Keywords of interest here are cleanliness, very friendly ppl, big and cozy rooms and an eating space where you can get free tea and coffee 24/7. The whole place feels very warm and inviting. Definitely coming back here!

Have you ever been in a perfect place? If you think so, you should tray in here. It is a beautiful garden in place, rooms and lobby are very nice. But the best part of this hotel is people who work here. It was pleasure staying in Maksimilian. Thanks.

This may be a 3 star rated guest house but it has many 5 star features, like: the wonderful hosts Vlad and Yasmina; the historic and characterful old house; Vlad's carefully selected local wine and beers (loved the white wine, called something like 'silk ribbon'; the beautiful gardens and grapes fresh from the vines; tasty local meats and cheeses served...

We stayed here as part of my Intrepid tour of the Balkan region. Upon arrival,we were greeted warmly by Jasmina- owner and proprietor. We were made to feel at home, and invited to drink a shot of home made brandy (as is the custom in Croatia among friends) and was treated to a lunch of regional cold cut meats which were...

Vladimir and Jalenna were great hosts and provided local guided tour as well which was very good. The hotel is beautifully setup and food delicious. Guest room with very good local wines is a great extra offered and laundry facilities also available. Excellent bakery just a few doors away.

I stayed as part of Intrepid tour. Not as much to see and do in Osijek compared to Dalmatian Coast, and definitely not as touristy. However guesthouse was centrally located and walk able to Old City and restaurants. Accommodations were comfortable, albeit basic, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I especially liked the newly renovated wine...

I stayed at this Guesthouse as part of an Intrepid trip and have to say it was one of the nicest experiences of the trip. On arrival and after sorting out rooms, the hosts provided a beautiful lunch from all local produce. Rooms were lovely and clean, location is great in the old town, breakfast provided and laundry could be...

It all started bad. We had a malfunction in our rented car's engine, and it was Sunday. We managed to arrive to the city of Osijek and with the help of good old Tripadvisor arrived to Maksimilian's. It was love at first sight. Dolores, the girl in the reception (and, actually, every where..) received us and showed us the beautiful...
