My husband, children (3 and 9 years old), mother, brothers, nieces and I had a wonderful time. The food was out of this world. We had a wonderful vacation and awesome pictures to remember. Five stars. :)

Jamu lodge made our trip to the jungle a fantastic experience. Food was amazing, the guide was absolutely prepared and kind. Every little detail was taken care of. The facilities are beautiful, we had the most wonderful time down there. Thank you Jamu team.

I think, just from a little research, Jamu is about 20USD more than others (if you pay cash and get it for the 300). However, as we came down in the morning to the restaurant full of overnighters, nearly all of them went to Guacamayo. If you want a big group then thats your answer, but we were very happy...

I roomed in a dormitory which was very neat and clean. The food was plentiful, and the guides knowledgeable. We saw new animals daily and lacked for nothing. From the transport out of Lago Agrio, to our final return, Jamu Lodge had everything well planned out, but yet we were never rushed. The lodge runs on solar power, recycles its...

We left early. Poor communication and questionable safety were the reasons. I was there with my 71 year-old mom. The steps at the base of the dock were huge, making it difficult to climb even for me. There are NO handrails on the steps or anywhere at Jamu. Every activity leaves from a canoe using the steps. We were met...

Clean, great food, excellent staff and knowledgeable guides and canoe operators. From the travel office personnel in Quito to the cooks and waiters all was better than promised. Our guide spoke spanish, english and a couple rainforest dialects. Seriously great time. Chuck your phones, load up the camera and just do what you are told. It is an eco-lodge so...

We, a family of four people (two sons of 22 and 17) went on a four weeks travel around Ecuador and Galapagos, and the Jamu Lodge in Cuyabeno was the top experience. The lodge is reached after a two hour trip with a motor canoe. It is situated in the middle of the dense rain forest with access from the...

Great place to visit. During our stay our guide, Sulema, managed to point out at least four species of monkeys, both types of sloths, 2 of the 3 types of caimans, a land tortoise, an anaconda, and I added many new species of birds I'd never seen before including White Collared Toucans, Hoatzins, two types of Aracaris and a Trogon.

My boyfriend and I were traveling in Ecuador for three weeks this summer and our stay at the Jamu Lodge was by far the highlight of the trip. Our room was clean and simple and magically in a tree house. The bathrooms were clean and new and the hot water was wonderful. Every meal was excellent and the company we...
