We only chose Croatia as Turkey was on the red list, and we are so glad we chose the hotel and location…. Hotel is big,but once you get your bearing it’s easy to find your way around. Check in was quick & smooth, staff very polite Room big lots of cupboard space, nice bathroom very clean we had a fantastic room with a fantastic view…. Swimming pools very nice, again very clean around pool areas, snack bar and bar at infinity pool, basic snack here either burger hotdog pizza panini chips but can use main restaurant for lunch…… Good variety of food for breakfast & main dinner (some issues with not being hot enough) we had this on our last 2 nights, we just told them and they apologised and sorted it out…… Good range of drinks, cocktails are good and strong Beach is a pebble beach (need beach shoes) or hurt feet beautiful clear sea the only thing that let this hotel down was lack of entertainment, not sure if this is because it was near end of season??? As there was live music on our first night (25th September) There is a beautiful harbour of which you can get the hotel train, it’s definitely worth a visit little shops, ice cream cocktails etc you can also book boat trips from here……. It’s very picturesque ❤️ We would come back to this hotel absolutely beautiful, thx u for a wonderful holiday We would definitely recommend this hotel

Hotel's Favorite
Just returned from Bellevue (no longer a named Tui hotel) following a one week stay and only have great things to say. We were met by Vera at the front desk and she was there almost the whole holiday, she is very professional, friendly and helpful - thank you for looking after us Vera! The lady running the reception bar is also especially good and the pool-side bar excellent too. In fact almost all of the staff (there are a lot of them) are particularly friendly and helpful, and the majority of front-of-house staff have good English as well as German. We were there with our son, daughter-in-law and their baby and the hotel is certainly set up for young children, with their own pool etc. The hotel also caters very well for older. There are ramps and/or lifts to all areas. The main restaurant is very good for this type of holiday, all excellent and over one week we hardly saw any repetition in food at all except for the basics, breakfast etc. As an all-inclusive package the drinks were ok (though not the best) and even a barista type coffee is extra which surprised us - the machine coffee is ok I guess but their (paid for) iced coffees are good! It is well worth a walk to Rabac (pronounced Rabash) there are are few nice restaurants, a good cocktail bar in the harbour and some gift shops. The Adriatic sea is crystal clear and there are a lot of fish swimming around you when you get in there. We were very lucky in arranging an excursion with the Tui rep (it seems like the Tui connection remains) to see Opatija (pronounced Opatia) and it was just the five of us - thank you Mr Tui. The guide was Mauro and I can't recommend him enough, he was outstanding! Opatija, and the sights along the way, are lovely, and with much history - but then so much of Istria is like that. On a final note, the hotel is very good when it comes to the Covid rules and the majority of people follow them.

I have just returned from a week’s holiday at the Valamar Bellevue Resort with my husband. Overall, we had a lovely relaxing break and although we did find a few things disappointing we understand that it has been a difficult season for the hotel with Covid restrictions etc... so I have tried to give an honest and balanced review. Transfer through the airport on arrival was quick and easy, we opted to take a coach transfer which took around 1 hour but has lovely views on the way. Check in at the hotel was very fast and efficient, and staff friendly and helpful. We were so happy with our room, actually we were given 2 rooms that interconnect, so two of everything, 2 bathrooms (one with a shower the other with a bath), a double bed in one room and twin beds in the 2nd room. We also had 2 balconies with the most amazing sea/pool views. The rooms are very clean, and the maids will come in every day. The rooms have a fridge, which is not stocked but we still found them very useful. Each room also has a flat screen TV which we were able to plug our Chromecast into to watch Netflix and Prime TV etc.… but to be fair there was a good selection of English programmes provided. There is also air conditioning available and the beds very comfortable, with plump soft pillows. You must use your room cards to get electricity in the room which means you cannot leave your air conditioning on when not in the room to save energy. There are a number of pools to use at the Bellevue, one is a fantastic infinity pool with views of the ocean, this pool includes some fun slides and has a bar/snack bar on the side. The water was not heated, it was very cold, but to be honest I don’t think this bothered too many people with most braving the water, Lilo’s and inflatables are allowed. There is another pool nearby which has salted water and was a bit warmer, and not too far from the bar/snack bar mentioned above. Also nearby is a fantastic children pool with lots of water activities for the little ones, we did not use this as we had no children with us but it looked great fun and always seemed to be used by families. In the upper part of the hotel was a smaller quiet pool, which is near the Taverner. Sunbeds are plentiful, we could find a sunbed anytime of the day, no problems at all. One thing I will say is the hotel has lots of seagulls that always seem to be hanging around the pools, they swim in them, sit on the side and literally beg for food. I also see on 2 occasions, seagulls’ poop in the pool. Which obviously cannot be helped, and I’m sure the chemicals in the water will kill off any bacteria but for some people this may be a bit off putting especially if you have a fear of birds. The beach is so beautiful, this hotel is also connected to some of their other hotels that run along the promenade, so you can literally find a sunbed or beach spot anywhere along this section. The water is so clear, and if you go snorkelling you can see fish even in very shallow waters, we loved this and spent some days by the beach. The beaches are stones but there is a little sandy section near the Girandella resort (their hotel next door). There is also a divining centre and water sports Centre towards the top of the resort, we used both and did 2 dives during the week, (for other divers please note they are not PADI certified but accepted our PADI qualifications). They were shore dives, and there was plenty to see, the staff were professional and helpful. We also hired a pair of SUP’s (stand up paddle boards) at a very reasonable price and again the staff at the water sports centre were very professional & helpful. To visit Rabac you can either walk along the promenade or take the little train for a small cost. We used the train one day and had a little stroll around, you can hire boats, book boat trips, and there are little souvenir shops and cafes etc... a nice little change from the hotel. The food & drink at the hotel, we have mixed reviews about this, there was a different roasted meat or fish every day, roasted Beef, Pork, Turkey etc... and this was very nice and cooked very well, we also found the pizza was very good here, and the toppings were different on every serving. But the rest of the buffet we found the food very repetitive, and towards the end of the week we got a bit fed up with the food. On a few occasions we found some of the food cold that was meant to be hot, and they ran out of vanilla ice cream towards the end of our holiday. The pool snack bar did snacks each day, chips, pizza, burgers, hotdogs etc... and there was food available from either the snack bar or buffet most of the day, so you certainly won’t go hungry. On one occasion, they closed the main buffet for a private event and sent all the hotel guests to the smaller buffet lounge downstairs. This was not handled very well by the hotel, as the room was too small to fit all the guests, no seats available on arrival, and not enough room for guests to walk around the buffet, bumping into each other etc... We also had an awkward moment when I left my handbag and husbands phone on our table and went to get our food/drinks, on return to our table the waitress had sat another guest with our belongings still on the table. This was resolved quickly but it was a bit embarrassing. We understand the hotel might hold private events but feel they could have told the guest about this in advance and maybe extended the dining times so guests could have staggered the times they attended. When we booked the holiday, we were told there would be 2 a la carte restaurants available in the evening, Green & Grill and The Taverna but Green & Grill was open for lunch service only and The Taverna was closed. There was a Steak restaurant that you could book in the neighbouring hotel but we heard bad reviews from other guests so did not bother with this. Regarding drinks and bars, we were disappointed that the cocktails are pre-mixed from a machine, and it was a bit confusing as some items were part of all-inclusive at one bar but not at the other bar, for example you could get a cappuccino as part of all-inclusive at the pool bar, but you had to pay at the wine bar. Something that might not be important to some, but we found they used a local brand for cola not Pepsi or Coca-Cola and did not like the taste of this very much. Entertainment, we only see one adult entertainment outside the Wine bar one evening, a singer who seemed quite good. But that was it, there was nothing else, no dedicated sports or activity hosts, and no water aerobics during the day which when we booked was advertised as a daily activity. I did use the Spa at the neighbouring Girandella resort, which was amazing very professional and reasonably priced. Some of our disappointments might be due to the difficult season that the hotel has had with Covid-19 and we did flag some of this to the TUI rep at the resort, who explained that this hotel is no longer a TUI Blue hotel. We did not book this hotel because it was TUI blue, we just liked the look of it and the description of activities and the a la carte restaurants etc... However, interestingly the hotel is still being advertised on TUI website as a TUI blue even for next season. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful; they are a credit to this hotel, and I can see why it is so popular with families with just a 2-hour flight from UK. Overall, we had a lovely relaxing holiday, but feel that some of the reasons why we chose this hotel was not delivered and should have been relayed to us before we travelled.

Lovely hotel. There was enough to do with my child for a week but probably not two weeks. That will also be part down to TUI not having their on-site entertainment due to COVID though. There was kids entertainment each night but sadly not up to much. Buffet does some really great food as does the pool bar, but as with all buffet places this can get repetitive fast. They did change things up a bit daily but for the most part it was the same stuff. I’d recommend some sort of one way system for that restaurant as meal times were often spoiled by guests pushing in front of others and just generally being really rude (looking at the older guests here). Not the hotels fault and that will not affect my score, just something to be aware of. Rooms was spacious and clean, and the view was amazing! All staff encountered were really friendly. Not much in the area aside from walking down to the harbour for a couple of ice cream, cocktail and souvenir shops. A few boat trips available etc. For kids there are the kids pools, some activity rooms and at least 2 soft plays and a park. I would definitely love to return albeit when the TUI entertainment is back up and running so there is a better bit of entertainment for the little one.

Currently on holiday at Valamar Bellevue Resort and in general having a great time but there are a few key areas that I wish we had been made aware of when we booked: 1. The Taverna - Closed 2. Land Train - Have to pay for each way 3. Snack Bar Offering - Okay but could be improved 4. No daytime entertainment programme for adults - ended on Sunday 19th September for the season - This is a shame 5. Unsure why when the kids entertainment is in another complex but is advertised as available in Bellevue we then have to pay extra for drinks over there 6. No bath in bathroom, only shower, bit difficult to manage with a baby Some great things: - Fantastic facilities for children in the pool, soft play, Maro club (based at the other hotel) - Room great - Views fantastic - Most staff very friendly and helpful

Dear Ms. Charlotte, thank you for booking Valamar Bellevue Resort and taking the time to share your experience. We'll refer to some of the points mentioned in your review - the land train is not in hotel's ownership but from a private owner which is why it is paid. Unfortunately due to epidemic regulations and V Health & Safety measures we reduced shows and entertainment contents, we hope for a better new season with less restrictions. All information about available children’s entertainment and location are shared through our official web page, room directories (available by scanning the QR code) and our My Valamar App. We are glad you liked the contents of our resort and thank you for commendations about our staff, we will happily proceed them your message. It would be our pleasure to welcome you again soon. Warm regards, Valamar Bellevue Resort Management Team
