We just returned from a trip with two other couples to Croatia, including three nights at the beautiful Villa Jagodna on the island of Hvar. The Villa is secluded outside of Hvar town on a beautiful bay, with direct access to swimming and water activities. The views from each room are lovely, as are the sitting and dining areas. The dinner service was so good we ate at the Villa twice, with grilled fish and meat dishes and wonderful side dishes served personally by the owner Ana and family. Best of all was the wonderful hospitality shown to us by Ana and her staff. We cannot recommend Villa Jagodna higly enough.

A beautiful, relaxing, welcoming family run place where nothing is too much trouble. Our room (8) on the top floor had a magnificent view from the balcony and was a great place to sit in the sun or watch the sun disappear. That’s if you didn’t want to sit on the beautiful terrace instead! There are about a dozen individual sun bathing decks with their own climbing ladders - you can also use their kayaks and SUPs and if there isn’t enough to keep you occupied Hvar town is 100HKR (£11) and 15 minutes (exciting) taxi ride away. And I haven’t even started on dinner! By far the best we had in 10 days in Croatia (we ate here twice) cooked over the wood barby to perfection-local caught fish, lamb, beef. One night we had a starter of some “white fish” the dad had caught, cooked in a tomato stew-marvellous! Ana advised on what we should eat and got it spot on every time-or last night we shared filet steak, a small bream, some slices of shark (yes!!) I think it was what we’d call dog fish or rock salmon-but delicious on the bbq!-oh! And a couple of langoustine!! Can’t speak highly enough of this place and would have given them 6 if I could!!…

This place was a heaven on Earth! We were warmly welcomed by the hosts Petar, Ana and their team. Room was so lovely and the sea view was astonishing. We were truly amazed how they take care of everything to the very last detail. The fact that this place is so quiet, calming and in perfect location, brings peace to everyone who wants to forget about everyday worries for a few days. With every minute, our stay at Villa Jagodna was getting even better and better. When we got back from those beautiful stone beaches, we decided to stay for a dinner. We thought that it couldn't get better but we were wrong. The dinner was so delicious and we loved the fact that the main course was prepared in a barbecue right in front of you. Until the end of our stay, we were enjoying dinner and good wines at sunset in this perfect place❤️ We were sad when our check out time has come but for sure we will come back as soon as possible.…

Wonderful stay at this beautiful place, can see why it is #1 on trip advisor! The view is incredible and the home cooked food amazing. Villa Jagodna is a haven of peace set on a stunningly beautiful secluded bay just 5 miles away from Hvar town. We were two couples and we enjoyed an absolutely lovely and very relaxing 8 nights here. This is a family run business, and it shows in the service you receive- everyone is extremely friendly and nice and does everything possible to make your stay special. An early morning swim across the bay, followed by an extremely generous slap up breakfast all included- what could be better! Dinner is delicious with fresh catch of the day( (or meat if you prefer) cooked to perfection on the barbecue. You can arrange for taxi rides to and from Hvar or elsewhere but I recommend renting a car, Hvar is a beautiful and very interesting island with lots to see, Villa Jagodna is the perfect base. Very Nice place. Family owned restaurant with the best service and great food. We arrived by sailboat and used one of their mooring buoys. We had their menu with starters and fish or Meat for maincourse and dessert for only 300 kuna Per person. Only downside is that they dont accept creditcard

As all the other reviews have said this is a fabulous place. Wonderful location, private areas right by the clear sea. The food and service are phenomenal, Ana is so attentive it is amazing. The choice of fish at dinner is great and it was cooked to perfection. Overall an idyllic, family run hotel with great food, what more would you want.

We came back for the second time and spent 6 days in this small, amazing retreat. A family owned and managed small hotel with an excellent restaurant service. Ana, the daughter of the owner, is a fabulous host, caring so much about every single guest. The bay has private spots with direct access to the truly stunning bay and sea. It is a place we dreamed about since last time we came and we are so happy to be back. Thanks Ana and Petar and all the great staff for a wonderful stay!
