During our 3 weeks tour of yunan we had the best time in Dali and thanks to Jim. We felt soo comfortable that we ended up extended our stay twice. The hotel is quite yet near from the old town, clean and spacious rooms with a small but beautiful garden and ohhh,, the view point at the terrace with the...

We Stayed here for one night to explore dali a bit. A big room with separate bath and sleeping room was impressive. Bathroom ok. Breakfast is 40 yuan with choice of egg +toast, pancake, coffee/tea, juice. Unlimited refill if necessary😉. Location outside old city walls, but very close.

We had a 2 BR suite which was lovely, and the garden and decor we really enjoyed. But talking with Jim and other guests either over breakfast or after dinner is why you stay is delightful. I said in anothervreview that Jim is an oasis in a desert of English speakers. Breakfasts are now excellent, and I think the girl...

Jim's Tibetan Hotel is like a mix between the best guest house you remember from backpacking when you were young and a confusing hotel you need as to get older. Perfect location, large rooms, tibetan vibe, serviceable bathrooms, and good talks with the owner late at night. We 50 yr old loved it, and our grown kids also. Be nice...

Stayed two nights at Jim's in July, 2016. The hotel has an excellent location on a quiet side street just off of the Southwest corner of Dali Old Town. Enjoyed the breakfast, especially the coffee and the apple-banana pancake. Overall, the service was friendly. The hotel provides a very reasonably-priced laundry service, as long as you don't mind a few...

Great place to stay if you want authenticity, Jim is a genuine guy who makes you feel welcomed. All the rooms are clean and the decor is lovely. The rooms are non smoking but if you do smoke you can sit just outside on the balcony, or roof terrace which has a great view of the mountains and city. We...

After being many times in the Autonomous Region of Tibet I ( TAR ) entering the hotel felt as being in Tibet. The entrance looks like a cosy livingroom decorated with Tibetan prayerflags and many photo's on the wall. Although the lady of the reception did not speak English we managed with some Chinese and mimics. She was very nice....

I was here two days ago and I found this a great hotel. It had a garden with nice plants, my kids say the garden was the best part. The room and bathroom were clean. The phone is working but you need to ask reception first to open the line. This is written in the information book that lies on the...

This hotel was booked for us by our travel agency. The location is good, and Jim the owner is a nice guy, so I feel sorry to write this but... the hotel itself is just bad. The girl at reception barely spoke English and was more interested in her mobile phone than in helping customers. When she took us to...

The hotel has the feeling of little Tibet. Jim the owner is friendly and helpful. His english is perfect. He helped us arrange all our outings and our travel to the airport. The food offered is both Chinese and Tibetan. I drank my first yak tea.... The rooms are clean and are equipped with everything you need for your comfort,...
