#22 of 35 hotels in Porec
Sitting right above a Blue Flag beach, Hotel Plavi was partially renovated in 2016 when the new, light and airy dining and reception area were created. As a bike hotel, it offers plenty of additional services to the cycling enthusiasts, starting with the repair stations and bike maintenance facilities, all the way to special packed lunches prepared for the long distance cyclist in mind. Rooms are snug and well kept, with comfortable beds. Most have balconies that offer nice views of the surrounding area and the islands in the distance. Sunsets are amazing, bathing your room in orange gold. The pool area is intimate, with loungers around the pool, but Hotel Plavi being part of the Zelena Resort means you can take your pick of the other hotel pools in the area. Plenty of bars and restaurants along the coastline provide ample entertainment in the evening, but if you've spent your day outdoors you just might choose to stay in and relax.

A perfectly acceptable and well run 3 star hotel. The food was perfectly acceptable ( trust me i am very picky!). The Lunch proposal was very weak and not a lot of care was taken in preparing the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and there was so much to do ( snorkelling, kayaking, webit, cycling …) The water was very clear and there were some very beautiful parts to explore. The only negative and very dangerous aspect was the total lack of COVID precautions to which we are used to in Italy. All the other tourists not using masks and social distancing. They were living in cuckoo land. I actually asked the Hotel organisation whey temperatures were not taken before entering and why masks were not made obligatory. Apparently the Croatian guidelines did not foresee it - so they are at fault! I found totally absurd when other tourists looked at you as if you were an alien with a mask on and would day COVID.. NO COVID IN CROATIA…. sniggering. It just shows how one of this terrible illnesses allies is IGNORANCE. The tourist standards that lodged in this area were from medium to low and prevalently from eastern block nations. Only a minority respected hotel hygiene and manners ( feet on the sofas, walking around with bare feet, bluetooth speakers in the swimming pool area …) making the life for the hotel workers harder! more work cleaning - which they did as much as possible. I highly recommend the PLAVA LAGUNA hotel chain. I think we will be back but maybe in a different structure where there are more educated tourists.

Just come back from Poreč. The hotel is ok, owerall clean, very nice stuff. Just they didn't make beds last three days and didn't change dirty towels. Since we like open sea more we went swimming to the beach of hotel Delfin every day.

Excellent staff. Clean hotel, functional but small room with air conditioning. Balcony with sea view. Swimming pool in the hotel yard. Beaches a few meters (typical Croatian beaches, that it is true). Half board with varied food and buffet service. The restaurant staff moves very quickly to well serve a large number of tourists. Refreshments, wine and beer for free. The resort area provides a fun program all day, including evening, for tourists and children. Parking places seem sufficient but it is chaotic allocated.

This was our second family holliday in this hotel. The rooms are clean, maybe they need some updating. Most of staff are really friendly and doing their best that the visitors enjoy their stay. The food is really really excellent. It's so good, that even the small children (and the pickiest types) enjoy their meals and find something for their taste. Mr. Petar (the chef of the kitchen) knows how to prepare the meals and chooses the right ingredients and really puts his soul into it. He is really a great chef. Also Ms Branka (one of the waitresses) was very friendly, polite and doing her best that the guests could enjoy their meals. The balconies in the rooms are small, but that doesn't bother us. There are a lot of ways to enjoy at the beach, on walks around the Zelena laguna and Poreč.
