Super location for the beach, restaurants & central to town. We had 2 large rooms with a balcony, very comfortable beds, big bathroom with bath & shower, nice toiletries. Our sons’ room looked out over Biokovo, good air con temperature, however with ours being sea view we had full sun, too hot to sit out on the balcony & the room never fell below 27c - we did tell reception but they just advised to keep curtains closed. Great selection of breakfast items - last few days both hot drinks machines were broken but the staff had coffee & small jugs of hot water, so not a major problem - plenty of juices/water on offer. Pool opens at 8am but people still waiting to put towels down from 7am when breakfasting - quite comical! With being so close to the sea, we found that people were putting towels etc on pool loungers then nipping down to the sea - not fair for others wanting to use the outdoor pool - we went to the indoor pool which was often deserted & by 4pm we were sometimes lucky to get 2 loungers outside - outdoor pool closes at 6pm & the staff were keen to stack the loungers by 6.30pm. Indoor pool open til 8pm - you have to pay extra for the sauna. Kettle in room but the coffee/tea sachets were never replenished - get them at breakfast - no milk or coffee whitener - the staff wanted to charge us €1.50 for half a cup of milk so we could make a drink in the room. Check your mini bar & tell reception if all items are not there on arrival - we took photos, as they tried to charge us at check out. You can’t keep your own things in the room fridge so we just made sure we didn’t have anything in when they cleaned the room (only needed towels changing once) as there were 6 towels.

Hotel Park is in a great location. We had a lovely sea view. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We were bed and breakfast only. It was an nice walk to the old town or there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by in a range of budgets. We ate at the hotel restaurant close to the beach, Po & Po. It has lovely view and the food was excellent on both occasions.

May 2023 My wife and I stayed in the Park Hotel for a week as part of the Sunway group tours which is led by Frank Mackin. I have to rate this Hotel very highly and one of the best we have stayed in during our extensive travels over Europe. The Staff were very friendly and efficient and a nice young man in reception helped me sort out a problem with my iPad which I greatly appreciated. Nothing was to much trouble and you only had to ask for advice.
While the weather was bad and during our day trips they gave us umbrellas which we returned back to them after our outings. The room was exceptional with a sea view and the lifts were very fast going up and down and we stayed in the forth floor in room 401 which was large with walk in shower facility also. Very comfortable bedroom all round. The food was a buffet choice and a great selection of choice which was replenished quickly.
Despite the bad weather we were very pleased with out stay and would highly recommend this outstanding Hotel and the area around it has a lovely walks with lots of restaurants and souvenir shops along the sea shore.
My compliments to the Management and Staff who made our stay most welcome. Read less

I haven't done many reviews recently but I feel the need to do a review on this hotel as I think there are some significant issues people need to be aware of if they are thinking of booking. The positives: location is good Breakfast was ok with plenty of choice but the hot selection wasn't very warm The room we had was very quiet
The negatives: The pool area. If you want to sunbathe choose another hotel. There are beds (but not many parasols) and unless you are stood waiting for them to unchain the beds at 8am you stand no chance of getting one. There were a lot of people reserving a bed and not turning up until mid afternoon despite the sign which said things would be removed after 20 minutes. This didn't happen and when someone raised this with the staff he got a shrug of the shoulders and "what can we do?" The hotel do have a section of private beach where you can hire a sunbed for 10 euros a day but there are no parasols and it is very crowded. There was no food available at the pool bar as the chef was apparently off sick. The rooms are carpeted but the carpet was very heavily stained it was very off putting although the rest of the hotel was clean. The beds were very hard and the pillows past there best. There was supposed to be tea and coffee in the room but there was no milk when I enquired I was told they didn't provide any. There were also only mint tea bags Overall it was an OK holiday but I wouldn't return and if I had understood the issues around the pool I wouldn't have booked in the first place.

This hotel is perfect! The views are stunning so book a sea view room which are very spacious with a sofa and chair to relax on. The bathroom is also large with a decent shower over the bath. No need to bring toiletries as they provide rituals products. Pool towels can be got from reception for 100hrk deposit and you can replace for a clean one every day. Breakfast was served from 7-10 and had everything that you could want. The staff are all incredible and super friendly and they work so hard. There are plenty of restaurants just outside the hotel and town is a 10 minute stroll into town! Book this hotel…. It’s fabulous and we will return!

Lovely clean hotel, buffet style dinner and breakfast, food Lovely as well, I only give it 4 stars because of the sun bed fiasco! If you want a sun bed by the pool ( which isn't as large as depicted in photos) be prepared to stand guard early doors to get said sunbeds which are under lock and key until released! We did manage to get sunbed on 2 occasions only by chance! Also could do with something to put wet items on to hang on balcony, Staff Lovely...perhaps one or two could do with smiling a bit more! Bur overall a lovely hotel...would definitely return again..and reccomend...apart from the sunbeds!

No welcome drink but I mean can’t be too fussy after a 1hr 45min coach journey.
We had a side sea view on floor 3. Room was beautiful, spacious and clean.
We headed to the pool where we could clearly see a sun bed issue. Again didn’t bother us haven’t come on my holidays to fight over a plastic chair.
Next morning we went down for breakfast and I haven’t seen anything like it. People were standing with their towels over the railings by the pool. And when the guy came to unlock them (as they get chained up at night) well it was like supermarket sweep!
Anyway, we chose to pay the €10 a bed at the beach. As I didn’t fancy spending my days with those sort of folk.
Beach is incredible. Clear waters. And well kept.
The plus side of this beach belonging to the hotel should be the sun beds are free to hotel guests. But after the pool incident I reckon there’s a good reason for that 🙈
Food at the bar was nice, we had a club sandwich the one day, wrap and salad the next.
The hotel is situated on the promenade. This needs a little system in place because it’s a free for all with scooters/bikes people just going in whatever direction they please 😂 and they just stop smack bang in the middle and ponder. Brilliant to watch but it was heaving with people.
We had a comment made by a waiter at the local bar who informed us English people don’t tend to come here in the summer months as it’s high season. We were a little deflated as we work in education we have no choice but it didn’t spoil our stay in Makarska.
Things I’d recommend:
***Beach shoes***
•Boat trip to Jelsa and Bol. €50 each including lunch, water and wine.
•Restaurant Mlin
•Lemon Garden
•Pad Thai in the old town

The hotel is located in a very convenient location . Room was clean and very generous in size and proportions . The only downsize is the accessing the pool deck lounges in the morning and if you don’t get to them before or right on 8.00am then your access will be zero. Also the prepayment of 20 euro for each beach towel is excessive . Other than that a good Orion if you are considering staying in this location . Breakfast choice is plentiful anc included in the price

Very good hotel which is spotlessly clean. Friendly a professional staff. This air conditioned hotel is in a perfect location and you can walk to he Harbour in approximately 15 minutes.
The pool is not a swimming pool really. On the small side (the photographs on the website are deceptive). The early morning scramble for sun beds is the only way to acquire said beds and the number of people who then leave towels on them and disappear for hours are numerous.
We enjoyed our stay.

Very unfriendly and unfriendly, definitely not recommended! The rooms are much too small for the price. Breakfast isn't great either and the staff leaves a lot to be desired! If you want a relaxing, lovely holiday, you can get it much cheaper in private accommodation nearby.

Hello, thank you for your questions, there is no entertainment in hotel, no live music, or children facilities.
There is a lot of bars in resort where you can find it during the high season (July, August). Best regards!
