Our room had a wonderful view overlooking the large pool and the Adriatic Sea. Just stunning!! Full buffet breakfast served overlooking the outside terrace and Bars found just off the lobby and poolside, must visit this beautiful hotel.

The hotel was nice but we were moved to their sister property because they were closed during the period. The sister hotel was nice as well, with good facilities. The only downside was that the room was very far from the pool and dining areas/gym.

The good - An ok affordable option, amazing location (a lot of steps to get there so something to consider if you struggle), really nice pool area playing music, good for couples and young people, decent breakfast. The bad - Awful sleep because there is no sound proofing so you can hear literally everything and as there’s clubs nearby people are coming in loud until 6am, terrible service everything felt like we were asking too much, no help to get suitcases up the stairs, no lifts in the building, dirty, our rooms were never cleaned we had rubbish and glasses in there for the entire duration of our stay, key cards never worked which meant walking up and down multiple flights of stairs and walking to the reception from the furthest block (this happened four times), staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, thin towels (cleaners never replaced the same amount they took so we actually had to share a towel at one point). You get what you pay for to be honest, we wouldn’t stay again but for some it might be ok.

The hotel is on a hill overlooking the beautiful Paklinski islands and it's a short walk down to Hvar harbour. Our room was clean, the beds were exceptionally comfortable and the ensuite was large with a big walk in shower. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the lunch and dinner menus were filled with great fresh food options. The pool plays good music and does great smoothies, it was a great spot for chilling out. I would also recommend booking their airport transfer service - this was so smooth and effortless, it took the sting out of having to work this out ourselves! But the BEST thing about the hotel was the staff - so friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help us.

Really couldn’t fault this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. They have a fridge and all amenities you would require for a good stay. The pool area is very well maintained, clean and plenty of sun beds available. The food and drink is fairly reasonable for hotel prices too and all was really nice. Breakfast was standard for a buffet, some items started to disappear quicker than others and weren’t replenished as they approached the end of breakfast time so definitely go before 09:30 if there’s something you specially want. The walk up the hill is a bit strenuous but nothing to put you off. We quite enjoyed it after a lazy day of lots of eating and drinking too! One thing I did note, there’s limited access for wheelchairs and the route back without steps would take quite some time.

Great hotel for the price - great value for money. Very clean and great sea view room (1209). Yes it is full of 20-30 year olds but mainly couples. Run by same chain as Amfora and location to town is excellent ! Staff hardworking and friendly and the bed chairs comfortable with pool towels provided. Beds very comfy, good shower and great air con

Decent sized room, although woke up most nights as we could hear people coming in at 4-5am. Would recommend you bring earplugs if you don’t want to be woken up. Cleaners were good, they cleaned and changed towels everyday. Pool area was nice - they provided towels and the music was good. We ordered lunch by the pool off the menu a couple of times and the food was nice each time. However we found drinks to be poor. No ice given in soft drinks, I ordered a strawberry daiquiri. Which barely had any strawberry in it. I took it back to the bar, told them it didn’t taste like strawberry and asked if she could add more to give it more flavour. All I got in response was we can’t add any more because we have to budget it over the month. I couldn’t quite understand so I left my cocktail to melt in the sun. They wouldn’t replace or change it for me. Over the next few days I saw other girls order the same cocktail and leave it. I’m guessing they thought the same. The least they could do as a paying customer is give you a decent drink. If you can’t make a strawberry daiquiri properly then take it off the menu. Reception staff were very friendly, breakfast was average. Hotel location was good only a few minutes walk to restaurants/bars/marina. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk past the amfora hotel. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay and Hvar is beautiful.

This was the forth hotel we stayed in on our month long trip around Croatia. It was booked for us but I think this hotel is more suited for a different age group. I think if you are between 25 to 40 you will enjoy it along with the loud music at the pool and the batman tiles in the shower, yep I said Batman "Boom". Its not a place that you might be able to fully relax. The rooms are clean, but the sea view in the "Block" we were in, were over advertised as having full sea view. There are four blocks of accommodation #1 #2 #3 #4 as they are named, some with balconies some with shared terraces. You can't pay for anything on your room, including drinks at the pool bar or restaurant but they still took credit card details on checking in. The staff I thought were very pleasant and the service was good. The breakfast was nice and the menu by the pool bar was also good. We asked for a Iron to sort my shirts when I unpacked and the reception gave us the security card for the cleaning staff room to search for one ourselves, we didn't find one. We had to prompt them to clean the room and replace the towels as well. The town is a nice down hill walk from the Hotel. If you have mobility issues, the return walk uphill might not be for you. We would not return, not because it was so bad because it really wasn't, it's just not for us but I would recommend my children and their friends to stay there.

While rooms are quite modern and cozy everything else is under standards: swimmimg pool is too small and crowded, staff is unhappy and unpleasent, food is very limited and bad quality ( breakfast is inside hotel and for dinner gave to go to nearby hotelnAmpfora 🤣), value for money is very poor means hotel is a way overpriced for what they offer...anyway better to avoid and find some descent place to spend vacation in hotel Pharos you will just waste your time...

As I mentioned in title of this review Hotel`s Director attitude is: Don`t expect anything, tells you everything. I couldn`t believe seeing this guy in action. His behavior is not just negatively surprising but really anti customer service and offensive. His defensive, arguing attitude , no interest in guests, left me really sad. I am Croatian, Hvar lover and coming every year to Hvar and recommending it to all my friends. I do not dare to recommend Suncani Hvar to anyone. I t is not that I was disappointed only with accommodation ( to be quite honest I didn't come to admire rooms but was expecting decent room) but mostly with a service. Staff is walking around sad and with no smile complaining about low salary while Hotel director is drinking beer in the evening on the Hotel terrace. If you are unhappy with a room, don`t expect any understanding. You will just get a hate treatment from Director. Girls on the reception are nice and smiling but either they are not well trained or do not have enough authority so you can`t really expect much. Housekeeping will encourage you to fight for your rights since they know that there are better rooms. The saddest thing is not seeing customer orientation. You are always somehow left under impression that you haven`t paid enough to be treated as a guest. You will be reminded by Director several times that it is only 3 star hotel-whatever it means. Hotel is actually Hostel. If you are coming to party few days in Hvar this could be a good place even though too expensive for that purpose considering what it offers. Rooms are super small, no wardrobe but just shelves,..Covid measures are not existing if we are not counting 2 bottles of disinfectant liquid at the entrance of Restaurant. Meals are served al Buffet. I asked waitress to wipe the table before I sat for the breakfast. She commented that is is happening only at the end of the shift. So I did it myself :( It is pity because it could be lovely place if managed properly. Hotel is up the hill but quite close to the beach and town. They do not bother helping guests arrived by Catamaran with baggage but you have to drag it yourself up the hill at 40C temperature. In fact if you are not fit and not willing to climb -forget this Hotel. I had a leak in my room (water from toilet from upper floor was leaking through ventilation on my head) From the second attempt we managed to get help and it stopped leak within 2 h. However nobody bother to send house keeping to clean it afterwards.
