Villa Petricic is lovely. Petric is such a lovely and accomodating man. He picked us up from the ferry port in his very old car and drove us to the apartment. First thing was first, we had to meet his dogs! He had an old dog and a young puppy but if you didn't like them he would lock them away so they didn't come near you. When you entered the apartments there was a communal kitchen with self-catering facilities and a large fridge. Our room had air con but you had to pay an additional supplement to use it, but the fan in the middle of the room on the roof was free. The decor was typically croatian, but lovely! And as for the view... it was amazing. You could see several of the islands from the balcony, and sit and have a drink whilst watching the sunset and the massive millionaire boats sail past.
There's a local super market 5 minutes walk from the apartments, and to get into hvar town it's approximately a 15 minute walk. It is downhill, so coming back can be quite tough, but worth it because it's lovely scenery on the walk down.
The beaches really aren't typical beaches in croatia. You can find your way down to the shore front in about 5 minutes, however the sun beds are placed on rocks! There is a shingle beach area approximately 10 minutes away from petricic's which is much better but tends to get quite busy in summer!
Overall, highly recommend. Petricic is a lovely host :)

We had a lovely 4-night stay at Petricic's Pension in Hvar. Everything we could possibly need was at a fingertips - 24/7 access kitchen with all the amenities just outside our room. Modern, spotless double-room with a small fridge for added convenience, satellite TV, loads of hooks, closet and drawer space, bedside reading lamps, clean though small ensuite bathroom with shower, towels provided, and a beautiful view from the small terrace overlooking the offshore islands of the Hvar coast. Mr. Petricic was wonderful - pick up and drop off even at a ridiculous hour of the morning! Two small markets a stone's throw away was convenient daily visit for juice, fruit, yogurt, eggs and made-on-the-spot salami and cheese sandwiches. However, for only a few Euro more you could opt for the wonderful homemade breakfast spread prepared by Mrs. Petricic. The only drawback was a 10-minute walk to the town but it was well worth it and great exercise along a safe and quiet downhill slope! Stay at Petricic's and you won't be disappointed!

We stayed here for just 2 nights during our visit in Hvar and it was one of our most amazing experiences in B&Bs.
We were with a car and it was a little hard to find it. The street where the B&B lies is one-direction, so we had to drive around for some time until we’ve found it after asking for information to a nice lady in the same street.
Mr. Petricic was amazing and very helpful. He welcomed us very attentively, with his two dogs: Aryx and “the Little Dog”. The dogs are calm, don’t worry about them. He also explained a lot to us about the island and the town. Our morning conversations during the breakfast were very delightful and interesting. He told us a lot about Croatia and Hvar history and places. I really miss them now.
The breakfast was very well-served, with plenty of choices, all homemade by his nice wife. The jams were specially delicious.
The apartment was simple and spacious with a comfortable bed. There was a TV with plenty of foreign channels: We’ve even found Portuguese and Brazilian(!!) channels, which we thought it would be very hard to find in Croatia. There were a lot of books and magazines as well. We shared a kitchen with another apartment, so if we wanted, we didn’t need to go to a restaurant or to have asked for the extra-breakfast. The greatest thing about the apartment is the view: both day and night views are beautiful. Don’t lose it.
The B&B is uphill and it takes some minutes to walk to the main square. The nearest restaurant is Villa Dinka, I think.
Well, everything was perfect in our stay there: host, views, food, Hvar itself… Really good! We intend to return in the future.

Stayed here for three nights and have to echo everyone's comments. The lodging facility is up the hill about a 15-20 minute walk from the ferry. Mr. Petricic will come and get you or for a small fee, taxis can take you up. We stayed in Apartment 1 which had a nice room with bath and balcony. A communal kitchen is shared by four rooms. And the view........million dollar all the way! It was nice to be in a neighborhood as opposed to the very busy Hvar town itself. If you want a quieter beach, Mr. Petricic can direct you to where the locals go in Bay Mala Garska. Very peaceful and safe place to with a decent place for lunch. For a decent meal without walking into town, try Vila Dinka, located next to Hotel Amfora.

My friend and I stayed here in July for 4 nights, the room was ideal with ensuite, balcony, TV, air con, fridge, shared kitchen with all amenities. Mr Petricic the owner is such a lovely man, he picked us up from the bus station with no charge, provided breakfast for us each morning on the main balcony and even shared some history of Hvar with us. He and his wife have 2 dogs, they are very friendly but Mr Petricic will put them indoors if you're not keen. The house is a 2 minute walk from the supermarket, 10 minutes walk from hula hula bar and a 20 minute walk from the main port where most of the restaurants are situated. I would definitely stay here again, it's unbeatable value for money and is so clean and comfortable. You would be crazy to stay elsewhere!!

As said before, Villa Petricic is great to stay in. Apartment was lovely, it had everything I needed and it was perfectly clean. I'm not even wasting my words on the view from the balcony (which I very much enjoyed) - it's a ***** view. Location is good, just above the nicest beach near Hvar town and town centre is not to far for a scenic walk. Mr Petricic is a very helpful and accomodating host and Lex and Arix are the friendliest gatekeepers :)

When we arrived at hvar by catamaran from Split we just had to make a call to Zivko and 10 minuts later he picked us up at the bus station.
He gave us some great recommendations about places that you have to visit, good restaurants to dinner and things to do in Hvar.
The room (nr.2) isn't that big but it has everything you need to have an excellent stay with the balcony as icing on the cake.

My girlfriend and i enjoyed our stay at Pansion Petricic. We will go back once :)

Tank you to the Petricic family and the lovely dog Arix to give us such a nice stay.

My wife and I stayed here 4 nights. Petricic is a great host. He picked us up and dropped us off at the bus station in Hvar, gave us some great recommendations on places to eat, and who to rent a boat from to get the best deal. The balcony on his apartment is undoubtedly the best feature. Absolutely stunning view of the islands. Apartments come with everything you need and the grocery store is less than a 5 minute walk. in short, highly recommend this for anyone considering a relaxing time in Hvar.

2 couples travelling ( we're in our mid-late 60's). Spent 2 nights at Pansion Petricic. Our rooms were simple but had balcony with fantastic view plus use of the terrace with the same view. The walk up to the Pansion from Hvar town took us about 15 minutes. It looked steep but was easier than it looked. We went up and down at least 3 times each day including walking back late at night.
Zivco is a wonderful host. You can tell he loves Hvar and enjoys sharing it's history and delights with his guests. He had lots of books and information for us.
Our rooms were the first two. There is a shared kitchen with a fridge for storing food as well as minibar fridge in each room for keeping cold drinks to hand. We used the kitchen to prepare lunch which we took out to the terrace which is covered but has the same great view as the rooms. We opted to have breakfast made for us and were served on the terrace. Large platters of meats, cheese, bread, tomatoes, olives. Fruit juice, coffee, tea and freshly fried eggs one day.. great French toast plus all the meat cheese, bread etc on day 2. One nice thing.. Zivco mentioned that we should take all the meat/cheese/tomatoes that we didn't manage to eat for breakfast to make sandwiches for our afternoon snack! This was a real contrast to signs in some b&b's advising no food to be taken from the premises. We had our lunch on the terrace one afternoon..supplemented with beer and fruit bought from the very close supermarket ( the supermarket..just 5 minutes walk down the hill also had some very good baking).
Room 1 ( our friends room) had a small bath tub while our room #2 had a shower. The bathroom was very compact but everything was clean and worked fine. When we left we piled all the luggage into Zivco's car and one of us rode down to the bus station while the others walked. I'd go back to Hvar and this Pansion without any hesitation.

Petricic was an awesome host. He's been there 20 years, and when we arrived he told us he had searched for the "best view of the Croatian coast and this was it". He was right - the balcony views were second to none. You'll get wonderful tips on locations to visit whilst there - in particular listen hard to his advice on the islands - he knows where all the secluded, private coves are. The walks into town are lovely, but he was very kind and picked us up and dropped us back at the start and end of our trip so we didn't have to carry the bags. This has got to be the best value place to stay in Hvar. Last tip: get Petricic started on stories about Hvar, Mljet and there surrounding islands - he's a veritable goldmine.
