Had to come out of retirement re critiquing as this was a truly memorable experience for all the right reasons. Clearly being a new [full refurbishment helped] and apart from the new ness it was modern i.e. lighting, aircon controlled independently by room, simple on off showers with modern fittings through out. The pool have decent swim jets for exercise. The pool area surprisingly accommodated the 30 or so rooms for guests to lounge and only a few steps down was a prime spot for sun bathing directly on the beach with easy access to the sea. Despite the refurb this well established 1929 Family owned is a true boutique hotel retaining the character of bygone ages incorporating the modem amenities. Nothing was to much trouble from the usual reservations in local hostelries and travel to detail such as a pair of sun glasses were shipped via ferry for repair in Split, Ana and Kristina on front desk were above and beyond always looking for feed back and additional support that would enhance the experience. Our room was professionally serviced during breakfast with fruit and water replaced daily. Mia providing a range of Spa treatments and her deep tissue got into places i didn't know where there:-) The restaurant was quality but restricted in its offering being only recently opened and against stiff competition Gariful for example. We had to use a gym at another hotel as for those like me that need to keep the body moving whilst fully indulging they await construction of a complete new fitness centre being constructed during the 22/23 closed season. Cant recommend this facility highly enough look forward to visiting again next season thank you for making our stay so pleasurable. And of course there is Hvar and the Dalmatian islands......

Moeesy is one of the most excellent luxury boutique hotels we have stayed in worldwide. This incredible hotel has fantastic amenities, comfortable rooms, and an outstanding staff. The location is exceptional because it is close to downtown Hvar, yet far enough to avoid all the craziness and noise of late-night partygoers. The best part is the three pools overlooking the ocean, which no other 5-star hotel in Hvar offers. If you are staying at this hotel, utilize Kristina’s help and all her wonderful recommendations for restaurants and tours. Her recommendation was outstanding and made our trip so much more memorable. Kristina, thank you for your exceptional service.

We arrived by Ferry to HVAR and we were greeted by a guy from the hotel who takes your luggage, we could not fit in the small electric vehicle which took our luggage but its only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the hotel, which we preferred as opposed to getting a taxi. The hotel is fantastic with amazing view, Check in was easy, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful with information about stuff to do on the island, and they also recommended some great restaurants. The room we had was with a sea view which was amazing, the room was big enough and very modern and clean. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided, good quality shower gels and shampoos were also provided. The pool area is really nice and relaxed , there is an out door bar but we never had any food there. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of hot and cold buffet, and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. I will certainly return to this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Spent a wonderful week in Hvar at Hotel Moeesy. A very friendly welcome from the staff who were so helpful and charming. Ana and Kristina were so kind and went out of their way to suggest restaurants and activities during our stay. The other hotel concierges were also incredibly helpful and friendly. The Hotel is brand new and we could not fault it. Beautiful position overlooking the sea and a wonderful walk into Hvar town which we enjoyed. We stayed on a B&B basis and enjoyed the relaxed breakfast buffet. Pools and pool bar were fabulous. Our room was very nicely furnished, large ensuite bathroom with views over the gardens and ocean with lovely sunsets. We stayed towards the end of the season but still plenty of life in the restaurants in town of which there are many to chose from. Angelica the hotel Manager was very friendly and must congratulate her on such a beautiful hotel. We look forward to seeing the ongoing projects at the hotel and hope to return. Thank you for making our first visit to Croatia such a memorable one.

The Moeesy hotel is perfectly located next to the Adriatic sea on the island of Hvar. It is a very pleasant 15 minute walk along the coast into the centre of Hvar so you get that perfect combination of relaxation at the hotel but the liveliness of the centre nearby. The hotel is gorgeous and the pool area is great to chillout and have a swim (there are two pools, one deeper than the other so perfect for swimmers and non swimmers). We had a ‘park view’ room as all the sea views were fully booked, it’s not the best view so we often sat in the communal terrace located on the first floor where you had a sea view and you could watch the sunset. The breakfast is really nice, lots of choice. The day we left the hotel there was the most epic storm but Kristina at reception could not help us enough with checking that our ferry was still running and organising a taxi to get us as near to the port as possible to avoid the rain! We had the best time, this is the best hotel to stay at, don’t bother with the hotels in the port as the crowds will drive you mad :)

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Moeesy this past July for our first trip to Hvar. We had an incredible stay! The hotel rooms, amenities, and staff were world class. The staff especially was so incredibly friendly and helpful (Kristina at the front desk/concierge is THE best!). While the hotel is not directly in the port, it is a quick 10 minute walk along the water and a beautiful one at that. When you get off the ferry, there will be someone from the hotel to greet you immediately and transport your luggage to the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, as well as any of the poolside snacks they have available. We were in awe of how quiet the hotel was, and yet within a 3 minute walk you can be at the famous Hula Hula Bar or other beach bars where there is plenty of music and action happening. We truly couldn't recommend this hotel enough, and I can't wait to return in the future!
Day trip tip to Milne - recommended by the concierge. We loved this little island so much, we ended up going back twice! See Marco at Tre Grede for lunch!

Spent a wonderful few days at the Hotel Moeesy. The room we stayed in was beautifully refurbished, had ocean views, and offered very comfortable bedding. The location of the hotel was also a plus - next to the waterfront but a few minute walk to downtown Hvar. It is calm and the perfect getaway location. The staff was all very friendly &professional and the concierge provided excellent recommendations for dinner, boat tours, etc. The breakfast buffet was always an incredible start to the morning, followed by afternoons at the infinity pool. Would highly recommend this hotel to any friends or family and hope to go back soon!

We stayed for 5 nights in August, in the 2 bedroom suite. When selecting the hotel, we looked at a number of options including all of the leading places, and selected this one because of the pool, beach, accommodation and location (an easy 10 min walk along the promenade, so a little more peaceful and less crowded than the hotels right in the centre). The hotel was really excellent - as were all of the staff, in particular Kristina who was so helpful in getting activities arranged/ reservations in place. It was also a hit with our teenagers. Room was very comfortable and the terrace was beautiful.

Staying here was one of the highlights of our time in Croatia. . Everyone on the staff was wonderful and we received great advice from Mia, Kristina and Matilde about restaurants. The rooms are beautiful and the beds and pillows very high end and comfortable. The place is immaculately maintained. The pool is beautiful and you are steps away from the Adriatic.Loved the boutique size of this high-end hotel. Walking into town is easy and this location simply could not be better. Can not say enough about how lovely and quiet this place is. The buffet breakfast is included and is very good, with the sweetest chef making fresh eggs or omelettes. Truly a magical setting..

This is an extremely well-maintained hotel with an excellent staff from top to bottom. Our room was modern and new. Housekeeping promptly cleaned our room each morning and freshened up the room each evening. We were here a total of 4 nights. We had lunch once at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. They have beautiful pools on the property and a really nice pool bar with great bartenders. The grounds are also beautiful. The interesting feature of this hotel is that it is a family affair. We ran into so many of the staff whose families work with them at the hotel. They take great pride in this hotel and they each go out of their way to make your stay a special one.
