As I am not quite sure, where the word 'boutique' here comes from, the hostel definetly is a very good one. Location in Guayaguil can hardly be better with the river front and walking distance to Las Penas. Single rooms are roomy, all though pretty...More

Response from ricaro, Gerente at Manso Boutique GuesthouseResponded yesterday

Hi, DoubleX, thanks for your review. In Spanish we call ourselves "Boutique Hostal". In English "Boutique Guesthouse". A Hostel is a backpackers' lodging. Even though we have one shared room, most of our rooms are private, so the term "hostel" would be somewhat deceiving. In...More

Dear Dimitry, we are not a boutique hotel; we are a boutique guesthouse. A Boutique hotel would charge 3x what we do; we determined that Guayaquil has way too many luxury options, what the city needed was a budget boutique guesthouse. Our electric showers are...More

Dear Guest, Well, except for three showers that get the energy from solar panels, most of our showers use an ecological electric heating system that heats exclusively the water used, instead of the conventional systems that heat the whole tank of water -which is not...More

The Manso Boutique Guesthouse was a great place to stay. It is located opposite the Malecon and it is a short walk to the Iguana Park. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean.

No there are not shared kitchen or fridges. You could ask to THE manager if it is possible to use the main kitchen.

Reception for the guest house is on the first floor but that means a long flight of stairs up to it and I don't think there's a lift. My room was a flight above that.
