A wonderful host and wife -high standard apartment with all we needed. Comfortable bed and outstanding balcony direct view of the sea and islands with good sitting space . 2 Restaurants near by are good but 15 min walk to main centre where many more good ones to choose . Walk from centre can be hilly but on main walkway is a lovely stroll by the sea.
I have stayed in multiple hotels and apartments in the city of Hvar, both in the city center and the outskirts, and this is by far the best place. Franco(Tamara's Husband) is always pickibng us up at the bus station. The rooms are clean, and the rooms that are facing the ocean has a beatiful view. We could sit for hours each day just looking at the view. Especially at night, when the moon is up, its a spectacular lightshow in the ocean. Its also quiet compared to accomadations closer to the city. Its a 10-20 min walk to the city center, and i find this nice so you can walk of the excess holiday weight ;). All in all, this is one of the best places to live when visiting Hvar.
Very kind welcoming owner, clean good facilities for self catering. Supermarket near. Location excellent; quiet mainly, suburbs of Hvar town, yet short walk along sea front to centre and also in other direction to small local beaches (pebble) swimmable quiet harbour & excellent viking dive center.
When we arrived in Hvar, Franco (Tamara's husband) was here to pick us up to the apartment. He also lift us back to the ferry the day we were leaving. The apartment was big enough for two. We had our how kitchen, bathroom and balcony. The room was the perfect size for a couple. We had two big towels for the shower and two small one for the hands and the face. It was perfect. We had a hairdryer too. The kitchen is equipped. The only think that was missing (and it's only to have a one bad things to say) was a kitchen linen, but we were eating out all the time, so for us it wasn't a big problem. The apartment is in a great location. There's a market just 2 min walking. HulaHula bar is 5 min walking distance. The port is 10 to 15 minutes walking, but there's a nice sea walking to reach the port and the path is all illuminated. We were there at the end of may, so there's not to many tourists. Clubs were not open, but there're some bars on the port with great cocktails. We had lunch and dinner in restaurants every days, price are almost the same everywhere and they're all good (except lungo mare). If you are in Hvar, you have to go to Pamizama beach, it's in San Klement, but it's really with it. You can take a boat on the port and public or a private one. You also have to go to the fortress it's a rally nice place to see a sunset.…
Great apartment, well equipped, very clean and with stunning view from the balcony. Located 10 min. walk from the city centre and 3 min. walk from the beach, it gives you perfect opportunity to enjoy the city life, but not to get tired with the noise of city nightlife. If you travel with kids - you will find a playground on your way to the city. Franco and Tamara are great hosts, very helpful and friendly. We have asked them to arrange baby crib for us, and this was done with no additionaly charge. If we visit Hvar once again - we will surely stay in Apartments Tamara again.
Franko and Tamara were extremely hospitable, I had talked to them briefly over the phone to organise our arrival dates and the booking of the apartment. When we arrived they picked us up from the bus stop which was only a short walk from the port. Arriving at the apartments I could tell that they were well looked after, very clean and they had all the essentials you would expect. We stayed in apartment orange which is through the gate and down a small flight of stairs. We had two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lovely kitchen and a terrace with a table and chairs. Franko and Tamara were easily contacted as they were only down the hallway. They let us know the directions to the beach (2 minute walk) and to town (10-15 minutes) and that we could have our towels changed during the week. After our stay in Hvar, they also dropped us back at the bus stop so we could catch our ferry at 6am! Truly great hosts and I would definitely recommend staying here. If I revisited Hvar I would stay with them again!…
We have just returned from these apartments and cannot thank the owners enough. They went out their way to help us have a lovely time on Hvar. We had the top floor apartment and it was clean and functional . It was so special to wake up to amazing views to the islands and the supermarket is a stones throw . Our only complaint was having to leave and our stay in Trogir was not as pleasing. We would like to thank you both for having us . Marc Bry and Debbie 18th September
We stayed here for a week as we were attending a wedding in Hvar. Franko & Tamara were the perfect hosts picking us up from the bus station & dropping us off with all our luggage when we were going home. Hvar is a beautiful Island and we will be visiting again as we didnt see everything we would have liked to, as we were busy with the Wedding. We would stay at these appartments again extremley clean and well equiped. 10-15 mins walk from Hvar town along the sea front.
Great apartments in a quiet location.Very good value. Short walk from the centre of town (around 15 minutes) along the coastal path. We stayed in the yellow apartment. This was split level with two single on top floor which was perfect for our kids. Also had TV and a sofa bed. The lower floor had the double bedroom with access to the balcony which has lovely panoramic sea views. Also on the lower floor were the bathroom and kitchen/dinner. Unlike some other apartments we have stayed in Croatia, those in Hvar don't generally have swimming pools. However, you it's a short walk to the Hotel Amfora where you can pay to use the excellent pool complex there. Adults were 100 kuna, kids free. Alternatively there is a small pebble beach a couple of minutes from the apartment with plenty of others within a short stroll. Franko and Tamara are excellent hosts. Franko picked us up a from the town centre when we arrived on the catamaran from Split. Also dropped us down when we were leaving. Although our third time in Croatia this was the first time we had stayed on one of the islands. To get to Hvar we flew to Split and got the bus from ther airport to the ferry port which is very reasonable. From Split port you can get fast catamaran to Hvar town which takes just over an hour. Note that if you have time to kill before your boat there are plenty of places you can store baggage in Split opposite the ferry port. We used the railway station which has coin operated lockers. The port itself is right next to Diocletian's Palace which is a UNESCO world heritage site and well worth exploring.…
Apartments Tamara is a well situated in the town of Hvar and only a short walk to the center of town (along a very delightful path). The building is located in a quiet residential area. The views from this hill location are fantastic.. Our apartment was nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. The deck is large and its where we spent most of our time. The apartment had everything you would need for a short stay and there is a grocery store only 1/2 block away. We also loved the free internet , as everyone needs to be connected to Facebook these days.. The owners (Tamara & Franko) are very nice and helpful. They will pick you up at the ferry landing and bring you to their location (so there is no need to worry about finding the place). They are helpful with any questions you might have, but they also respect your privacy. While my partner & I had originally planned to stay 4 nights, we ended up staying one additional day as Hvar and Apartments Tamara are places you don't readily want to leave. I would highly recommend this place for anyone spending more then a day or two on Hvar..…
