Lovely friendly family run hotel. Perfectly located - in walking distance of the harbour (evening drinks and food) and the beautiful Zlatni Rat. Very clean, characterful and good swimming pool. Decent breakfast. Sea view rooms with balcony are recommended.

I was here for three nights. The hotel is very close to the center of Bol, in the middle between the dominican monastery and the golden horn, two of the most important things to see in Bol. Rooms was ok, nothing of special. Unfortunately, I didn’t appreciated the breakfast.

Villa Daniela is located on a small hill in a quiet neighborhood between the center of Bol and Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn Beach). The room was very clean and we were on an upper floor with a beautiful view over the sea! The staff was friendly and recommended some sites to visit and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very good location between the centre of Bol and the famous beach! Nice walk both sides. Alltho the villa is on the hill if you don't like walking up after long day out in hot weather! Our room was very very basic and tiny for the 3 of us. The room was still on 80is. Mattress hard for our taste. We did had to ask for more pillows which they quickly provided. Very nice people and if it wouldn't been for the dated room it would be 5 star. As the breakfast was fab, eggs and bacon. Lovely pool ! Even tortoises like it, they live next to it, fascinating to watch them. Hole family of tortoises :) Very cute. Good view from the balcony which we had. Overall would love to come back, just maybe different room next time. Overall Bol is beautiful ! Loads of restaurants and yachts. Wednesdays they have village market on the centre with local food! Make sure you keep walking to the end of Bol, sort of to find a restaurant Ribarska Kucica where you feel like in the set of film Mamma mia...stunning. Food sadly was poor but its worth it just to sit there !

We loved the location, not far from the Zlatni Rat beach and a few minutes from the center. The staff and service was great, they were helpful and kind. They even upgraded us since they had a balcony room available. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and a morning at the beautiful pool. Would definitely recommend this Villa!

This hotel is in a nice quiet part of Bol, just far enough away for it to be peaceful. It's right near to all the most popular beaches and nice bars and places to eat. Our room was kept immaculately clean, it was basic but perfectly acceptable. The bed was firm but comfy and the air conditioning worked fine although it was a bit noisy. The staff was absolutely wonderful, the hotel owners were welcoming and friendly and frankly I don't have anything negative to say. The only thing I would say is that the room was a little too small for 2 of us for 2 weeks but that was a small gripe as we had a wonderful time staying with them all. Thank you very much indeed Hotel Villa Daniela! PS. the breakfast was good too

I had an incident with parking my car. Apparently, they keep various objects (such as boxes and chairs) thrown on the floor in an area across the road from the hotel where people park their cars, saving places for the hotel's guests. I moved one of these objects to park my car. I thought this was legitimate as I brought family friends to the hotel with my car. Soon after parking my car, a member of the staff approached me with an angry tone telling me that I should not have moved the objects that were lying on the floor and asked me to move my car away. We ended up having an argument. I doubt that the given area is a private property of the hotel or that they have exclusive rights to use it. The area is part of a nearby park. If they were owners or had an exclusive rights to use it, then I imagine they would have designated parking places, clearly marked to be reserved for the hotel guests. I asked whether they can show me some proof of the ownership, but received only insults in return. I moved my car at the end, not to cause any further trouble.

We were situated in Hotel Villa Daniela for 4 nights and it was perfect. Top location, clean rooms, great staff. We had breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast is 'all you can eat' and you really can't because there is lots of everything, we loved it! For dinner, we could choose from few dishes including soup before and the desert after meal. We were very satisfied. Air conditon worked perfetly, as well as the Wi-Fi. We will definitly come again! Thank you for everything! :)

+ Very cheap + Kind staff + Clean and tidy room upon arrival + The room has a safe (although with a standard code given by the staff, not possible to change this) + Nice location, between center and Zlatni Rat -Aircondition turned off during the night -Warm refrigerator -Wi-Fi not working -Uncomfortable beds -Cleaning staff only makes the bed, does not even wash the towels -Thin walls, can easily hear neighbors -Breakfast below average -Drain in bathroom smells like urine/sewer at times -Old and outdated rooms I started on this review the second day, and at this point the review was supposed to reflect a 3- or 2-star review. But, as the days went on, things happened that made our stay become very unpleasant. We can’t understand why this hotel has got so many great reviews. Yes, it’s very cheap and with a nice staff! But seen from an objective point of view, this shouldn’t make up for all the flaws this place has. The review is based on a 6-day stay on the third floor, without a balcony. In other TripAdvisor reviews, several of the things below are addressed, but the reviewers have either not identified the cause of the problem or scope of it. We had trouble sleeping the first two nights, because the aircondition stopped producing cold air in the middle of the night. It was awfully warm, and made us take cold showers during the night to sleep. After reading other reviews on TripAdvisor thoroughly, it seemed like the staff were turning the central AC off during the night, and kept it that way until someone complained. I confronted them about the second night politely the third day, which made the staff seem a bit nervous while they tried to explain that they turned it off last night (although this had been over two nights), and they guaranteed the AC would be on for the rest of our stay. This did NOT happen, and the other guy in the reception came with a different explanation: every night between 3 and 6 the AC had to «regenerate» and would therefore be off, but said he would fix it and it would work the next night. I talked to them every day after that, more and more annoyed by it, and by the last day, we were so tired of not getting proper sleep we could not wait to move on. We slept a week in this hotel without AC between 2ish to 6ish. The internet is too slow to be of any use, so the hotel is practically without Wi-Fi. The refrigerator is also too warm to cool anything you might want to store, and when confronted with it, the staff said fridges in Croatia usually holds about 10-15 degrees (really?). The beds are not very good, and you can feel the springs. The breakfast is below average, but has what you need to start the day. Eggs were cooked green, omelets were soggy from oil, and we found a lump of mold in the yoghurt. We could often hear our neighbors through the walls, or people talking in the hallway. Some of the rooms are without a balcony, combined with the small space this makes little room for drying towels/swimming clothes etc. The bathroom did at some times smell like urine, which seemed to come out of the drainage on the floor. The washing personell did not do anything except make the bed and empty the trash. We even discovered that they do NOT change the towels, even if you throw them in a pile on the floor! One of the towels were stained and stiff by after-sun, and when the washing personell had put «new» towels up (which looked nice and clean), we later identified the stain on the towel, and there is no doubt about it that this is the same towel UNWASHED. The stain were still stiff and not washed off. The cleaning personell also washed our room even though we did not want them to, and had hung the «do not disturb» sign on the door. We did not feel comfortable about this, as all our things and some valuables were spread out across the room since we hadn’t planned a visit from the cleaning personell. The rooms are in general old and outdated, and there are several small flaws in addition to the things mentioned above. Examples are strong urine smell from the drain in the bathroom at times, a leaking sink that splash all over the bathroom, loose doorhandles etc. With the above said, we enjoyed our week in Bol, and it’s of course a nice stay if you don’t care about the things mentioned above. Keep in mind our experience might vary to other floors or rooms (e.g. Wi-Fi and smell in the bathroom), but a lot of the stuff we experienced should apply for the hotel and staff in general. The staff were nice and helpful with small matters (but not important stuff like AC), and the hotel has got what you need. But, if you need internet, good sleep, clean towels, comfortable beds, nice looking rooms or a refrigerator, this is not the place for you.
