We stayed there for four nights and were delighted by all the staff and fantastic breakfast and their brunch/lunch from 11-13 O'clock. The only slight drawback is that there is no beach in front of the hotel, but you can use for free facilities provided by a sister hotel on St. Nicolas Island, reachable in 10 minutes by boat. Actually, we liked that part of our stay - to take a boat to St. Nicholas. In front of a hotel, there is a departure point to ferry to Venezia and other locations.

I fully agree with all the previous positive comments. Great position, amazing food and staff and lovely to be able to use the island. Now the negatives, we booked a wonderful room in the Villa Nicoletta which is part of the hotel and just up the road. We were amazed at the beautiful big room (no. 12) balcony and view. However, it’s right next door to a very noisy bar! We were so close I think my husband could have put his arm out of the window and pick up a drink! It also had multi coloured strobe lights. The receptionist was empathetic, gaily telling us that they’re always getting complaints about the noise! They moved us to a much smaller suite right next door to the hotel’s air conditioning unit so we couldn’t open our bedroom doors. What a huge disappointment, they should say on the website that it can be noisy so folk can make an informed choice. We were told that we might have to pay for the ‘upgrade’ as we booked so early the room cost had gone up, ridiculous and luckily we didn’t pay. The poor receptionist kept having to ask her manager who was hiding in a back office, it would have been nice if he had come to speak to us himself given the circumstances!

This hotel is excellent. The accommodation we were allotted was very comfortable, we were not expecting the junior suite. We were expecting what we had asked for which was a double room with a balcony. The breakfast menu catered for all tastes and the presentation was excellent. The restaurant staff were very smart, most polite and very helpful. The end of our ten day stay came all too soon. Thanks to all the staff, especially the Reception staff, who made our stay so enjoyable. We hope to return again next year.

This Hotel definitely deserves a 5 star rating. The cleanliness of all the bedrooms and public place are exceptional. The buffet breakfast was excellent most of it cooked to order. Also they do a Buffet brunch which as the Breakfast does includes Champagne!! In the evening from 17:00 to 18:00 there a free Champagne hour, all included in your holiday price. The hotel is situated at the far end of the marina with close access to the old town and plenty of restaurants because this hotel is in the Valmar group you get a free pass to use the ferry to the sister Hotel on the island and the use of all their facilities. Porec old town has a variety of restaurants and shops for you to peruse also along the marina. There is a variation of boat trips to take you around the coast. We did the dolphins watch and the trip to Rovinj. it is also possible to take a day,s boat trip to Venice.

Booked at fairly short notice via an Easyjet holiday in July. What an amazing week we had in this hotel. The service is fantastic and we absolutely loved the champagne breakfast (and brunch). Such a choice of food and all the staff were excellent , very friendly and helpful. Prosecco and snacks also provided early evening which is great! Also provided with free boat travel , towel and lounger hire for the nearby island which was also fantastic. A wonderful hotel in a fantastic location , will definitely be our first choice of hotel if we return to Porec (which is a lovely place for a holiday).

This hotel was lovely and as expected - the room was a decent size, the bed comfortable (pillows too soft for me but that's a personal preference), very clean and we had the sea view we requested and had paid for. The sound proofing when the french doors were shut was amazing - with the doors open there was a surge of noise (as expected from the location), but fully shut it all just disappeared (room 308). If you feel you need the windows/door open when sleeping then this location would be noisy for you, but we preferred having them shut and having the air con on. Toiletries are provided, in the form of an all in one hair/body wash, a body lotion and hand wash. I enjoyed the body wash but preferred to use my own hair products. Use of the hotel/island across the bay was great to have - it was very quiet when we visited so had no problem getting a front row sun bed on the sandy family beach which was quiet and had no children using it when we were there. In busier times there is a small "relax" beach for adults only. Not all beaches are available for use as some are exclusive to the islands 5* guests, but there is a choice of a sandy, pebbly or rocky one (and of course the main pool is available) so no complaints at all. When using the beach we used the Olive Grill for lunch - good service and food, and you can put the cost on your room to save carrying money with you. Beach towels are provided so you can leave your own at home and save some room in your suitcase if you want. You can use the Isabella Hotel for an evening buffet meal at a cost of 28 euros per person - we were only told about this by another guest (not reception) who recommended it to us. We gave it a go one evening but would not recommend it personally - it reminded me why I don't do all inclusive holidays anymore :) and there are so many good restaurants to choose from within Porec Old Town. There are only a couple of minor items that stop me giving this hotel 5/5: (i) there was no fresh fruit juices available at breakfast (all from concentrate and a machine), (ii) there was meant to be waiter coffee service at breakfast but we only got asked if we wanted coffee twice out of seven breakfasts and (iii) although we had french doors we could not open them fully due to bad placement of the desk/dressing table (this could have been smaller/moved down the wall to allow full access to just sit and enjoy the view/beeze).

Just visited for brunch because the word got around that they serve a very tasty brunch. It’s true, it is worth to visit for brunch from 11-13h. The food is local, very tasty, a lot to choose from and there’s coffee and Prosecco included, all for 20 EUR for non-hotel guests (for hotel guests brunch is included in their stay). Today reservations were not needed and we were allowed to visit with our furry friends which was definitely a bonus point. The staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel restaurant Spinnaker was also on our gourmet list but will have to wait for our next visit to Poreč.

This hotel is very well located for access to the old town in Porec. That does mean that there is no room for a pool or any outside space. However that is a price worth paying for its location. The rooms are large with very effective air conditioning and are always kept very clean. It is preferable to have a room with a harbour view but our room had a view across the rooftops of the old town which was acceptable but I think some of the rooms on that side of the hotel have no view at all. Without exception all the staff at the hotel are amazing and as good as any we have experienced anywhere. We do have one concern about this hotel concerning the catering. Our holiday was advertised as half board which is reasonable to assume means breakfast and evening meal.Alas at this hotel breakfast was served from 7am until 11am and at 11am it switches to brunch until 1pm.At 1pm the kitchen closes for the day. For us it meant that we could only eat a salad at midday and then had to eat at local restaurants in the evening. That meant an additional cost of 60 to 70 € every night for 2 weeks for which we had not budgeted. On the day of our arrival there was no food available for us at 7pm. The quality and variety of the food was excellent, particularly the breakfast menu. Overall it would have been cheaper for us to stay at the Isabella hotel on the island. The ability to use the free ferry across to the island for its pools and beaches was appreciated as was the ability to charge drinks etc to your room number.

We recently returned from 2 weeks, in this delightful hotel. It is in such a great position, literally on the promenade, but just a mere three minutes walk from the beginning of the pretty, buzzy Old Town. Without exception, from the incredible, helpful reception staff, to all the wonderful waitresses/waiters and managers, everyone was so kind. Although a four star hotel, the range of breakfast items, both cooked and cold, would match anything that any five five star hotel could offer. The free Prosecco hour, between 17.00 and 18.00 hrs was great fun, on the outside terrace, overlooking the boats and the sea. There is, in our opinion, nothing to improve on and we sincerely hope to return, one day. Top marks for everything! John and Josie Honeyball
