A pleasant family resort with apartments and a campsite. The surroundings are nicely arranged, clean and maintained. The resort has 2 types of apartments, newer and older. We stayed in older apartments for 2+1 persons. The apartment is small and basically equipped with a small kitchen, a dining table and a bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped with kitchen utensils (opener, cutter, etc.). Glasses, plates, forks, etc. are exactly for the number of people per apartment (in our case for 3 people). The beds are not comfortable, they need a new yogi. The balcony is large and spacious.
The cleanliness of the apartment is very poor. The cleaners are constantly going around the apartments, but the cleanliness in the room is very, very bad. If we had at least a broom in our apartment, we could sweep yourself. The balcony was not swept even once during the whole week (we had a storm on the second day of our stay and it was like that until we left). Towels are changed as needed every day. Change of bed linen once a week.
The staff is very polite and friendly, but not very dedicated to work (not all of them, of course).
The resort has a restaurant that offers buffet breakfast and dinner. They offer a wide variety of food like cold food, front kitchen, fruits, desserts, etc. but the food offering is a bit boring as it only changes a little daily. The basis is chicken, potatoes and pizza (in different ways) - every day. Of course, you can also get soup, fish and other meat, pasta, etc. The food tastes like a canteen, tasteless and poorly prepared. My opinion is that the value/quality is very poor.
There are few parking spaces next to the apartments, so cars park right on the green and next to the road - which is not allowed. A large number of parking spaces are located a short distance from the apartments.
All bars in the resort are open until 19:00. After this hour, only the main bar under the restaurant remains open. Animation is organized there in the evenings. Getting a table requires patience and a quick "jump" to the table.
The animation for children is very good and there is a large offer (video games, mini golf, water animation, etc...) The animators are hardworking and resourceful.
I think that for a resort with 4* and a rather high price of accommodation, the quality of the offer is very poor.

Very average resort which is in need of repairs and upgrades. Premium apartments are poor facilities wise two small rings lack of basic utensils to cook with. Feels more like a camp site for kids clubs. Food is very good in the Basilico restaurant and good value. Service elsewhere is disappointing and staff in some areas leave a lot to be desired like the rude guys in the bakery that are more like Waldorf and Stadler from the muppets rude is an understatement and lucky he didn’t get the baguette returned at him sideways!. Housekeeping inconsistent and standards average could be much better. Overall feels like grab the money and go forgetting people have worked hard to save for an enjoyable and pleasant experience.

We stayed in the villas/apartments. Very clean, spacious and nice rooms. Make sure to get one with a balcony. Good AC (needed) and even a little kitchen for fixing lunches/snacks etc if you want. Pool & beach area very nice. Salt water pools. Staff friendly and helpful but service level in restaurant could be higher. Sometimes you need to get the waiter yourself in order to get a beer. We had all meals included and it meant buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner and this was the major concern about the place: the food. Very tasteless, very little variation, very "strange" food that won't work with most families, also much focus on stews, big chunks of meat etc which feels rather weird when it's 33 degrees outside?! Besides that, a pretty wide assortment of dishes and always plenty of vegetables. So you won't starve :-) The place is situated approx 20-30 mins walk from the city center and the store on the location is closed until a new one is ready, so a car makes life easier here.

We had a brilliant holiday . We stayed for a week in a premium apartment. It was spacious and clean. We had 4 children and my husband and o slept on the sofa bed in the lounge. It was comfortable . You can walk down to the sea and the pools. There was always a sun bed free. The sea was beautiful!
We are at the restaurant and buffet. Both were lovely ! The kids loved the ice creams and they were a good price. £1.55 a scoop and they were big.
We got the taxi boat to rovinj it was 7 euros for children over 7 and adults one way and 2 euros for children under 7. Rovinj is beautiful and there are so many restaurants.
We walked to rovinj one day. It was hot and took a while but we swam in the water on the way.
We loved this holiday and would definitely go back

Confusing communication around booking the place.
Booking.com strated the confusion. No matter you filter results for "pet friendly" you end up booking a place where pets are not allowed. Only visible in the confirmation email.
We asked a question via booking.com message, whether we can rebook to a standard apartment (pet friendly) they called, asked for an email to Confirm the request, no reply. We called them next day. Said no places what we needed, so not possible to rebook. We cancelled our booking. . 2 hours later they call that the booking is confirmed....
While I highly appreciate the effort of a lady who called last time (she was very helpful), the whole experience was terrible. At the end we booked another place.

We are staying in the apartments at the resort Amarin. While the room itself is ok and the pools are nice I would not recommend this place for the price. We were not given bedding for the pull out couch just the bottom sheet and a pillow. Also all the restaurants at the resort are closed for lunch except one which only has about 20 tables or so. One of the restaurants looks like it has been closed for a while. None of this information was given to me upon check in and the hours of things are not available online or in the little guidebook in the our room. After waiting for a table to open two groups were seated before us even though the servers knew we were waiting for a table. Then the ice cream stand says it closes at 20:00 but when we tried to get our kids ice cream at 19:30 they were already packing up. They ended up serving us but were very rude in the process and gave us the smallest scoops. Save your money and find a nice apartment somewhere else! I would not recommend this resort for the money. It isn't very convenient if you have to scramble to find something for lunch with 2 young kids or wait forever for a table since only one restaurant is open. We came to relax and it has been frustrating instead.

18 July we visited restaurant near the pools with my friend and childern.
We have ordered pizza for kids for us we ordered traditional Lignje na žaru (grilled calamari) with French fries. For 90 Kn per plate.
What the waiter brought on table was total kick in the belly. Two (2) calamari grilled to dry and uneatable food. We finally finished a few French fries in the small cup.
Never in my Life I have had such an experience. Normally you get 5-6 calamari for that price, but they taste very good.
This is absolutely cheating on customers.I simply Can not find other expression for that!
You should return the money back for this fraudulant behaviour!!!
I will Never recommend this restaurant any further although I was visiting this place quite often (not accommodated).

We stayed here for two nights, we had a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with all the amenities you could need. (This included a microwave)
We didn't use the pool as the weather was a little intermittent. But we were lucky enough to have a beautiful view from our apartment of the sea (we stayed in apartment 367)
We couldn't walk into town from here with our child, but it was a short drive to get there.
This is the second time we stayed here and we would stay again. The only part which can be a challenge is the limited parking and close proximity to the apartments.

First of all this review goes to the management not the people working in resort as I understand and appreciate their effort.
One word for all meals organisation:chaos.
Breakfast serving from 7-10 h.As most of the people are coming around 09hrs ,I don't understand why the time was not changed to i.e.8-11hrs.Like this you have people in queue close to each other and you have situation of long queues for every line so to take normal meal(soup, salad, etc) you have to wait at least 20 minutes.Imagine this and looking after your small children at same time. There is no way to see description of the meal as the letters are ridiculously small.

stayed there with my grown daughter, my daughter in law and my 7 year old granddaughter. It was a perfect match for all ages. Two pools directly connected to the sea. Lots to entertain you such as miniature golf, water aerobics, playgrounds, a kids camp with activities to sign up for etc. The resort is clean, organized, a few restaurant choices, ice cream stand, bar and a place to get coffee. There is a ferry that runs frequently to the city of Rovinj so it makes that easy. In choosing this place. Was looking for something that would make us all happy and I think this did the job. Great holiday. A major plus is I had several questions and concerns and taxi transportation, my walking issues ( I use a cane) etc and they were very responsive, got back to me is a timely manner. Only thing is I would highly suggest they think about refinishing the poor deck with a surface that makes it less slippery. Every day someone slipped and fell ( including myself) Tread carefully!More

Some places take Euro but not everywhere. It's easy to exchange Euro to Kune at good rates in many places.
Dear Sylvia E,
Only bedroom windows of our new apartments have curtains in purpose to make darkness while the guests sleep.
As for breakfast, the price is 10€ per person while children under 12 years have 50% discount.
Kind regards
Vanja
