Stayed at the hotel the last two weeks in September. As other reviewers have said, everywhere was spotless. All the staff are a credit to the hotel. We booked a sea view room and got a sea view room. We asked for a double bed and got a double bed. NOT to singles pushed together. We knew that there would be no kettle in the room and brought our own along with ‘makings’ and a travel iron. Yes the German folk dare I say, are ignorant. Pushing shoving and expecting you to move out of their way. We just got over it. There was a hand sanitiser outside the restaurant. We saw NO ONE other than ourselves use it the whole two weeks!!! Porec is lovely and a nice walk along the coast path next to lots of beautiful trees. We took the local bus to Rovinj for the day. This was easy to do buying the tickets from the bus station in Porec the day before travel. We also took the TUI organised trip to Lake Bled. This was a long trip, but we’ll worth it. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

A beautiful area to visit and the Mediteran is beautiful too. Exceptionally clean. Staff are lovely. A bottle of wine in room for our honeymoon. Couldn’t fault it in any way. Sadly the week we booked was when every elderly care home in Germany sends its residents. They must have starved them before they arrived too, because the amount of pushing and shoving at meal times was horrendous. Never have so witnessed such bad manners. We ended up eating out, even though we were half board to escape it all. Drinks were included with evening meal so the same group ( hundreds of them) sat drinking in the restaurant all night. We would come back after a night out and there they were. Had a massage at the hotel which I’m hoping to feel the benefits of but it was a little rough for me. Still bruised 3 weeks later. Porec and surrounding area is lovely, the Basilica is worth a visit, as is Zelena Laguna and St Nicholas island off Porec, . Didn’t go much further as have been to Pula previously and done all the trips. Noddy train and water taxis all cheap as iate the tuk tuks. We treat ourselves to an hour in a speedboat which took us to Vsar and back, amazing!

It was my first time visiting Croatia in July 2022. Hotel Positives: - Great Location: surrounded by greenery, close to the beach and a 20 minute(ish) walk to town along a picturesque coast. Porec town has a lively atmosphere, a pretty place to explore and offers fun excursions. It is also close to AquaColor water park which was a fun day out. - Tasty Food: Plenty of choice every night and all was was tasty, though lacked sauces. - Pool area: Hammocks were a nice option for when sun loungers were full. Things to be aware of: - This is predominantly a German/Croatian hotel, not many Brits, we met only one other couple. - There are no small toiletries, kettle or fridge in the kitchen. - Staff, and guests, were not so friendly. - Entertainment is mostly a local singer/musician - There's a shallow pool of water on the entrance to each pool which you have to walk through, which is often dirty and an inconvenience when you've dried off. Important things to note: - It is expensive! Croatia in general is expensive, sun loungers on the beach worked out to £15 each, bar drinks and snacks are pricey, a 5 minute taxi ride was £10... be prepared to spend more than you would in comparison to Spain, Turkey etc.. - Make sure you book the balcony rooms.. else you will end up with a dark room with bars across the window, and a small box balcony you are unable to see out of. (Photos attached) We paid around £100 to upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was worth it though it was less spacious, lacking storage space and there was no mirror on the dressing table. Overall, it was a nice enough stay for our first time, and although the location and food were a big plus, I will not be back to this hotel.. However I will definitely revisit Croatia.

Holiday with TUI 10/09-24/09, Half board plus. Arrived Pula 10-15am, taxi to hotel, told room not ready till 2pm. Had emailed hotel requesting high level room with sea view, allocated top floor room with lovely sea view. Room very basic and dated, double bed, bed settee, nice bathroom, but lacking storage space for clothes. No drawers at all, 3/4 small shelves, no fridge (hire one for £4 day but doesn't fit in area provided, just placed under a shelf), £3 day for "key" operated safe deposit box in cupboard, no tea/coffee making facilities, whilst view lovely, balcony very small, not a good first impression, bedding was changed every other day, towels charged every day. Disappointed with room and lack of amenities. Pool area very crowded, plastic loungers (you could buy a cushion cover from shop on site, and you really needed one), 3 levels of sunbathing areas, no need for early morning towel run but some still did. Pool small for number of guests (320 rooms ?) Pool towels provided but you need a towel card from reception. Lobby Bar/Pool bar staff excellent, pleasant and smiling, drinks not cheap and "spirit " measures extremely small for price paid. Nice seating area adjacent pool. Food was really poor. The "restaurant " layout was all wrong, 5/6 separate food stations, and the meal times was a free for all bun fight!!! It was more like a factory canteen than a restaurant. The choice of food was ok but repetitive and COLD ! Food was either "aired" or cold and because of the space between each food station everyone was barging about and bumping into each other. In particular, the German clients were just plain ignorant and totally inconsiderate towards anyone else, constantly pushing in and pushing you out of the way, meal times were totally shambolic. Food was not "hot " or even warm, cold bacon at breakfast, cold sausages, cold eggs, only hot food was toasted sandwiches, self-service juice, coffee, tea machines, evening meals similar, cold stews, cold pizza, chicken, pork, thank goodness 4 salad choice So disappointing with quality of food. Porec is lovely, nice streets (but can be slippy), hidden restaurants, local shops selling mostly same things. There is nothing local to the hotel, no supermarket, nearest in Porec, beach bar about 300 metres walk. Sadly, the hotel disappointed, not what we expected and certainly not 4T /4*, I know other clients will disagree with our comments but we have tried to give an honest opinion, rooms, quality of food, and pool was poor. Hotel cannot be blamed for the ignorant and inconsiderate guests but we really disappointed with the hotel and our stay. Sorry to be so negative but we expected a much higher standard hotel for 4T/4* Would not in all honesty recommend the hotel and it's a shame as all the staff are superb.

This hotel is in an amazing position, pool areas very good, a 15/20 minute walk into Porec which is very beautiful and the walk is very pretty if you don’t want to walk there is the tourist train, which is cheaper if you get at the back of the hotel instead of the front 😃 how ever nice the hotel is it is not really for the English, it is mostly a hotel for Germans and very very rude ones at that !!! Most of reception struggle with English including the manager, it is German entertainment on a night time a couple of singers !!! Same every night , let’s get to the food .. I really struggled , don’t get me wrong lots of it but catered for Europeans mostly German very poor, what was left from the night before returned for breakfast !! How ever the wine and lager was included in the night meal .. towels where changed everyday and the hotel is very clean had a small room with no balcony over looking the front car park you have to pay another 8 euro a day for a balcony .. Porec itself is probably the cleanest place I have visited and some stunning places to visit .. especially Revinj on a boat trip, if I went back to Croatia would probably go more Dubrovnik area …

Excellent hotel very clean and in a very good location. The room we had was at the back of the hotel with metal shutters and a very small balcony the room itself was spacious enough for two people and had a decent bathroom. The sea is just a short walk from the hotel easy access to Porec 20 minute walk or go on the little train. (Bad points about this hotel) the food is very bland and repetitive and mostly German, staff don't really understand English or choose not to and not very friendly. This hotel is very geared up for Germans There's lots of arrogance from them which makes it very uncomfortable. Porec is a very beautiful place with lots of bars and restaurants and is unbelievably laid back and relaxed. We went on the Venice trip booked through Tiu found it to be a very rushed experience but nice but wouldn't do it again.

Beautiful hotel and area.. Food is lovely if you can actually get any! Breakfast was nice and peaceful but I did go early. Dinner is a nightmare... Long queues and very rude people just push in to get what they want! Only my second day here and I will be eating out for the rest of the week!

We first came to this hotel in 2006 and have been coming nearly every year since with kids and now grandkids. It used to be a mixture of elderly Italians hungarians and very occasional Brit with the rest made up of austrians. We came here for the quiet but I needed in my busy job was peace and quiet. They had good massage services and would do anything to accommodate anyone. ASDA kids grow up and had their own families we started booking the BelleVue apartments opposite. The BelleVue apartments with a families with kids the hotel was elderly and quiet. This year the hotel is full of other complete mixture mostly Austrian but probably 40% British with kids making a lot of noise. The kids club which did a roaring trade in the early days and a show every night for the adults didn't seem to be running at all. We asked for a table for ten on one night which would have been my late wife's birthday but we're turned down so we had to make our table for 10 ourselves when I asked for two bottles of prosecco for the table I was told to go to the bar and get it myself this hotel used to be a very nice place but I don't think I'll ever come again. There are no lifts all the way to any room. You need to be physically fit for the stairs. Stairs down to the restaurant, stairs to the lifts.

Booked this hotel via TUI and went with a friend for 11 nights half board plus ( wine, beer and soft drinks on tap at dinner, serve yourself). Am pleased with the hotel as there were many positives. 1. Location is superb, right on the coastline with their own little beach. Beautiful 2km walk through the trees to Porec or take the land train. 2. Grounds and public areas are immaculate. There are always people cleaning common areas, all maintained superbly. All staff professional. 3. Excellent pool and loungers; some around the pool and others on two different tiers. 4. Our room was very good; comfortable beds, good fridge, balcony, storage, powerful shower etc. Safety deposit box hire not included but very cheap. Towels changed daily. 5. Good range of times for breakfast and lunch. 6. Good variety of food being constantly replenished. 7. Mix of nationalities, although German easily the majority. 8. Waiting/table clearing/restaurant staff very efficient Areas to be imoroved: 1. While towels were changed daily and beds made, the room could have done with hoovering, shower cleaned etc and it didn't appear to happen more than once. 2. Lack of useful food labelling makes any firm of dietary issue a challenge. I am veggie and am quite happy to make up unusual meals from a buffet (it is three star, I don't expect a fine dining experience!) the lack of labelling was an issue. For example the scrambled eggs were always labelled as that, even though some days there was ham in them on closer inspection. Just a simple v would be very helpful. All in all, we had a great holiday in beautiful Istria and this hotel delivered what I hoped it would. Good value for money.
