Rooms are very nice with excellent view of Lake Kivu, only problem is a pungent smell related to the water which is high in sulphides. the only down side is that they have some rooms facing the road which the view is not nice. The Wifi is also slow and should be ready to wait in case you want to...

Manage your expectations. It is not a Western five star hotel and you're surrounded by impoverished population. I spent five nights there and can attest it is an oasis compared to what lies beyond it's perimeter. Breakfast was pretty good and the meals at the restaurant were fine. Even the picky people with me were quite content with the meals...

The view from the view is my favourite thing about this hotel (aside from location - near the Rwandan border and not too far from the city center but far enough not to be in the noisiest parts). The restaurant is OK (that's if they have any of the things you order:-)). I find it's best to ask what they...

I only visited to use the restaurant and the food was very overpriced and not nice at all. The burger was a thin piece of squished meat and the plate was mainly chips. I wouldn't recommend eating here. The views are lovely though and the place has exotic birds (grey crowned cranes). I can't comment on the accommodation.

Its a great Hotel and Restaurant beside Lake Kivu. The ambience is wonderful and soothing. The quality of food is also praiseworthy. I give it 10 out of 10. Thumbs up! There are two clay tennis lawn and live animals are also there. Its a must visit for anyone who is visiting Goma.

Stayed 5 nights at Ihusi Hotel in February and I was unlucky enough to get a room which faced the steed. Well, this means no matter what, you will wake up at 6.30 every morning because of the noise. (these rooms face the most crowded and only road to the border crossing point with Rwanda). The good side of that...

I made a reservation about 4 months prior to my trip and I confirmed my booking again, one week prior to arrival. However, when my friends and I arrived, we were told they gave our reservation to someone else and we would have to take a different, more expensive room. When you are traveling on a strict budget, this is...

You have to come here in Goma and than visit this place... Then only one can truly understand the real meaning of OASIS... Its truly one of the most happening and beautiful place one can find in Goma... May be due to it's close location with the Rwandan and Goma border this place is left undisturbed.. Best place to relax...

Hotel Ihusi (the Wind) is beautifully situated on the shore of Lac Kivu, with beautiful sunset scenes. The charm ends there. I've stayed in several rooms. If you stay in building where the reception is, be prepared for dim, dingy rooms. Mine didn't have a shower curtain. There are more modern rooms in the block with the restaurant. I shared...
