We stayed with our 13 & 11 year old and had a wonderful time hotel amazing staff amazing. We had a family suite great kids get there own separate space with sliding door and also good toilet separate from bathroom. Kids happy loved games room which was great as old enough to leave them alone in there. Pool area was always clean and never seemed busy always beds available and free towels. Also nice touch free water juice pool side and also free water provided in room everyday. Only downfall with pool was it is seawater so had to buy swimming goggles with nose piece as it stung if the kids got in eyes. Also it was coldest pool ever been in even when sun been out all day struggles to get in never once got neck or head in. We went half board and food was amazing tried so many dishes couldn’t even pronounce and some unusual dishes. My 11 year old has sensory issues and is a really picky eater but there was fresh pizza and pasta so she was happy. Puddings where out of this world. Breakfast was also fantastic cereal pancakes waffles eggs omelettes lots of spicy sausages fruit even champagne and oysters and as much coffee as you like. I am addicted to the orange jam on toast and have ordered some online already. Kids entertainment was at the pool bar and not a lot else really happened there was more people sitting chatting every time we went but the Luna beach beats bars overlooking see was amazing and staff always so helpful particularly Luka I think he was called who introduced us to homemade orange jam Gin as we couldn’t find anywhere in Porec that did flavoured Gins or Ciders. They also had DJ or band on most evenings which was great. The hotel has its own sandy beach with loungers which was cute but always very busy. Warning about inflatables next to beach which are not part of hotel my daughter got stuck. She had a life jacket but when I asked a member of the staff who where not even keeping eye on what was happening if they could help they said no and that I would have to go and I am not a good swimmer. I then got stuck also after getting them out and had to be rescued by a stranger after 20 minutes of trying to get out. We walked into Porec town one evening which took about 25 minutes and got the train back which fills up quickly so be early to get a seat. We also visited Aquacolours water park which was a great day out. Overall the location is amazing not many bars mostly eating places but enough and just felt very calm and relaxed. We hope to return to with this or another Valamar hotel as this is the second one we have stayed and loved it.

Valamar Marea Suites fantastic hotel with beautiful see view and amazing staff! We had spend 11 days on family holidays with 8 year old and 4 year old . Hotel have to offer fantastic program for kids to make sure they never bored ( kids club, 3 swimming pools, disco, magic show, outdoor play area, soft play area, game room, room with table tennis , pool table , toys for small kids. They have small area for parents who have babies to prepare them milk , microwave, baby food . Hotel as welcome pack gave kids lovely soft toys and in the room was waiting for them Lego box to play during stay at hotel. Every night room service brought small sweeties to the room. All these small “things” make kids and parents happy and welcome. All staff ie restaurant, cleaners, kids club staff was so polite and helpful. Food was delicious. For us as a parents very important was how our kids will feel and spend time . We could leave them in kids club ( each child had a “passport “ with their basic details , parents contact number etc, name , language they speak . You could have drink or enjoy time outside swimming pool knowing your kids are safe and have great time too.) all access to the hotel from back side hotel had secure gates and only person who have a watch- key could open . This was secure enough to make sure little one didn’t escape to the beach. Sandy beach right next to hotel! Small beautiful town Porec witching 20 min walk or you could catch small train ( tourism attraction ) . Every morning we could see staff clean and desinfect sun beds, tables, clean very well hotel. Few places to change babies nappies ( some extra nappies, cream for customers to use for free) . A lot of small but how imported touches to offer to parents with kids! It was our 3 stay in Valamar hotel however first in Marea suites and we will definitely going to come back!

We stayed at the Marea Suites very last minute after a holiday to the balereacs was cancelled. The room was fantastic and the children loved it, their ante room was dark and quiet and the little touches like the included flip flops etc were lovely. The room was comfortable, quiet, spacious and dark. Although there is only one included option for dinner the food is good. The beach club is great although you have to book a space the day before and they go quickly. Unlike some hotels the kids club doesn’t need booking and can be used at no notice for as little or as long as required which is fantastic. We went for dinner on the island one night which was very special. The staff were helpful although not falling over themselves with friendliness, Covid perhaps?! All in all a great holiday, we will definitely book with Valamar again if we return to Croatia

We spent here a few days and were very satisfied with accomodation, food, pools and surroundings. Only one thing was new for us and didn’t understood why hotel makes credit card pre-authorisation of so much money, when we wanted to pay cash and now we’re waiting for the money to arrive back to our credit card account. We thought that we made payment (because money dissapeared from our account) and will not pay so much again by leaving hotel. I thing they should say about this to their customers and warn them before (maybe on their website), because many people don’t know what it means and they can be very suprised by paying.

We had a fantastic stay with our 4 year old and 6 month old. The hotel is so well equipped for those with children but still feels luxy enough for the grownups.
The room was great with a huge comfy bed and bathroom with both shower and bath. My son absolutely loved having his own separate space within the room, particularly as it had its own TV. There were so many little touches that showed they had really thought about families when designing the room. There was a fold down changing table, a full size cot (requested), robes and flip flops for the little ones and even steps in the bathroom so they can reach everything.
Outside of the room there are lots of facilities. On our floor there was a games room as well as a small kitchen equip with baby food, bowls, cups etc. The basement houses a gaming lounge which my son loved. There is also soft play, a playground and numerous pools. The beach is small but sandy.
The restaurant is large with lots of choice and a separate kids buffet. Although the food is good buffet style does get a bit monotonous by the end of your stay. Again babies are well catered for with plenty of highchairs, plastic bowls, disposal bibs and jars of baby food are available if required.
Our son loved the maro club and a special shout out to Kallie as she ensured my son had lots of fun.
There are plenty of sunlounders and cabanas by the pools and swim nappies are available if you forget them. Pool towels are also provided.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone considering Croatia.

I booked and paid a few days ago a tour to Motovun for my family and right before 1,5 hour before the departure at 9 am when we were about to go for an excursion we got a mail at the door that the trip is canceled. On my question why I was not informed at least the day before there was just one answer “I called the room”. That sounded weird, typically people spend their time out of the room being on sea resort. Of course, we were all at the beach, and they could reach out by cell phone or via email or leave a mail at the door. And this not a service that I expect from 5-star hotel (((((( As a result, we had totally broken plans for the day, we even didn’t have a sunbeds, because we hadn’t booked them. I was extremely frustrated as well as my kids especially older who is 14 and unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have activities for teens despite play stations although again I was convinced by reservation manager that there are a lot of organized activities for teens. It’s not our first experience in Croatia and got always a great service, but it’s definitely not in Valamar Marea Suites.

Nice hotel, not too big, just right for two small children (3, 0). Every step of the place is adjusted for baby stroller, inside and outside, very well equipped for children all ages. Tasty food, everything sparkling clean, friendly staff. All recommendations.

This resort is amazing. Check in was simple and easy, and the staff was all very nice and helpful. The resort did a great job sanitizing everything and keeping the hotel clean. We got an upgrade to a room with a swim up pool which was amazing although it was covered by shade and cold until about mid afternoon then we could use it. Pros: extremely family friendly. great beach. Delicious Buffet. Great room amenities. Attentive staff. Clean Pools/sitting areas. Cons: Only a few. I have to say the pillows were not comfortable at all. I used 3 and couldn’t get comfortable. Also (and this isn’t the hotels fault) but it seemed like there was only German and Austrians staying at the resort. All the staff speaks wonderful english but my kids were disappointed they couldn’t make friends because no one spoke english. I only heard german spoke all day, for 4 days straight. I was hoping there would be some english speakers to chat with and for my kids to hang out with. Unfortunately this is probably due to border and country restrictions

We had wonderful 11 days at the Valamar Marea Suites. Special thanks to Mladen and Luca from Luna restaurant. Daniel did a great job in the Gamecenter. Our daughter (7yrs) loved doing activities with the Maro Clubs staff Mario, Thea, Fillip, Marija, Sime and Maia. The hotel is so child friendly. Our daughter got a gift upon arrival and also a farewell present which she lived. The food was amazing, Mladen Always gave great recommendations for drinks. The whole staff was very friendly, always saying Hello with a smile. We had only one minor technical issue in the room but the staff took care of it immediately and apologized, which was highly appreciated. We will definitely come back!

Hi, there are some stairs down to the restaurant and to the beach, but they have access for wheelchairs too. In the surroundigs there is a promenade to old town of Poreč next to the sea, so you can go there for a walk or by a noddy train, parking in front of the hotel.
