We were accomodated in depedance Primorka (2☆); the furniture is terrible - at least 30 years old, just like the mattresses and the bathroom. No A/C (fan). It's clean though, the staff is polite and the food is great.

I was at this hotel in September 10. The hotel is a normal hotel for 2 stars nothing more to expect. It was quite, close to the sea (we even had a see view room which was great), rooms not to big, and services poor. They did not give us (me and my husband) a matrimonial bad, we had a double room with separated beds. On the other hand the food was excellent (we had breakfast and dinner included).

Stayed here for two nights in the first week of the European summer holiday season.
Positives: Good reception staff who spoke english well. Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast included. Free parking. Super close to the beach and walking distance from various restaurants. You can drink the tap water.
Negatives: Room was small. No air con in rooms. No lift so you do have to lug your bags up 3 flights of stairs at the most. No fridge in rooms. Breakfast was not entirely to my taste but plenty of options good cereal and omlette.
Overall not as terrible as many of the reviews suggest, the rooms get pretty warm but if you leave the widow open overnight is bearable. If you can't cope with the heat go elsewhere otherwise its ok.

Lovely location of this hotel is very old fashion from 1966 but is cute very Art Deco. The furniture is old but is what it is. The hotel was clean , the people working in there were nice and polite. Is near by the the beach and the airport. Has parking. Each room has a nice balcony. Does not have hairdryer, iron & iron board and mini bar maybe they provide for you if you ask.… this hotel has a great potential to be amazing if someone invest.

The hotel is located close to the waterfront.
The hotel is clean but the furniture is a bit outdated. Although they don't know the difference between a twin and a double room the furniture can be moved around easily. Our room overlooked the bay which is beautiful. There is no elevator but we didn't miss it.
We spent the evenings on the balcony which was great.
The meals were fine but the choice could have been wider although there is nothing to complain about.
The proper coffee is extra as everywhere else. The prices are generally cheap.

we were looking for a place to spend our last night in Croatia close to Rijeka airport. we arrived around 21:30 to ask for a price. the lady at the reception didn't speak any English, so I tried to talk Russian / Croatian which worked fine at a basic level throughout our stay in Croatia. however the lady kept on speaking German to me which I don't speak a word of, so the process of finding out the price took longer than usual. after a while she wrote 110 on a paper for me which seemed like a fair price even per person, as we paid 150-250 kunes in private rooms, so we decided to stay.

i guess the hotel is built during the Jugoslavia-time, very typical 70s style Soviet-like hotel, however, well-maintained. rooms clean with good bedlinen and (almost) everything inside functioning. however, it had an unpleasant omnipresent hospital-like smell of old building inside the rooms. during the night it was quite cold and i woke up freezing, but didn't find any extra blankets. also, the note for the summer-time - there is no AC in the rooms so I Imagine it can get pretty hot.

around 4 a.m. we were waken up by some drunk German-speaking teenagers running around, shouting and banging the doors. they would calm down for a while but then start again every 10-15 minutes which was quite frustrating, as it made it impossible to sleep. at 5:50 when I heard a Hoover outside the door I finally got up and went to the reception. the hall was completely trashed: a large chunk of a cement corner was knocked out, there was soil and parts of the plans everywhere, flower-pots were all around the floor... and one teenager was trying to vacuum all that away. i went to the reception and talked to a guy there, who said it was some drunk guests and he was sorry but couldn't do anything about it. that seems strange to me. if he couldn't leave his duty to calm the guys down and he didn't care that the guests didn't get any sleep since 4 a.m., wouldn't he care that the property is being destroyed? wouldn't it be a good idea to call the police maybe?

not being able to sleep we went to breakfast which was rather poor, but I guess ok for a two-star hotel.

the next surprise was waiting for us at check-out. we were told that the price was 388 kunes. so we went to a long discussion with the receptionist about the price of 110 kunes that we were informed the night before. he said such prices don't exist and he had no idea why the receptionist the night before had written 110 for us. we said all we have left was 250 kunes and we were not going to pay anymore, cos if we had known that price, we would have never stayed there. it took us a while to persuade him to call her. after the conversation he kinda calmed down, re-registered us to a cheaper room category and took 252 kunes, apologizing for the mistake made by the receptionist the night before.

all in all - I think that in Croatia it doesn't make sense to stay in bigger hotels - there are private rooms for rent EVERYWHERE, in every small village, which are much cheaper and better-kept!

We have been staying here one night as a overnight stay for another trip to the south of Croatia. The hotel is in such a state in which, however, does not make of ourselves better. It is not for demanding clients and also the corresponding the cheap prices. The service (not rooms) is in my opinion better than the 2 stars. Rooms are old with old furniture, slightly damaged but still functional. Room and bathroom are clean but smell a strange odor. Beds were hard but comfortable.
A separate chapter is food. Breakfast was the same every day but delicious. Dinner was very well prepared, tasty and has a good selection of dishes, and salads too. Desserts were pleasant refreshment. Drinks with dinner were purchased.
The staff was very nice, helpful, good language skills. People in the hotel postponed hotel imaginary one category higher.
The problem was the wifi, which was only in the reception and first floor.
Nice environment and surroundings of the hotel spoiled only view of the oil terminal, which is just opposite the hotel.

Can you give a 2 star hotel a 4 star review? This hotel knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything else which I respect. We arrived late without a booking and our first impression was that the receptionist was very inviting and humorous and promptly helped us check in for one night. We made our way to our room and after opening the door it quickly became apparent that there were no sheets on the beds. Is this normal for a 2 star hotel we asked ourselves? The answer was no and we apologetically got moved to another room by another friendly gentleman. Bare-bones, no TV, no a/c, simply a clean veneered box from the 70s with a nice balcony as a bonus feature. The hotel's consistency continued with the breakfast which I would award a solid 2 stars (out of 5). In contrast to the night staff, the waiters at breakfast were miserable androids serving rubbery scrambled eggs, coloured sugar juices and poor quality meat. It was all part of the 2 star experience which in the end was an enjoyable one.

Been there 7 nights, through a travel agency. Had a triple room, and paid for breakfast/dinner bufet.
Cons:
- barely speaking english staff
- poor service staff
- food is pre-cooked. Same breakfast options everyday, dinner the same.
- wifi only at reception, and bad signal
- small rooms with old furniture
- my bed was a sleeping couch
- 3 beds in a 18 sqm room
- no balcony or AC
- no elevator
- no free water/juice during dinner. Which makes me think that they salt dinner food on purpose to only buy drinks from their bar.
- not allowed to enter cantine with your own drinks

Pro:
- it's close to a small beach

This hotel service ruined my first experience in this beuatiful country. Will never come again here. 1/10 because they try hard to be a hotel.

It was actually better than most 2 stars hotels I stayed in. At first we received a room that had no balcony and was very small and had a smell of old furniture like it hadn' t been opened for years, although the panorama view was excellent. Then we noticed our toilet didn't flush so they imediately gave us another room (as it was late in the night). This one was more spacious, had a balcony, but still had some sort of smell, maybe from the cleaning lotions. Breakfast was typical continental, nothing much to say except the juices were horrible. As for the dinner, the food was pretty good, varied, every night we had something different (fish, chicken nuggets, fried or mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, etc), you could make your own salad (you had different type of vegetables, dressings, olive or sunflower oil, etc), as for the dessert the cakes were excellent, you also had yogurt, watermelon, pudding, fruit salad, etc The location it is good and bad at the same time. Good because it is very close to the beach and bad because it is so far away from any supermarkets (you have to walk about 15 min on a slope).
