A so called SUPERIOR DOUBKE ROOM is a storage cupboard with cots and Audio Visual kit in the corner. Of course the manager was not available. On checkin the receptionist eventually was found but could not find our room - evidently as it was a storage cupboard. Having a loss of a young one, needless to say this was deeply offensive and upsetting not to mention taking my money for a premium product. Thankfully one night only

I have spent here 3 nights and have received full service, as expected.
But their hospitality and genuine care for guests, positive attitude and friendliness went far and beyond the point of work. Especially in this difficult situation, when most hotels are closed and guests need some consolation.
I have booked stay breakfast inclusive. Food was fresh, continental style, but included local specials as spicy salamy, or ham and eggs with homemade stile ham and cheese. Hot drinks were available all day and although as self service, there were always someone ready to prepare it for me.
I can recommend this place for good service.

Good location next to a park and on the bank of a river. Easy to find. Parking in front of hotel. Room was clean and comfortable; staff were pleasant and efficient.

My dog was welcome to join me for dinner in the outside part of the restaurant. I arrived late and the kitchen would normally have been closed, but they remained open for me.

I brought q large group od retirees to lunch, the plate of gulaš was nothing in quantity. Everybody who eats gulaš was still hungry. If you want to stay hungry , then you can go there. I was in the summer 2021 and never again. Retirees said chicken is fine for them, but gulas they save ingredients an quantity in general. The štrudle was also ok but the staff was confused.

If you are looking for peaceful weekend break this is place for you. Very professional and pleasent staff. Great cuisine, surprisingly rich breakfast. Staff is fully respecting epidemiology written measures. Mask is always on, and so is the smile. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great view on river on one side and on green park on the other.

The Korana Srakovcic is a charming, 15-room hotel in a lovely park beside the Korana River. The rooms are generously sized and comfortable, the restaurant among the best in the area.
The hotel's Karlovac location is an excellent base for a visit to the sublime Plitvice Lakes National Park. The drive to the Lakes - - 50 or so miles - - is easy and beautiful, and the Korana is world's better than the drab park hotels filled with bus tourists and cigarette smoke.

Very insolent owner/ manager and part of the staff (owners family), noisy ventilation, sleepless night - this put a big shadow over peacefull and beautifull location and building.
Having a holiday is about nice people, not about nice buildings. I DO NOT recommend spending your money there!

I dont understand how this hotel could have been awarded in the past. A rude receptionist. I had to change a room, which had broken air-conditioning, in spite of that was sold at a standard price. The unbearable noise from the broken air-conditioning was so big, that nobody could have been able to sleep there, but the receptionist did not want to solve it. We felt like in a machine room a a big ship, but nobody did not care. No one of the 2 waiters did not greet us, and a bold headed waiter nearly hit my wife when walking around the receptionist desk. The second room had a non-sealing door, when we closed it a bizzare noise like from a ghost film appeared, because the door was broken. After hard night we had been woken up at 7 a.m., because hotel workers decided to use a jackhammer for refurbushing the floor. Never more this hotel!
Breakfast - rotten fruits, probably from the previous day breakfast - guest can be fooled in many manners :)
Rooms were the same, just the tables i front of the doors tried to andimpose us it should be a boutiqe hotel, but as I said before guest could have been fooled in many manners :)

The hotel is in a beautiful location and has a lovely terrace and restaurant. The staff were polite and professional, the wifi was good, the bed was comfortable and the parking was very easy. Unfortunately the breakfast was poor considering the price for the room, the food and drinks are all done on the cheap which is a real shame.
There has been a lot of money spent on the the furnishings, design and infrastructure, it is just disappointing that the customer focus doesn't quite match up to the undoubted quality of the hotel, with a little more effort the hotel could be exceptional

Everyone knows the vegan supremacy is taking over the planet and that chef seems to well aware of that fact. The boy from the reception told me in the elevator with excitement in his voice that the vegan food the chief cook does, was "out of this world". He got me right there. Booked a big room with a perfect river and then the best dinner of our trip followed a "quenelle" in the room. Alone on the terrace overlooking the river we were served truly divine vegan food and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! Very nice place. The ladies in the morning at the breakfast buffet seemed to have smoked some bad weed the other day or it was because the bitcoin went down, I don't know, but they were not so friendly. Still I will highly recommend anyone to stay here!
