Hotel's Favorite
We decided to extend our Croatian holiday by a trip to Bol and found this amazing hotel with a garden at the rear and a terrace for drinks and breakfast. The service was fantastic and you could have a cooked breakfast if you wanted to in addition to the great selection which included homemade cakes. The room was very comfortable and very clean. We are do glad we were able to visit this lovely hotel.

We are family of 3 ! We took one room with a double bed and a small bed ( ideal for children not adult to small) and the room had a view upon the sew !
The hotel is at 10 min by foot from the port with a little road to hike to access to hit.
The owners and their teams are so kind, they give us so many smiles and advices. We felt like home but inside a wonderful big house. The garden remind me garden from Italy with flower and little light.
The breakfast is not huge but enough with some fruits, yogurt and cake . All of their cake and jam are homemade and the cake gluten free ! Careful if you want a special coffee : cappuccino or ice coffee you will be charged because they served for free only black coffee, tea or milk.
I 100% recommended this place for a family or a romantic trip !

We were so glad to have chosen this hotel for our trip to Bol in July 2019.
The staff at the hotel were so friendly that arriving at the hotel was almost like coming home. The hotel is a small and peaceful oasis in the lively waterfront town of Bol. Once you close the iron gates of the hotel behind you, the hustle and bustle of Bol leaves you entirely. The hotel has a lovely garden and breakfast was served in the front garden under a canopy every morning. Breakfast was served to the guests at the table, which was something that we really appreciated. The breakfast was very tasty, with homemade jams, toast, fruit, coffee, tea, yoghurt and eggs prepared according to the guest's wishes. The room was quite small and modest but very clean and with a view to the sea. The bed was perhaps too soft but still good enough for a good night's sleep. I Would highly recommend the Villa Giardino boutique hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and intimate getaway in Croatia.
And to top it all off, the hotel even sends its guests Christmas cards!

Thank you very much for this great review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay, and that you loved our tasty breakfast! We had a major renovation in 2020, and, among other things, we refurbished rooms with handmade furniture and brought lightning-fast Internet connection to our hotel via optic cable. We would love to host your stay again, so you can experience all of our new features!

This is the most wonderful hotel with the most amazing staff from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The suite was fantastic highlight was the terrace with a sea view, whole hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great they even made us a take away breakfast on our last day, they catered to any food intolerances even made a gluten free cake which was lovely and the gardens were beautiful. The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk to restaurants and bars on the front and you can also where you get the ferry, a small beach is about a 10 minute walk and Zlatni rat beach was about 20/25 minute walk so all round a great location.
If we ever get the chance would definitely love to go back as the hotel for us was as close to perfect as could be. Also cannot thank Nick enough for going above and beyond to help us when we had an issue with our ferry connection to Dubrovnik, would definitely recommend checking with the ferry company as the company we used cancelled the route (From Bol) we needed without any notice

Pros:
The Manager, Nick, is very friendly and willing to provide advice. Room 107 was quite large with a comfortable bed and well appointed with nice touches. Good enough views from room (filtered sea views) but with the need to keep the heat out and blinds drawn you really don't get to appreciate the views. Good location close to town, just up a steep road. Very quiet rooms with hardly any outside noise but there is a little noise from bathroom above when in use. Private hotel with a locked front gate so it feels very secure. The cakes that Nick makes for breakfast are beautiful but you can only eat so many sugary things at breakfast. More savoury options would be nice such as nuts, seeds, salad options, giardiniera, etc. After 4 days, we had to go otherwise we'd put on too much weight with such wonderful cakes! 🤣
Cons:
Bathroom too small with no space to store toiletries. Bathroom needs renovation to bring it up to current hotel standards with adequate bench space. With the heat it's a shame the hotel has no pool as there is adequate space in the rear or front gardens for one and in such a hot environment a pool should be standard (Nick advises that there were plans for this). No slippers, bathrobes, iron or ironing board provided such are standard in most hotels of this calibre. AC is OK but could be better as room stays quite warm even with settings on low temp and high fan. Breakfast is quite a small offering (though you can order many things but without a menu, it's not exactly clear what is actually on offer) and to further rub salt into the wound, they charge between €1.5 to €2 for an espresso coffee or latte which is quite insulting given the high cost of the room. The breakfast is hosted on the "beautiful terrace" but it is far too hot in temperature at times and windy and has many flies and wasps. They could at least provide fans. The hotel provides 1x750ml bottle of water at check in then you must purchase any more after that, which is very unsatisfactory for a hotel charging around €300 per night. Water bottles should be provided each day plus water should be provided at reception in a large cooler for guests to use. There is no nespresso machine, which again is standard for hotels with high room rates. I don't like to be overly critical of a place when I did receive fabulous service from Nick, however I do feel that for the price paid there really should be more inclusions.

Staying a week at the Villa Giardino felt like being royalty and being with family at the same time. Everyone made us feel pampered and welcome. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with many options available including eggs made to our liking. Eating at a beautiful green terrace made everything taste even better. The facilities were spotless clean and wifi in the room was very stable. The recently reconstructed Superior room was very nice and comfortable. Nick, the hotel manager, provided many useful local tips and even packed us snacks for the journey on our last morning there. We will definitely stay at Villa Giardino again if we come back to Bol again.

Villa Giardino offered us an amazing stay while we were in Bol. The hotel has been recently and stylishly renovated. Our room was lovely, with touches of dove gray and emerald green throughout. The reception area is also gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous, the gardens are lovely and fragrant with flowers. There were many places to lounge throughout the day. Breakfast was delicious, with both a buffet-style setup and with eggs to order. More than anything, though, it's the personal service that sets Villa Giardino apart. Our host, Nick, was so helpful and informative. He helped us set up a scooter excursion and even saved us from making a mistake related to the ferry schedule. It felt like nothing was too much for him. The hospitality here cannot be beat.

We stayed in the stylish Villa Giardino for a week in September and are absolutely speechless! Everything was fine! The hotel is in a very central location, yet it is very quiet. The rooms were very large, the bed super comfortable with very good pillows. The view is fantastic and in general the room was very, very clean! The entire hotel complex is beautiful and everything is made with a lot of love. There are many seating areas to relax. The breakfast, freshly prepared each morning, is the best we have ever had. Nick reads every wish from your lips and prepares breakfast with his team. There is fresh fruit every morning as well as homemade cakes, pastries etc. Nick, the manager, was the most pleasant and accommodating hotel manager we have ever encountered! We have absolutely nothing to complain about during our stay and are very happy that we chose Villa Giardino! We will be back definitely!

Villa Giardino is perfectly located 1 minute away (up a hill) from central Bol with a store around the corner, great restaurants (Riva was my favourite) within a couple of hundred meters, and walking distance (20 minutes) to the Zlatni-rat Beach with several other beaches available within a couple of minutes.
The hotel operators/staff are wonderful people (Nick and Elena with crew) who make the breakfast you want and ensure that there are fresh fruits, newly baked cakes, and bread as well as egg dishes of your choice. If you want some snacks or a glass of local wine then they will fix that for you.
We will definitely return to Bol and will stay at Villa Giardino again.

I travel a lot, and when you do anything a lot, you tend to become cynical. Certainly, it takes a great deal to overwhelm me, but the stay my wife and I have just enjoyed at the Villa Giardino has done just that.
The hotel is an immaculately kept property just up the short hill from the small, pretty harbour of Bol. First impressions were excellent. We were met by the very personable and solicitous proprietor, Nick, who personally showed us to our room overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Ours was a superior room, well furnished with everything we needed.
The hotel is peaceful and beautiful. There is a quiet courtyard to the rear where we sat and read in the heat of the afternoon. There is a beautiful garden furnished with loungers. And, best of all, there is a vine-clad terrace where breakfast is served.
And what a breakfast! Fruit, cereals, pastries and whatever else you feel like, all cooked to order. And bottomless cups of coffee, too.
Housekeeping is of a very high standard. We were highly impressed that our room was made up every morning while we were at breakfast. That level of service is very rarely found, even in five-star hotels.
Finally, I must mention the staff. Each and every member was unfailingly polite, friendly and anxious to help. They are kind, outstanding people, and hugely impressive.
In short, this is a great hotel. We both loved it and will make every effort to return as soon as possible.
Recommended in the highest possible terms.
