The rooms are with poor old equipment with refridgerator, fan and an old TV, but service is good. The location is very nice - it is situated in gentle slope next to the sea/beach with pebbles. In whole hotel area there are pines and olive trees, squirrels are jumping from pine to pine and you can relax under the trees. There is children playground, table tennis, minigolf as well. Along the beach to Makarska there is promenade to the town (about1,5 km). The best thing is to pay for halfboard - meals and buffet is really great.

Me and my wife were visiting this hotel several time from 2011 until this year and we doubt we will comeback again until something new happens with this hotel. I will divide my review into cons and pros. CONS: - Nothing is really changed in terms of hotel facility from 2011 but only price went up; - Rooms still do not have A/C, which is unacceptable for current price of this hotel! It was like in avern during our stay! You can find hotels and villas with similar or even lower price on Makarska riviera. offer A/C; Instead they offer basic fan, which was in our case broken! - Bed was so short (i'm 1,88m tall) and my feet were always out of bed (which is also not that comfortable); - During our stay, room cleaning staff avoided put two hand/face towels for two of us, they were always putting just one. Even after we complaind and promised to get two towels, we still didn't get it; - Also, room cleaning staff didn't replace bedding during our whole stay; - And another unpleasent surprise from the room cleaning staff - they were in our room on the day of check-out on 8,45AM, when check-out time is 10,00AM; - In the restaurant, we had to sit with another guests of the hotel, meaning sharing the same narrow table. This was so unacceptable because there was enough space and tables so everyone could get their private table. And for the high price of 2 star hotel, you also need to sit and share table with strangers; - The dinner was not so good and it was repetitive; - The lady with glasses in the restaurant was so rude, she was always in a bad mood and unviling to help. If you ask her something, she always had some ironic comment; - I don't know what you need to do to get sea view or first line depadanse room; - Everything in and around hotel is suited only for Czech and Slovak guests, so if you are not one of them, this hotel is not for you and hotel staff will not care; - It's difficult to find parking spot, parking in general is not organized good; - Main building toilets are being cleaned during beach time, so my wife had to go all over to her room to use toilet; - Hotel beach is crowded and there are guests who leave their beach towels in shade of pine trees over night, which is prohibited, but hotel staff didn't care about it; - And again, high price for 2 star hotel and what it offers for non Czech and Slovak guests. PROS: - Nice location; - Balcony in almost every room; - Fridge in the room; - Nice breakfast; - Waiters in the restaurant are kind and polite (unlike the lady with glasess); - Beach is nice; - Animation team (even it is all suited for Czech and Slovak guests). To sum everything up, they have to offer more for this price or to lower the price. And to put effort to satisfy all guests, not just those from Czech and Slovak republic. If something doesn't change in the future, this was our last stay in this expensive 2 star hotel.…

Food is very good (we had breakfast and dinner). Rooms are old but very clean. They have been cleaned on daily basis. Clean towels every day and once in a week new sheets. It is located on the beach which is great.

The hotel has 2 * categories but it deserves much more. It consists of 6-7 pavilions, restaurants and reception, in pine forest and has direct access to the beach. Within the complex there are basketball courts, small football, table tennis, various activities for children. The whole complex is like a large park, extremely tidy and clean with a lot of squirrels and various bird species. Parking is included in the price and is located in front of each facility in the complex. Wi-Fi is very good and there is no interference in the use of. Rooms are spacious enough, with a balcony and everything is neat and very clean. Every day you get new towels and once a week the new bedding. In the bathroom you always have soap, shampoo and shower gels .... hotel package. The food is excellent, you are served with the buffet. The choice is varied and you have a choice drink at dinner. The beach is right next to the hotel complex and the sun beds are charged. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this hotel and I'll be back again…

Booked room at last minute and was expecting an apartment but found that it is apartment buildings with many separate rooms. Room was ok but very hot as there is no air conditioning. The bathroom is very small and outdated but was clean. The tap handle in the basin was snapped off and not repaired. It was a double room but the bed was 2 singles pushed together. Our room had a balcony but some don't but I am glad we did so we could escape from the heat of the room in the morning. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the location is very good for the beach and the many restaurants along the promenade. All in all it was adequate for the price during peak season.

Are you kidding? No A/C not an issue? Maybe for most on you, reading the review are from people from Slovakia and Bosnia. A North American will never tolerate, physically this nuisance. Its september and temperatures are still over 30 Celsius!! I was in a rush late last night and i booked without reading or rather not noticing it doesn't mention A/C. So i booked. Got a late checked in, missed the ferry and there was not other option for me but to stay here. It is only 10 pm and i am at the 3rd shower and dripping sweat on my iPad writing this. If you are used to N.American standards....dont even come close to this place. You will be breaking a hard sweat by the time you'll make on the 3rd floor with no elevators! Location is not great either. Even with a GPS is hard to drive into it. Trivago and Booking.com advertise it as 0.5 km from centre...well...hate to break the bad news...it is much more that this. It is a budget 3 stars complex, very old from the communist era, there is no comfort for the average traveler. The restaurant is a mess hall, fixed menu, you eat it whether you like or not. Take my word for it. Keep searching. I have many reviews, i am a diligent and unbiased traveler, this is the very first Terrible rating, sorry for that but it is very fair.…

Due to it's location the beach is less crowded, quiet, and with a stunning view of Biokovo! The complex has got a big, shady garden, with boccia, bowling, chass playing facilities. The accomodation is quite basic, but clean, and the family rooms has got fridge, balcony, and wifi. The food was beyond our expectations, do not forget, this is a ** star hotel! The dinner was a' la carte, you can choose from 4 meal options day in advance, the dinner comes with one glass of wine / or soft drink / mineral water! The staff was nice, and polite. Great stay for families, with beautiful surroundings, Makarska is just wonderful.

We spent last week of August 2014 in this hotel and have very good time.Position of hotel is good regardless that it is bit far from Makarska center because beach close to hotel are match better and less crowded. Accommodation is modest however good enough, fridge and LCD TV in the room is very convenient also WI-FI coverage is very good (in the room). All the staff receptionists,cleaners ,waiters are very polite and friendly .There is good animation team and program and that was something what I did not expect at all for this type of hotel and price! All sport activities mini-golf, table tennis, basketball,football etc are available all the time and free of charge - also very surprising ! All together in compare with similar places (2 * Hotels) in Basko Polje or Baska Voda match match better.…

The whole complex is divided into several sections where you can find simple 2 floors boxy buildings with the rooms. Some rooms are with the balcony, some are not (depends on the price). Room was nothing special, old looking. But as I was not expecting much I was not feeling disappointed. Small fridge was nice surprise. Beds were fine but I would prefer harder mattress. Wardrobe with hangers inside was a bit musty. No AC in the rooms. Restaurant on the first floor (in the same building as reception) was spacious and fine. You got a seat number during the whole stay to make sure everyone has one. So sometimes you can end up with weird people behind one table (fortunately not our case). Buffet breakfast were tasty with usual choices. For the dinner you had to choose from 3-4 meal options day in advance. But sometimes it took ages to get ordered meal (especially during the rush hour when restaurant was pretty crowded). But I must admit staff was really handsome :) Everyone can join small party every evening (mostly for older people or families with kids) There are also possibilities to enjoy sport activities such as golf, ping pong, tennis etc. in the complex. Whole area is covered with olive and pine trees (really calm atmosphere) and it is right next to the beach (but you better walk few minutes to the right to enjoy more beautiful beach). Location is good but it is a little far from the historical center and dock (15 mins by walk). Anyway view of massive Biokovo mountains was enough for me :) Owner of the hotel is organizing (once per week) special dinner for the guests where he serves fresh seafood. Staff was performing small show (march) with the candles so whole event had occasional atmosphere.…
