This hotel was amazing from the moment of arrival. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Me and my friend unfortunately got sick one day and staff were excellent in supporting us! I would highly recommend this as it is an excellent location and great service.
At our arrival the room had not been properly cleaned (bread crumbs and clothes tags of previous guests on the floor), at least after complaining they changed the room, but all the rooms’ corridors and rooms’ floors are all with stains and not carefully cleaned, the light outside the room is not working and also the light in the bathroom was flashing and never changed for the entire stay; on top it is not possible to switch-off the air conditioning from the control panel, but the only way to do that is to directly switch-off the circuit breaker inside the electrical panel, at least they show you how to do that. These details are definitely not for a 4 stars hotel. The positive points are the location that is perfect and great breakfast a la carte.
The location of the hotel is very central, a very short walk (75 metres) for all the ferries, water front view with all you need for a perfect vacation in Hvar very easily accessible. The bar/restaurant in front of the hotel is very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent, good choice and multiple courses available from acai bowls to pancakes. We had two superior rooms with sea view on the 2nd Floor. I had read reviews about the size of rooms, which was correct they’re pretty small with limited room around the double bed. The thing which does not help is the lighting which is poor and at times you just need more light.
The positives are, the hotel is in a great location and the staff were nice. Unfortunately all of that is heavily outweighed by the terrible state of the rooms. There isn’t actually any flooring down in the rooms, it’s more like carpet underlay. It’s heavily stained in the room, in the hallway, as was the sofa area in the room. For the price (£200 a night) it just isn’t good enough and didn’t represent any value for money at all. If you don’t want to be left feeling disappointed stay somewhere (anywhere) else.
Booked a superior room for just over £200 and was excited to visit based on the photos. Here is my experience. Negatives: Firstly at 5’9 I banged my head constantly being in a tiny attic room (the use of the word “superior” seems ill fitting) and it was incredibly dark. The toilet was broken and I reported this twice on the one night I visited. This is not what I’d expect from a £200 p/n hotel. The check in process was painful. There was one computer for multiple guests and after arriving from the ferry and having to wait 30 minutes just to check in I was really disappointed. No apology for the delay or effort to see to us before that point. Positives: The hotel is in a pretty ideal location, which made getting the ferry and to bars very easy. The breakfast was great and the service staff at breakfast were brilliant. All in all I would not visit again unless I could guarantee a more spacious room / more value for my money.…
