We stayed here just for two nights but I wish it would be at least for a week. We loved the suite with a small garden and two sunbeds, comfy beds, big bathroom and lots of storage for clothes etc., perfectly working A/C. Unfortunately you can hear everything from the other side of the front door.
There are many different pools for kids and adults, animation program, kids club, game room…There is a stone beach in front of the hotel but I would recommend to go further to the Materada camp beach, that was a great spot with sunbeds for 30 kunas per each (the hotel doesnt provide any for free). We really enjoy the food, its a pity they offer only halfboard but there are many restaurants around the corner. If you are looking for kids friendly place I would recommend restaurant Willy.
What I didnt enjoy was the noise in the cafeteria, running children, people cutting lines… we even had a problem to find a place to sit. Also we had ants in our room but I assume its normal for “garden suite”. I was surprised by the overpriced pool bar drinks but lets be honest you didnt come here because its cheap… Inside tip: For check-in parking use ulica Spadici, its not well signed.

Amazing place. Well kept and maintained. Fantastic staff. I have coeliac disease and Vanessa and the catering team were amazing at making sure I was well fed. I didn't feel like a pest and even my daughter was jealous at the service I received. they were more than happy to make me pizzas, pasta and pancakes. My daughter even received a gift on her birthday which was a lovely surprise. Beautiful country. Comfiest bed too - didn't want to leave.

The hotel is new and everything is perfect here, close to the beach and only about 2km to the old town in Porec witch is a must to visit. No problem to walk there or take the Dotto Train for 15 kuna/pers, take about 5 minutes. We lived in an apartment (no kitchen) on the area with own garden place, can be recomended. U have to walk down to the breakfeast in the hotel, a walk on about 150m for the one farest away.
We also wisited Beredina caves on a trip from tui and it was beautiful! Cost about 340 SEK/pers.
Also rented a car for a day, 490 kuna for an Opel Corsa and that was a perfect way to experience Croatia. Took a visit to Rijeka, a trip on 1,5h.

I would like to begin with the positive aspects. First of all, the rooms are located in small newly built villas and are surrounded by a lovely garden. Two of us were pretty comfortable in the family room, however I can hardly imagine more guests sharing this room, even if it is a child. The beach with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas is close by, as well as a shady lawn for relaxing. There is a pleasant uncrowded promenade along the shore for the evening stroll. Unfortunately, now it is time to start with the numerous issues, that might mar your enjoyment of the whole stay. The service at the reception was extremely friendly, yet unacceptably slow. There were three of the staff present most of the time. One lady was always counting the money, another undoubtedly has a degree in the art of looking busy, so only one person was kind of working. The cleaning of the rooms has to be improved. It is done perfunctorily, if at all done. The entrance into the water on the beach is not safe. There are sharp slippery stones immediately when you enter the water, regardless whether you choose the stairs or the ramp. The food was average and it was not promptly replenished. The atmosphere at the restaurant did not appeal to me either. The inside lobby bar is cold and uninviting. Actually, it is not a bar at all, but a passage between the reception and the beach. Finally, the prices seem to be exaggerated. In July we paid 215 euro per night, in August 277 euro per night. Both prices per room with HB.

We were first time in Croatia and this has been one of the best holidays! Great place for families with kids, very clean and well maintained hotel. There are not many sandy beaches in the area though, but at the same time water in the sea is very clean.

We have booked two garden suites next to each other. Every apartment has a normal sized terrace and a garden. Everything was brand new and comfortable. The breakfast and a dinner was delicious and tasty. The beach is so closed, 2-3 minutes walk from the room. Of course it depends on where is your room, because it is a huge complex. The hotel has a beautiful garden and 3 swimming pool area. We will come back at the next summer. We loved this place! We can recommend for everyone.

We arrived at the hotel the day it opened and it is very beautiful, albeit turf was still being laid and finishing touches made. We were greeted by friendly staff but there was no explanation about the facilities and our passports were taken for the duration, which I didn't like. We also weren't given our welcome drink which was disappointing as we had been up since 2am to travel.
Our accommodation was a garden suite. It's a small ground floor apartment. It was very nicely refurbished with an extremely comfortable bed and modern bathroom. It also had a little garden and seating. It was helpful to have a separate room from our son too and a TV for both of us to relax for an hour or so before going out at night. The quality of our son's sofa bed was poor however and there was a huge gap at the back that he fell down a couple of times at night.
The food at the resort is served from a buffet. The quality of the food was excellent, but the setting was not. It was akin to feeding time at the zoo. Way too many people scrabbling for the same food, long queues and it meant eating separately most of the time and cold food. There are not enough drinks stations either. The hotel could have set up the same food station outside as inside and this would have helped, but only part of the food is replicated e.g. There is no tea outside and so if you go outside to get juice then you have to make a further trip inside for tea. It meant spending looks of time walking around looking for things. In the end we went out for 90% of our evening meals because we wanted to sit and enjoy time together as a family and in peace.
Re cleaning of our apartment, this was appalling. I have never known such a terrible standard. I complained in the end and the apartment was given a good clean once. Some days we would be left with only 1 large towel to share between 3 of us. A cleaner broke a glass in our room and just left it above our fridge. Given that I have a 5 year old this was just dangerous.
The Animation Team Leader, Davor, is terrific, 5 stars for him and made the holiday for us. He works so, so hard. He made our 5 year old so happy. Playing games, dancing and having a big smile on his face at all times. My son won certificates for winning games and loved learning the actions to loads of songs that Davor knew brilliantly. I did a couple of work outs with Davor too and he was super. I hope that the hotel management team reward his valuable contribution as he made our holiday.
What the hotel needs is:
1. A better set up for meals so that families can sit and eat together in peace. Reworking the outside food station would achieve this.
2. A gym or proper workout space for Davor to do his programme. Laying on the uneven grass in the boiling sunshine is no good.
3. Cleaning staff to be trained and supervised about standards for rooms.
4. More games in the daytime for children, as they are great, and Parents able to sign their children into kids club sometimes. The fact that you have to supervise your child when they are in kids club is pretty pointless.
To sum up, for what we paid for 2 weeks we felt that we got value for money and the kids pool animation team and staff generally made it great. We had a great family holiday. Had I paid anymore then I would have been unhappy, so would base any decision to book upon cost here.

Ufff... I thought to gave them 4 * but... So much things irritated you... Let's start...it is completely new resort, very nice...4 swimming pools...one is private, just for villas.
Staff is extremely nice, very polite and willing to help you. We came just few days after opening and it is noticeable that managment was not ready and they are passing "child disseas"... Hotel was completely full, so we get suite at the end of nowhere. Around everything were under construction, with garden workers and noises of garden machines. For that amount of money that was too much, so I have made complaint to hotel managment. They have admit their mistake, apologise and gave us appartment...but every morning around 7 o'clock gardeners start to work putting grass in front of appartments area...
In the restaurant you have to wait, they aren't ready for so many people. They are lacking in many things...no notice with the name of food, just some of them... Not enough people in the kitchen, so you have to wait on them to prepare you a food... I never seen so much lines on every steps... If you want a drink step in the line for at least 5 minutes...it is irritating... In 4* hotel you unexpected that...
It is much overpriced for the quality of service they provide it.
Did I mention that maid have not clean our bathroom for 3 days...towels were changed after 2 days when I complained at the reception desk... To get reception over phone was misdion impossible...
And at the end I have to wait almost one hour at check out while they are checking my payment with their central booking place at Plava Laguna...
What a mess, incredible at all ;)
There is a much better place for that price in Porec and at other places along the Croatian coast.

We a family of four visited the Garden Suites Plava laguna in August 2024. The facility is very well maintained. The staff was very friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day. The pool area was also very well maintained unfortunately the German royal discipline “reserve beds” was perfectly executed. Also the gym was great.
