Staying at this hotel. Twin room, lovely views of the river.
I have to say I’ve never had service at breakfast like it. Pavica is tremendous and a young guy in glasses are both very attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
Could do with kettles in the room, but this might be a croatian thing!

The hotel is situated in the heart of Osijek, with a nice view on the city or the river. The structure is modern, though not the latest style amd equipments are installed. The rooms are designed to satisfy functional needs, and that’s what they do, without extremes in good or bad direction. The breakfast offers local tastes, you can have a good first meal of the day. A good choice in Osijek to stay here.

The room we got was really nice, renovated recently. We loved our weekend there. Went to welleness two times and both times we were alone. Very clean. Small. 5 people is already too much. The breakfast was Ok. The food at the restaurant also ok, not impressive. But we were allowed to bring our dog. And this is where they had us. It is a good hotel, would reccomend.
Some renovations of the rooms is still to be done...

After checking in and going up to the floor where our room was located we noticed a lot of trash and dirty dishes outside of the rooms in the hallway. Room was not vacuumed as there was hair on the carpet. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room. We killed more than 15 stink bugs (rhaphigaster nebulosa) and there were at least a dozen more in the room. We decided to go to the reception and ask for a new room as this is the most expensive hotel in Osijek and we're not supposed to pay a premium price to get a dirty room. The receptionist was very kind and gave us a new room after which we went to the new room and noticed it was also filled with stink bugs. We decided to go to the reception once more and this time receptionist went with us and tried to find us a new room that was clean and without bugs. We went into 4 more rooms with him and all of them were filled with stink bugs and were dirty. After days of traveling, we were really disappointed that we had to leave the hotel at 2 in the morning while being far away from home.

Dear Mr Grbesic, We highly value all forms of guest feedback as an opportunity to continually improve our services and facilities for our guests, which is why we are concerned to learn that your experience fell short of your expectations. Thanks to our hardworking housekeeping team we hardly ever get any complaints about cleanliness of our hotel, so we are very surprised to read about our rooms as filthy. We thoroughly clean all our rooms because we want to provide flawless service to our guests, and we believe that other guests reviews assure that as well. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances and situations occur, like the appearance of mentioned bugs looking for shelter from the cold. We are working on a solution for that in accordance with the environment, even hiring additional staff to help us keep our hotel bug free. If you ever decide to actually stay in our hotel we can assure you we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Kindest regards, Sandra Čolić

Looks can be deceiving!! This place looks like a 5 star hotel and wants you to believe it’s a 5 star like hotel but it’s not. The staff has a real attitude. They really hate to be bothered with any inquiries and act as if they are barely tolerating you when you ask a simple question. When I asked if they had a business rate they acted as if I was asking for 7 nights free!!! They sternly said NO! Only if I “had contact”. Ok. So guess if I knew the right guy then automatically 50% off. The walls r paper thin! For nearly 300€ night this place is not worth it. U can get a much better place in Dubrovnik for half the price. It’s sad because Osijek is a beautiful city but they don’t have any tourists so they don’t know how to act or price for that matter. As a travel consultant I would never recommend them to my clients!!!! Try harder and drop the attitude sweeties!!!

Dear Stephenie, We are very sad to read your impressions of our hotel. Most of our guests’ reviews praise our staff for being very kind and attentive, therefore we are disappointed to hear your impressions are so opposite. Regarding the business rates, a “contract” is required, not a “contact”. We are truly sorry we weren’t able to meet your expectations. Respectfully, Sandra Čolić, Marketing and Sales Manager

Do not let them put you on a lower floor. If they do, run, do not walk, to another hotel. Lovely hotel EXCEPT...we had a room on the first floor, right above a party(?) on the mezzanine right below us. The band could have been playing in our bathroom, and it would not have been louder. I stewed about it but read until 11 pm. They stopped playing, and I thought, well that's reasonable. I dozed off and then WHAM! At 11:15 they started playing again. Surely, they would stop at midnight, I thought. At 12:15 am, I called the desk to complain and was told they were to stop at midnight and the management would see that they wrapped it up soon. At 1:00 am, the band was still going strong. I called the desk again, and really unleashed my ire. I was told then that there were still 30 people at the party, and that the band would play until everyone left (?!). At 2:00 am, we asked to be moved to another room. At 2:30 am we moved to the 11th floor. I finally fell asleep about 3 am. I would have gotten more rest if I had slept in my car in the parking lot. I forgot what I paid for the room, but the hotel really failed to deliver what a traveller expects...a place to sleep. When we checked out, nothing was said to us by way of apology or partial compensation for a wasted night. I hope this review helps you and helps the management.

We took a long weekend trip to Osijek in Croatia. This became possible when Ryanair started to offer cheap (ish) flights and we took the opportunity of visiting the town and staying in the Hotel Osijek - A four-star hotel overlooking the river Drava. We had a spacious room on the 12th floor with wonderful views over the small harbour and the river Drava itself.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and the room has very good facilities. Perhaps the best feature of the hotel are the attentiveness, politeness and friendliness of the personal. They all speak English and go out of their way to respond to requests.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, but ate frequently at lunchtime and in the evening in the hotel's restaurant. The menu is extensive, the food is very good and reasonably priced including the wine. Again, the service from the waiters is very efficient.
The town itself has some interesting features with an old Turkish section. There are many leftovers from the Balkan war that occurred during the early 90s. Many buildings have been replaced or repaired, but there still are many suffering from the after-effects with a multitude of bullet holes in living accommodation premises and extensively damaged larger buildings.
During the day it's a very busy but calm town with easy & cheap transport on the frequent tramway system. Their are a number of museums and information centres to visit as well as plenty of street cafes and snack bars alongside a number of restaurants. It is a lively place during the evening with many young & older people sitting in / outside the cafes , but the atmosphere is of a very friendly and harmonious setting and we observed no problems whatsoever.
We can recommend a short trip to visit this town with a great deal of history - from the former Austro-Hungarian empire through to many years of it being part of former Yugoslavia and it's ultimate breakup into the separate states which this town is in one (Croatia). The flight is just over two hours from Stanstead and the airport is 20 minutes from the town centre. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.
Other plus points about the Hotel >> free wifi, free Sauna & Gym!

Like my title is saying - if you are going to Osijek you have to stay at Hotel Osijek! It's such a lovely hotel with great staff, rooms and food!
I was staying at the 8th floor and the view from there is amazing! I had the view at the town. And on the other side is river Drava. On the last floor they have gym, jacuzzi and sauna and it is really relaxing there.
Staff from the hotel is really great! Every single one who works there, from the recepction to restaurant and cleaners. They are all really nice.
And the food in the restaurant is just great!

It's allways a pleasure to come here in this hotel. The rooms are big and the location is good. I found that prices are a bit high for the season because it's not high season so I didn't expect almost 100€/night

Dear Guest, thank you for you inquiry. A part of our staff speaks German but everybody speaks English.
