We’ve been there 2 weeks in the middle of August. The location is absolute beauty with the great pine trees, different flowers and figs. The outstanding see views are the great attraction of this place. Please, note that the beach is public so be ready to rest in crowd, but we were always able to find tiny place. The sun beds are for separate payment. Most of the restaurants on the territory do NOT accept cards but there are cash machine in the nearby. The rooms are well equipped, you will have everything you need for the cooking in the kitchen - the cooker, coffee machine, microwave, all the minimum cooking equipment which is quite comfortable. The really pain of this beautiful place in service. As was described in the reception the garbage is to be taken out and the towels to be changed by the maid every day. Nevertheless be ready to live with full garbage several days and use one towel for the whole family. Complaining can change the situation but for a really short period. The dry cleaning equipment is not available even despite the request to reception. All in all this is good quiet family place.

I decided to write a review as prior to going I was puzzled why there were hardly any recent ones. That I believe is simply to do with the fact that English tourists are definitely in the minority. It is mainly, German, Slovenian and various others. This did not impact negatively on our holiday at all. All reception and entertainment staff can speak English. We arrived around lunchtime and were not able to check in until around 2.30pm so retrieved shorts from our case and got changed in the toilets and went for food and a cold beer to pass time. Prepare a quick change easily accessible if you arrive early. All facilities are immaculately clean. Accommodation review will not apply to many as we were located in Villa Antonia which is the central yellow building highlighted in many of the pictures. I believe there are only 3 apartments in the villa. In keeping with the look and authenticity of the villa these are furnished in an old but beautiful style. Carpeted, large wooden wardrobes, sitting room kitchen and the most magnificent grand balcony. I imagine other apartments will be modern. We had aircon. Kitchen was very small but fine for light snacks. Noticeable observations; it would be nice to have a few more hangers and a couple of trouser ones; We never saw our maid but our bins were emptied regularly and we were supplied with more towels than we could use. The towels were placed on our sofa along with bedding and realised that the maid doesn't clean the room or change the bed during your stay but you can change it yourself. I like to keep things tidy wherever I go so it was fine and not intrusive; This is only applicable to Villa Antonia, it has the most spectacular and huge balcony to the rear, amazing views, it's stunning BUT this balcony is shared with the apartment next door. We were fortunate to have two lots of good neighbours although we rarely crossed paths and could communicate. The day before we left a family we could not communicate with arrived and one morning I was about to go on the balcony when I noticed our neighbour doing her yoga so I preferred to give her space as would have felt intrusive. The balcony is so big it could easily have a sympathetic divider, some tall potted plants or trellis. The entire area is beautiful, clean and lovely. Yes, there are steps, find the more direct route to Porec instead of the coastal route if you are walking it cuts a good 10-15 mins off. Several restaurants within easy walking distance, loads in Porec which is wonderful. It is an early closing area, no late night drinking parties. We had an evening in Porec and arrived back around midnight and the bar and everywhere is closed up. If you want late nights just go to the town. There is security you feel very safe. No rush for sunbeds and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this property if you enjoy having a walk or bike ride. You enjoy a few drinks and food it's perfect.

I have just returned from a week at these apartments. As per the previous review English are in the minority both in the Plava Laguna complex and Porec as a whole. However, this was not an issue and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We had a one bed apartment which was clean and spacious, the only downfall would be that the apartment was not cleaned throughout the duration of the stay. This is odd as the bins are emptied daily so I'm unsure why the floors etc can't be mopped at the same time. Porec is around a 30 minute walk, if you go down the steps (there are quite a few) and turn right you can follow the coastal path throught the Valamar resort and into Porec, we did detour on one occasion however there wasn't a pavement at particular points and therefore we felt it safer to follow the path. There is a train that stops outside the mini Market at the bottom of the steps this operates around every 35 minutes and costs only 20 kuna but does get full at times. The pool on the complex was really nice and clean with adequate lounges, it was probably missing a little bit of music for atmosphere. There was security on the complex who would regularly patrol which made us feel really safe. Overall would recommend and would return.

First the obvious. It's on a massive hill, so yes there are steep slopes and stairs. I'm fat, I managed it! This is one of the best places we've stayed. The apartment was lovely, a little tired but mega Aircon which was a life saver in 36 degree heat! No loud neighbours and a lovely safe feel across the whole complex. The pool at the top of the hill was gorgeous. Lovely breeze and heated pool. Nightmare getting loungers, often lots saved with towels with no one to be seen. But we just started coming later and it was fine then. Beaches at the bottom of the hill were like a dream. The little stony cove was our favourite and we often paid for loungers just for extra comfort but it was fine without if you didn't mind a stony bum. The water was clear but bring water shoes, it's very rocky. We got half board at the neighbouring hotel (10 mins walk) and it was delicious. Drinks were included over the summer. Nice beer on tap and red and white wine alongside softs too. The food was great. Lots of grilled meat and fish and even some pizza for the pickier eaters or those just needing a carb fix.
All round this was an absolute dream trip for us. My knees are done in from the stairs but we loved it and will definitely return if we come back to the area.
Watch out for the land trains though. They fly around so fast and wouldn't have a chance of stopping if someone ran out into the road!

On arrival we had a problem with our room but we were placed in a good alternative until ours was ready and offered free dinner and breakfast.
The staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
The pool and toilets were clean. There are housemartins nesting in the building near the pool so you can sit and watch them. Also swallows and swifts can be seen flying over.
The whole resort is clean and tidy.
Close to the beautiful beach along with bars and restaurants. It's a fair walk, about a mile, to the old town but there is a tourist train and boat taxi at reasonable prices or places to stop for a drink along the way.
We would go back again and would reccomend.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2 week holiday in Croatia. The accommodation is fairly basic and a bit cramped but the location more than makes up for this. 2 minutes from the sea. No oven just a job and microwave. All very clean. Would stay again.

Great self catering place. Ideal for families and couples. Very hilly and loads of stairs so beware if you are a bit unfit or have mobility issues. Restaurant on site is great and the pool is big, clean and perfectly positioned with plenty of sunbeds and brollies. Nice walk into Porec. No kettle or toaster which was a bit disappointing. Bed was lovely and comfy and room was clean, if a bit dated. It was my second visit but have decided my last as the stairs and hills nearly killed me.

We stayed at the Laguna Bellevue Apartments In June 2005, not knowing much about the area, or even croatia as a whole. We booked through their own Plava Laguna website which booking direct was the cheapest option. We arrived at Pula airport from Bournemouth with thomsonfly and took a taxi to the complex of Laguna Bellevue (about 50 mins & about £50). The complex is beautiful, extremely clean indeed (as is Porec in general), very hard working friendly staff, and totally secure. It will please any age and any type of holiday. It is not your typical holiday complex, it is by far so much better and to suit everyone,yound,old,couples,familes, even dogs welcome and poopascoop bins everywhere! If you are a family, as we are, There is a large childrens pool in addition to the large main pool (with pool bar / restaurant), highchairs and cots available, childrens play area (small but adequate), a free kids club, and just generally a great place for your kids to explore. The apartments are very clean tidy and fully equiped for all needs, and although there isn't daily cleaning service, they bring fresh towels daily, and new bedding for you. The complex is very versatile in the sense of it will be what ever you want it to, if you want relaxing, you got it, if you want active, you have it, and you can be as private or as social as you like. You need to go there to understand exactly what I mean. Several restaurants and supermarket on the complex, which are very reasonable. Walk around the complex will make you feel you are far away from everything, when you are a few mins from all action. You almost feel your'e on an island as you are surrounded by water in most directions. For the younger adults/couples, laze around the pool by day, and there is the main night club of the town just a few steps down at the sea edge and is open until 4am..the music cannot be heard, and didnt disturb us when in our appartment..very thick glass!
For any age, you have the beautiful view all around, and over to the old town of porec. Porec is an absolute must by night (or day) to stroll around the shops and the marina..its lovely, cobbled streets, boat trips, plenty of restaurants and coffee bars in all directions..and only a few minutes by taxi, which is equivalent to just under £5, or the land train for a little less, or a lovely walk along the coast line will take about 30-40 mins)
Eating very cheap anywhere. Family eating with wine & coffee/drinks (mains and dessert) not much over £25 total on bill. Still many things very Italian, and quaint.
We travel many times throughout the year, and most places suit a specific persona, but the area of Porec and the Bellevue Apartment complex is the one place I have stayed that can fit in to any category of any requirement, of any age..And I very highly recommend anyone considering Croatia, to opt for Porec, and strongly praise the Bellevue for a wonderful stay...Oh and the prices are extremely reasonable indeed when booked direct ( http://www.plavalaguna.hr/Objekti.asp?ObjectID=28955 )....We saved @£500 on booking direct rather than through a travel agent

Just to confirm every thing the previous entries say. Absolutely Fantastic. Went with our children, and they had a great holiday, and it is probably the first holiday (and we've had many), that we could actually relax and have a normal family holiday all in one (we usually come away from our family holidays needing a holiday!). Truely a place to stay for absolutely anyone, any age, young couples, old couples, families, or groups. What ever you are looking in a holiday, you will find it here, it ticks all boxes for all types. we always check trip advisor before we go anywhere, and it certainly got it 100% spot on for us this time. Book directly with them, and your flights seperately if you can, the accomodation is such good value, when of the cheapest we've had, and also one of the best value. Definately going back in the spring.
