteban are only three of the people, whose names I remember (I wish I had gotten them all), but they and the rest of the staff are world class! Our stay on 29/01/22 was the start of a wonderful Ecuadorian vacation!

Hotel with beautiful décor and ground. Inside is tastefully decorated with a nice garden courtyard where you can have breakfast in the open. The room/washroom is really spacious, and they have various type of treats in the room. Don’t forget to take a stroll outside the hotel. It is attached to a very nice garden, a small zoo, playground area and food court. The only negative was the restaurant, Casa Julian. From the set menu, few of us ordered sea bass but all received pork instead, very strange mix-up. Other than that, staff and service was excellent.

My wife and I spent three nights in the Hotel Del Parque in Guayaquil in late September 2021. It’s a very nice hotel.

I did not get the history of the hotel, but it appears to be an old building that was converted into a hotel. The hotel is in a safe area, we walked around the area to a shopping center and never felt insecure.

The room we had was very large – and I think all the rooms are equally large. There’s a desk on one side of the room with an electrical outlet at desk level. Ecuador’s voltage is the same as the US – 120 volts, 60 hertz.

The bed was a king size and the linens were nice. There was a duvet on the bed and a nightstand on both sides of the bed. There’s an electrical outlet above each nightstand which is convenient for charging portable devices.

The air conditioning worked well and was easy to adjust. They have coffee in the room, but use a French press to make the coffee, which I find to be a mess to deal with. Purists may say that the French press is the best way to make coffee, but I’d prefer one of those cartridge machines because they’re so much easier to use.

The bathroom is very large but is not efficiently laid out. There’s an opaque glass enclosure for the toilet that is much larger than necessary, and the shower is likewise enclosed with opaque glass and very large – much larger than necessary. Even though the bathroom is very large, there’s only one sink in the bathroom.

The Internet access was easy to connect to and adequately fast, about 50 Mbps up and down.

We ate in the Casa Julián restaurant as well as the courtyard restaurant. Food and service in both were excellent. The staff, overall, was excellent. Travel during COVID requires that you prepare and present a variety of documents for airline check-in and the front desk was always willing to print those documents for me. Some can be shown on a smartphone but paper is a fail-safe.

Overall, an excellent hotel.

Do not stay here - it is way over-priced. The rooms do not have any privacy as everyone can see you coming in and out of your room with the layout of the hotel. You can hear them setting up breakfast at 6AM with no ability to sleep in and relax. If this was a $100 hotel sure that makes sense, but $500 a night for no privacy and zero noise control is absurd. The breakfast included is sub-par. Repeat, book another hotel, not worth it.

I don't think one could find a more helpful staff anywhere! All were so helpful and pleasant. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Be sure to explore the ecological zoo. If your luggage is lost by the airlines and you need a few things to tide you over, there is a shopping center that is walking distance. (Our friends' luggage showed up in time to leave for the Galapagos.) The food at the hotel is very good and, for such a hotel, reasonably priced. The provided breakfast had items for every food restriction. And if you can't find something at the breakfast bar, they will most likely make something for you. There is a lovely courtyard area to sit and relax.

The rooms are generously sized for the area and are nicely appointed. You could hold a small dance party in the shower. (Believe me, after the teeny tiny bathroom on the yacht in the Galapagos, I literally danced in the hotel shower.)

My only issue was the "scent" used in the lobby and rooms. It is a very strong (dare I say sickly), migraine inducing, flower scent. If you are sensitive to such smells, try not to be in the lobby for long and request that the "scent" not be used in your room. I did so on the return trip from the Galapagos, and it was much better.
