Built in 1910, in the contemporary style of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the former “Hotel Riviera“is the first hotel in the rich cultural and historical heritage of the town of Porec whose guests were aristocrats. The hotel offers its international clientele a union of luxurious architecture of a past era and comfort of first-rate modern catering. Surrounded by the deep blue Adriatic Sea, with a view of the harbor and just a step away from the picturesque historic centre of the town of Poreč, the hotel offers its guests total comfort, with many recreation and relaxing possibilities: elegantly furnished rooms and suites, an outdoor swimming pool, a secluded wellness and spa zone, a space for seminars and congresses, as well as a restaurant and a café.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the property and enjoyed our stay. The rooms have been updated and are modern and comfortable. The location is perfect and easy walking distance to the harbor side, shops, marina vendors and grocery stores.
There ara a few suggestions.
1. Parking is not at the property and shuttle back and forth to your car could be smoother. Not sure I would not just pay for a taxi back and forth given the wait times on both ends.
Not enough sun loungers by the pool and in true European fashion people mark their chairs and pile their stuff in them at the day break and then selfishly occupy the chair even when they are not there. Hotel either needs to get more lounge chairs or informed a 2 or 3 hour limit on occupying the chair. It made us not want to come back.
3. The half board option is well worth the the little additional amount we paid. Great dinners and good service.
Overall it was a good stay but you don't go to Croatia in the summer to not get a lounge chair at the pool. I am not getting up at 05:00 to put my towel on a lounger.
Staff was generally pleasant ans productive.

We had a lovely stay of 5 nights. Very friendly staff especially the lady at breakfast (long black hair in ponytail) and the young man and lady during day in bar by pool. Sorry I don’t know names!
There weren’t enough sun beds but the space by the pool was restricted and you could sit in the comfy chairs if none were available. The sun loungers have very comfy padded mattresses. Pool was great as it was very hot so we used it many times.
Room clean, bed comfy, great shower, no balcony but we overlooked the sea. The building was beautiful.
Breakfast very good with a large variety of foods.
Great location surrounded by the beautiful sea and a stones throw from the beautiful old streets of Porec with many great restaurants and bars.
We loved it!

A perfect escape. Staff, service, facilities, food and room all first class. A beautifully romantic base for exploring Porec and surrounding areas. Transfers from the main car park in Porec were handled professionally and the location is perfect.

A clean, nice hotel in the town center. nothing to complain. Free safe, fast wifi, working A/C. As the traffic is very limited around the old town, one has to park on a designated parking zone on the outskirts and call the hotel shuttle. Never waited longer as 4 minutes. Usually even less, as we called already on approach.

Lovely hotel. Ideal location. Breakfast excellent. Had an evening meal at hotel very good indeed. Walking distant to old town and boat excursions. Staff lovely. We travelled by car and parked out of the town however we got lost and the hotel mini
bus came to our aid and get us to
the right car park.Downsides to the hotel are that Mini bar is very expensive. $18 for a small bottle of wine. Very small pool with cabanas and sunbeds but some selfish people felt it was justified to not only put their towels on a cabana but also on sunbeds as well. We were only there three days and in that time we saw people put their towels on beds by 7-30am then disappear for the whole day and come back at about 3pm to 4pm. New people arriving were having to sit on chairs at the bar due to no beds. We complained about this to the hotel reception but the same people did the same thing the day we were leaving so nothing was done about it. This is a big issue at this hotel. If not bothered about lying at the pool can highly recommend.

Very pleasant stay. Excellent location to access the beautiful Old Town. Lovely view over the water. Breakfast excellent and staff very friendly. Evening set meal was lovely and excellent value and served by a very gracious waiter ( sorry do not know his name.) Only downside was a somewhat dated room but generous size so did not detract from our stay.

This is a lovely hotel on the peninsula. The room was really nice with a good powerful shower. The breakfast is plentiful with loads of lovely fresh fruit. The restaurant staff are all really friendly and lovely and attentive. It is a shame this restaurant is under used as we had some lovely meals. The lamb chops in pistachio and honey crust and the seafood spaghetti were very nice. Sitting on the terrace watching the sunsets were amazing. The weather could have been better as we had quite a lot of rain. Suggest visiting later in the year in June or July

The hotel Is located in the historic centre right on the water's edge. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is nice and the pool is ok ( rather small, but ok).
We didn't really enjoy when a party boat docked near the swimming pool and tested its speakers by playing extremely loud music.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We came here for dinner and the service, food and location were perfect.
Very nice waiters/waitresses, reasonable prices and absolutely delicious food. From the table you can look at the sea and everything's spacious and not cramped. Highly recommend!!!

I hope when people read reviews they look at the latest ones and not ones from years ago as things do change over time. This is a beautiful hotel with lovely friendly staff. The rooms are clean and the bed probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast is fantastic with plenty of choice. I went to the wellness centre twice the lady was amazing . It is ideally located for seeing porec and days out on boats. It has a good outside area for sunbathing. Is great to sit and watch all the big boats coming and going. It is a Central hotel and yes there will be noise so don't go there if you want to hear birdsong and not hear people having fun. Well done Hotel Palazzo thank you for a lovely holiday
