Me and my friends decided to spend a pretty one-week holiday in Hvar... if you have to... you have to do it with the prettiest persons! And here you are!
Elisa and Jean-Claude (the owners' villa) were so kind to us, as soon as we went in "Jean-Claude's studio" he steerd us, explaining what were the nicest beaches in the area to us, the island structure and the nearest makets in the zone.
To reach the market and the port (2/8-10 mins on foot respectively), you have to walk down some stone steps. It's all right there where you stand.
I stayed in the mansarda: I must say it is not so comfortable , especially if you are a tall person, since the roof is so low; but on the other hand, the mansarda is very clean and most of all, it is very cheap as well, so here is the pro, if you want to save some money. I liked our breakfasts and our dinners we had together a lot, out of our rooms( we had booked two mansardas and two rooms provided with kitchen, etc., for eight of us) in the garden at the ground floor, in front of the lemon tree.
The rugged coastline Hvar is so suggestive: it gifts you things like...a very clean seawater in all its blue/green shades, the excursion to blue&green caves ( I strongly suggest you to have this great experience) ,as well as amazing sunsets and all the beauty of nature, which it seems to belong to these enchanting places...
Our nights were spent in the bars in the centre and in some free-entry clubs ( untill 2 a.m.) so well-organized.
Hvar being an island is more expensive than the mainland (in Split, for example, the water costs less than half ). The only thing bothering( for me)...is the excange!Kunas almost a nightmare for us! Fortunately, J.Claude helped us also in that problem...
In the end, once again, I'd like to spend more words on these loving people... J.Claude and Elisa. They were always very available and loving to us, they reminded me my grandparents...even if I wasn't at home. As good Neapolitans, we had fun talking about ours personal things, our habits, and our different meals ... lol.
The day we left ( seven o' clock a.m.), J.Claude hugged us so strongly, like only a father can do it .I was very impressed on that, he almost moved me. I really appreciated their smiles while they were seeing us having fun between us, making them understand we stayed very good there (Y)
So what else?
What are you waiting for?
Enjoy your holiday as you wish!
Thank Champagnepapiii

Nice apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Hosts were very friendly. Location was ok, enjoyable walk to the town centre took 10mins via a supermarket and a few restaurants but there is a set of steps to contend with.

We enjoyed our stay but both woke up with sore backs as the beds are pretty hard. The owners are warm and welcoming and speak perfect English. You can reach it easily by walking round the coast and then up a street (after the football pitch), then up a flight of stone steps. It's 20mins to the centre and a fairly rocky 20mins to the beach. We quite enjoyed the walk after lunch, though you need to be aware it's there. Hvar is generally much more expensive than the rest of Croatia and so the accommodation is reasonably priced. Wi-fi signal is not strong enough to reach the rooms so you need to wander outside (where there are communal chairs and tables), i'm old so consider this a good thing with the oppertunity to socialise. There isn't air-con in the rooms either though we knew that when we booked it... just checking you noticed too :-)
Thank aipetty

Elisa and her husband have set up a great little place to stay in Hvar. It is a 10 minute walk uphill from the town, the port and the beach (as most places seem to be). There are nice areas to sit and have a drink or have some food if your room has a kitchen. Everything was made very easy for us by Elisa and her husband. Thank you for your hospitality!

This apartment is so perfect, the owners are the loveliest people you'll ever meet who went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, the apartment itself was so cosy and clean with everything you need! It is very close to the buzzy centre, and also very close to the nearest beach which is lovely! This apartment has such a lovely feel about it, very homely and I would encourage anyone to stay here!

About
Description
La Casa di Elisa, the former "Villa Pranic", is situated in the area Križna Luka of Hvar city, 5 minutes walk to the sea and 10 minutes to the historical centre. She offers 10 studios 3*, six of More them with a sea view, one 4 persons apartment and two rooms, all of them with en-suite bathroom, WC and satellite TV. The garden invites to relaxation under the shadow of the big fig tree or to sun bathing. We, Jean-Claude and Lise, a french-dutch couple, are literally fallen in love with this dalmatian island which is said to belong to the ten most beautiful islands in the world. After several stays, we finally decided to buy this villa and to change it into a guest house. You will certainly have a pleasant stay in la Casa di Elisa! Less
