Fantastic food, delicious local specialities, great service. Prices are affordable for quality you get. Very nice position – at the top of the hill where is Motovun city. Outside terrace doesn’t look like so attractive on first sight, with dated furniture which could be replaced with new, but still it was very nice and pleasant to have a lunch under...

In stayed in room 215 for a couple nights as part of a Rick Steves group tour. Some people got large rooms with wonderful views. Unfortunately I wasn't one of those people. My room had a very small window over the bed and another small window approximately 7 feet from the floor. However, the bed was comfortable (the pillows were...

A modern hotel embedded in the medieval centre of Motovun. The views from Motovun are excellent with the town high above the plain. We had the best meal of our holiday whilst in Croatia - highly recommended. The driving of the manager to bring us up to the hotel was remarkable - it should be noted you have to park...

This was our third visit to the hotel and we found it even better than before. Although our room was rather small for 2 people it had been refurbished recently and was well laid out so storage was adequate. We had a wonderful view from our room which was a bonus. We were on half board basis and had the...

We had one of the best laugh out loud moments of our trip. Christopher picked us up with our luggage at the lower carpark. after arriving at the Kastel hotel he unloaded our luggage and then snuck around the corner and popped up behind the desk with a hearty WELCOME to the Hotel Kastel. Reminded us of Faulty Towers. That...

We stayed here on our bike ride through Istra. Very nice room that was pretty good sized. Nice, modern bathroom. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. They even had scrambled eggs with truffles! Staff was disappointed we did not come here for dinner.

A good 15-minute brisk uphill walk from the carpark to get to the hotel at Motovun hilltop village. Modern room we had was compact but with a good size bathroom, good air conditioning - recently renovated. Numerous restaurants closeby with good views of the surrounding countryside. Car traffic access is limited to local residents.

Perched on the top of the hill in the middle of Motovun, with great views of the valleys around, this hotel is a very adequate place to stay. The rooms are small and basically furnished. The breakfast buffet is extensive and good. Dinners are adequate though not inspired. Staff is cheerful and helpful.

STayed with GF for one night here in Aug 2016. If you're staying at the hotel you can park half way up the mountain (on the street) which reduces your trek a wee bit. I think there is a shuttle which can take luggage, we were happy enough to keep outs. Motovun itself is small, but beautiful. The hotel is...

The only hotel in Motovun with a pool is set at the top of the town, just near the main square. It has 33 rooms, so it's not big, no massive tourism here. :-) The hotel offers the baggage service since it's really uphill and you're not allowed to go there by your own car (instead you get a parking...
