I recently stayed at Tapir Lodge with 2 friends and we had a fantastic time. Fabian Torres was our guide and we could not have asked for a better experience with him. He was friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. We were the only ones at the lodge and he was extremely accommodating with us... 3 mid-20's girls must have driven...

The lodge is set, like all other lodges we saw in the area, in a beautiful location. However, it is not well maintained and not clean. For two of the three nights there we were the only guests. We had two full days there and the scheduled program for half a day was cancelled because the boat had not shown...

Tapir Lodge, amazing place, amazing crew, so glad I chose this place. As you might know by now, there are a few lodges all nestled on the same river, but far away from one another so that you feel like your lodge is the only one in the jungle. I had heard from others that some of the lodges would...

Everything about the logistics and setting of this property is wonderful. It is truly a beautiful area but our experience was almost ruined by our luck of the draw. Our host and guide for the time we were there was the owner and CEO, Kurt. I say CEO because he exudes that kind of attitude and tries to micromanage every...

Our 4 days and 3 nights in Tapir Lodge were among the most exciting of our extended holiday in South America. It began with a fairly hair-raising drive from Lago Agrio airport to Putamayo, followed by a ride In a large motorized canoe the lodge. This was our main form of transport during the tour. On the way we saw...

Unfortunately we are in 2 minds regarding Tapir Lodge. The lodge it self is lovely and very well maintained. The food was well varied and the fresh fruit daily was delicious. If we wanted a tea or coffee it was always beautifully served. The price of the drinks was also very good. The staff were all very nice. The wildlife...

I spent 4 nights here, in March, 2015. I had an amazing time. My room was wonderful, in the front tower. From my porch, I had an incredible photographic opportunity with a two-toed sloth. I also saw, right on the grounds, a baby lesser ant eater. The food was out of this world. I don't know how Raul did it,...

One of the best lodge ever. The staff was super friendly and always willing to help. The food was spectacular. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. One of the pluses for this lodge is that they have electricity all the time, you can charge your camera batteries at any time. Thank you to all the staff of the lodge, they...

We had the best time!!! Our guide Miguel was extremely friendly, knowledgable, completely bilingual (currently studying French as well), and the most helpful and attentive guide we ever could have imagined. He's so passionate and enthusiastic about his job, it was contagious. Kurt, the lodge owner, felt like family by the end of our trip. We had so much fun...
