I really don’t like to write reviews like this, but this place it pretty awful. While it is old, it is very outdated and rundown. The room just looks dirty. No AC or simple things like tissues. We would not return here. Also a totally clogged shower drain.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed here for one night after visiting the national park. The hotel is a short walk from the park exit. Our room was small but did have a balcony. There is no air conditioning but you don’t need it as the nights get very cold. The hotel is big and the dining room is one of the largest we have been to. The included meals were nice and the coffee very good. The bar area is a nice place to be after a day of walking and the bar staff very friendly and helpful. The gym is one of the best I have ever seen at a hotel. Highly Recommended !!!

We chose this hotel based on location - literally a minutes walk from entrance (2) of the NP, hotel stored our luggage whilst we explored the park. We booked on official website booked one of their half board packages which included park entrance- really good value for money dinner and breakfast was buffet and all very adequate and nice - don't expect gourmet and you'll enjoy, we loved the outside dining area was very beautiful scenery here. Rooms are warm as no AC but we knew this ahead of time and wasn't too bad as was only staying 1 night - we picked this hotel solely based on location for the park and was great for that for 1 night. Rooms are fairly outdated but clean and fine for all you need. We arrived by bus - bus stop entrance 2 it's a 10 min walk down a highway but there is a verge to walk we had backpacks so was OK for us and wasn't super busy on the roads. Overall if your main aim for the stay is to visit park I recommend staying here you are right at the entrance and can get started nice and early and close to bus stop if you are not travelling by car. All staff were really nice and helpful as well!

Hotel is super convenient for the park. Prob fine in offseason when it is not hot. During summer months and 90 degrees - it is miserable to stay here. No AC and no screens to open the balcony without letting in mosquitos. No fan in rooms either Time did an update to keep guests comfortable in sweltering hot summer months!

This is like stepping back in time. Basic, clean comfortable room with double beds and a basic bathroom. There is a balcony but many people smoke so we had to close the door many times. There is no air conditioning so I could see if it was hot the smoking issue could become serious. The food was basic good food and included in the very reasonable rate. There is a nice bar and outside patio area. This is walking distance to the park and had nice views. I would reccomdent staying to tour the park. It is one of the best bargains on our trip.

When you walk into Hotel Jezero, you step into a time warp directly back to 1972. This hotel looks like it would have been the best thing going 50 years ago, and it probably hasn't changed a lick since then. First, the good: front desk staff is attentive and helpful, and the rooms are spacious. Like, huge. The location also can't be beat, less than a five-minute walk from Entrance 2 to Plitvice Lakes National Park, which is of course why you're here. The good stops there. There is no AC in any of the rooms, and don't let people tell you that's not a big deal. There's no circulation either; when I went to the front desk to ask for a simple fan, I was told, "We don't have fans. We have fresh nights." Well, I left our windows wide open on a 58-degree Farenheit night, and our room was well over 80 degrees. I lost about a pound in sweat overnight...can't imagine what it would have been like in the dead of summer. The shower has great water pressure and temperature, but both the faucet head and the shower wall leaked horrifically. A 5-minute shower was enough to leave the entire bathroom floor coated in an inch of water. The dinner buffet looked disgusting, so we opted for the a la carte restaurant, which was not horrendous but certainly among the worst meals we had in Croatia. Breakfast buffet was below-average in quality. Average age of hotel guests appeared to be mid-80s. Here's the kicker: Would I stay here again? Honestly, probably. The convenience to the park can't be beat, and Entrance 2 seems like so much less of a cluster than Entrance 1. If you don't have a car, I don't think there's a better place to stay in the area without a huge transportation hassle. And that's exactly the problem. Jezero has folks hostage based on their location, and they take advantage of that with a hotel that doesn't appear to have been updated in about half a century.

Unfortunately Plitvice Lakes doesn’t have a great selection of hotels. If you can travel here for the day and then leave that would be best! The rooms here are very dated and smell damp, the bathroom shower was very high to climb into and splashed the entire bathroom. We didn’t have any towels upon arrival and had to call for some. The front desk staff were rude, when we asked about a shuttle to the bus stop we received attitude about the “700 meter walk”. While the walk isn’t necessarily fair, with suitcases and poor weather, the trek from the bus stop up stairs and across gravel to the hotel with no directional signage was challenging. We were lucky to find a lovely front desk worker the morning of check out who introduced us to the shuttle driver! Hurrah! The restaurant had great food and service, looks very high quality, but all guests arrived in casual gear. Seemed very odd to have a ‘posh’ restaurant in a hiking area that guests aren’t prepared to dress for. We didn’t use the sauna after seeing the room, our expectations were low unfortunately.

This lovely hotel is situated by the entrance gate to the park. The staff were quite busy but directed us to the ticket booth. We asked for a lake view and technically we did have a view from one corner of the terrace. However the room was very nice and the restaurant was lovely.

We spent one night here before our visit to the park. the best thing going for the hotel is its proximity to the park and its knowledgable and friendly staff. The room was small but adequate, the elevator didn't always work so we had to take our suitcases up the stairs.

Before you consider staying at any hotel in a national park, you really need to have practical expectations. I have stayed in several hotels in national parks in the US. I am sure that there are a few that are high-end (perhaps in Yosemite Valley?) but for the most part, in my opinion, they are usually comparable to a good motel. You are paying for location and convenience. You shouldn’t expect the Hilton or Sheraton. My review is judging Jezero Hotel in comparison to other national park hotels not hotels in big cities (for example, I stayed in Hilton Canopy in Zagreb and paid the same price as Jezero Hotel but it was an incomparable experience). Jezero is what you would expect out of an average national park hotel. Dated but well maintained. The room was small but had a nice balcony (that looked out into the parking lot but still large and a nice addition to the small room). My biggest complaint was the lack of outlets. There were none by the bed. There was one by the desk and one on the wall adjacent to the bed. This wasn’t convenient because we wanted to charge our phone while we slept and also plug in a cpap machine. We did not do lunch or dinner (Restoran Degenija, about 10-15 mins away was nice. We originally wanted to go to TC Marko but it was unexpectedly closed) but had a very satisfying breakfast which was included in the price of the stay. This hotel is a 2 minute walk to entrance 2 (make sure you buy entry tickets for that entrance! Entrance 1 is at least 25 mins away by foot, 10 mins driving). You need to buy entry tickets on your own but the hotel can extend your ticket without charge beyond the first day.
